The first time I ever saw him, was when he played Gary Hobson on the show Early Edition, back in the late 90s. The next thing I saw him in was in the 2005 remake of King Kong with Naomi Watts. I have always enjoyed his acting, and I wish he would make a movie version of Early Edition, set in today's world, where we can see an older version of his character Gary Hobson, and the modern struggles of the guy "who gets tomorrow's news, today."

If there were more dad's like John's role on this series -- maybe, kids would turn out for the better. I do believe when his mother: (Sissy Spacek) slapped his daughter, I do believe the girl deserved that. When I was growing up: right or wrong, you didn't dare talk back to parents like that. So many kids are just spoiled. The wife should have been more patient with John. She was a bit pushy. John was good. Not, that the wife wasn't a good person & mom. Meg. Wow. Great looking Gal. Great actor. She sure played her role very well.
