This is lovely but I will never understand the lack of proper separation between the child's room and the parents. I understand it works now when the child is young, but imagine they are planning to move out when the child gets a bit older. It would be awkward for both the kid and the parents if they didn't lol
One thing they need to change is the stool for the kitchen/office area. Its is a bar height stool and they need counter height. You can see that she can't scoot her legs under the kitchen counter.
Yes... face palm. This is kind of a 'show' stool. We haven't found the perfect counter height stools yet (we've been thinking of making some, if we ever get time) - and we don't love the look of the ones that we have that are at the right height. We put these pretty vintage bar stools in for this, not thinking through how it would look when 'modelled'.
i can imagine myself living in this small house, but alone :) I'd need all this space for myself. Very well designed I love the kitchen and the courtyard spaces.
We find it comfortable, but it is definitely a 'firm' style. I can't stand sofas that hug you / swallow you up. Especially in the heat. One side is a bit too deep for just sitting on, but it's great to lounge about on / stretch out.

This is a good small house design, using the ground slope well and thought has gone into what the clients need. I'd want it better insulated + fewer window openings for the climate where I live.
I don't understand the use of OSB. Ugliness aside, more than likely it emits VOCs. Also not a fan of curtains as a means of separating bedroom of all rooms from other parts of the house particularly kitchen. Also, I would like to know the insulation value of the louvered windows.

looks all great. but how does it work when you make french onionsoup, garlicbread, raclette, cheasefondue or a very well cooked gulash or ragout when you can only separate certain areas (especially the bedrooms!) only with cutains? and above all, with the climate the smell would hang for ages in the whole house because of the curtains. i am happy, that my kitchen is a room for it's own whrer i can close the door. is it just me being petty? btw one of my passions is cooking with garlic, onions, spices, cheese etc. but it's a very beautiful house, in a very beutiful environment.
Any concerns about the many sharp corners with a kid? We used to pad corners to avoid injuries to rambunctioius kids.
Absolutely beautiful home. Its been mentioned already but I would need bedrooms with walls for privacy.
O U T S T A N D I N G ! ! * * * * * Thank you
Just perfect!
This is a good small house design, using the ground slope well and thought has gone into what the clients need. I'd want it better insulated + fewer window openings for the climate where I live.
Lovely and open. I do wonder how it will work as the family grows older though
They could probably add a new structure if/when needed.
@@rowaystarco I think she said that the nursery would be a great walk-in closet one day, so an extension is probably in the future.
I don't understand the use of OSB. Ugliness aside, more than likely it emits VOCs. Also not a fan of curtains as a means of separating bedroom of all rooms from other parts of the house particularly kitchen. Also, I would like to know the insulation value of the louvered windows.
Amazing location, lovely home, very well thought out. It’s only in Australian homes that I’ve seen those glass blinds. 😅
Lovely space & design ❤ My only concern is the nosing/trim on the kitchen/sofa steps, looks like an accident waiting to happen with a toddler.!? 😮
