In picking players, I remember what a US Olympic team coach related to me (I was involved in a club they came to see for college recruiting.) "Able to play many positions, but world class in one". I think Jesse is echoing this in talking about players.
I really think leaving Adekugbe out is a big mistake. Marsch is clearly set on Davies always playing that LB spot, but this would have been a great opportunity to at least get a look at something else. I do not feel confident with Davies from a pure defensive consideration and feel like we could still get what we want from him in a wing position.
Every time we've seen him at the highest of levels he's been impressively solid and reliable. His play is no sexy, and so I agree...under rated. At the same time, Marsch is clearly investing in the future with Sigur. It's no unlike Hoilett. Still playing at a high level over in Scotland but simply not a player that Marsch can confidently invest in to see dividends in years to come.
I'd be starting Adekugbe at LB for both of these matches and pushing Davies higher - especially with Millar and Cornelius out. Davies is obviously a special talent, but his defensive awareness and positioning is simply not as good as someone like Adekugbe. It can be argued that Davies' attacking threat is most effective from fullback but I don't think the potential benefits there outweigh the need Canada has to develop the strongest DEFENSIVE back 4 they can possibly field at '26. In this window, I'd sub in Buchanan for Adekugbe at 70' or so and push Davies back at that point.
Osorio didn't look up to the task during his TFC season. He appears to be a bench player at this time. Hopefully he turns it on, and kicks it all up a gear or two, when his pre-season gets started in January. But he is getting older. ⚽
Gonna be a good couple of games! Let’s go boys! 🇨🇦🇨🇦
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿… no debacle plz

Jesse March, pride comes before a fall. Be careful with Suriname. It can become a nightmare for Canada. BE CAREFULL.
You guys said the same in 2021 when Canada smashed you 4-0.
Ya with all do respect we are already looking past you lol
Hope not!!!😮
I love Marsch, but has anyone told him Bosnia play nations league this window? The moment Kulenovic sets foot on the pitch, he's gone forever.

Sam piette is under-rated. He should be on the pitch regularly. He can hang with the world’s best.
Lol that is one incredbily delusional take.
I feel bad for him
I like his character as well but he's simply not athletic enough to play at this level

Really, there??? 🤔🤔
OMG, he does not know Bosnia called Kulenovic up!
Surprised that Adekugbe is on this roster.

Buchanon absoutely needs to get some run in. He won't be getting any for the remainder of this year at Inter
Go Sam!
Why is Luc DeFougerolles left off especially if Cornelious is injured??
He's injured as well

He was solid at Copa.
Bloody is, think it’s time to move past him now, hahaha.
