    I’m 47 and grew a beard for the first time for about 6-7 months it was perfect for the most part all i needed was a little shape up and i made the mistake of going to a barber 👉🏻and now my beard is completely jacked up and i look like Rico Suave 😂 horrible mistake and i will be trimming my beard personally moving forward.
    Don’t just trust someone that’s great at cutting hair a beard is a different deal all together.
    This guy basically cut my entire beard off and made every mistake you just mentioned all in one shot.
    Great videos also 👍

    Trimming to often was my number 1 mistake, had to start all over last april because of that. No more trimming by myself anymore, hehe. Greetings from the Netherlands as well!

      It's all preference bro. If you want a wild, unkempt look then keep it growing. If you're looking for a more groomed look then you will definitely want to have it trimmed by a professional who specializes in beards!

    I love the way your moustache is groomed. And that handlebar is just too awesome to not try! Can you please provide tips on how to groom moustache to grow a handlebar? I'm particularly interested to know how much thickness we have to maintain at the tips and from where the handlebar curve starts(just above the lips and at the end or?) and how it is underneath the handlebar- floating or supported by hair underneath? Hope I asked the questions clearly. Request your tips😀

    I just got the package from your company executive beard butter shampoo and oil. I just tried the beard 🧔 butter and it’s so great I’m happy with it I just need to take a little out next time I took too much and it was all over my hand. So I put it all over my face. Great stuff ! A little goes a long way. I learn that now. 👍🏻👍🏻

    Good video :). Also I just wanna say it's nice for a change to see a fellow beardsman without a hairstyle based on a fade or an undercut. I feel like everyone looks the same nowdays. Your hair has some lenght while still looking well groomed, and it complements your beard. Great look

    oddly enough, the same thing that happened to @SuperFlow66 happened to me as well. lost almost half my beard to this barber here in coolidge az. i was SO upset. but i know that i will have problems doing it myself. after watching spencer take care of his brother's beard i think i'll just make a run into tempe and have him take care of mine as well.

    Thanks for the great video. I’m at 3 and a half weeks growth and planning on going to a Barber soon. I work in retail so need to look presentable. I considered trying to shave my neckline but didn’t want to mess it up. Best to leave it to the professionals I reckon, at least for now.

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  5 років тому +1

      We recommend the 3-4 month growth before seeing a barber, but if you are not comfortable enough to trim your own neck and cheek line, definitely see a pro. Don't let them take any length off though. You will want to let it grow to get your full growth pattern and potential!

    • @jesseallen4184

      Live Bearded wish I could wait longer but unfortunately it’s not an option. Thanks for the help, I’ll definitely make sure they don’t take any off 🙂

    I agree with the jawline trim 100%, but i also know that some guys dont grow hair in the neck/underchin area. My brother has to do that and it doesn't look too bad especially since hes a skinny dude. I, on the other hand, am chunky and am lucky to be able to grow a nice full beard.

    • @livebearded

    Your butter is like a balm or it is soft? I want to know if it gives the sufficient hold

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  6 років тому +1

      Hey Brother!! our beard butter is softer and not as heavy as a traditional balm!

  • @ClintScottFischer

    The neckline thing is commonly told, but what I dont find, is anyone talking about the evolutionary process of growing from the beginning. Assuming you are not the guy who doesn't care and will grow everything without trimming at all, I think once you've established the lower neckline, a trim of only the under beard needs to happen from time to time until the facial hair is long enough to cover the underside. A lot of guys ( myself included) give up the growing early, cause the neck beard in early stages without grooming looks bloody stupid!!

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  6 років тому

      The neckline can be a game stopper if its not properly looked after. But you can always find that happy spot!

    SCUBA at beardtube says don’t apply product before trimming...?

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  5 років тому +1

      We 100% love his channel and respect anything he says, but for us, using product before you trim is a better fit. We say this because we use product every single day, and if you want to know what your beard will look like groomed, then trim it while groomed. This especially rings true for those brothers who blow dry to straighten their beards! Thanks for stopping by brother!
