This is an Oathbreaker format deck. Commander is Tibalt, Signature Spell Jeska's Will. Both are played from the command zone. This combo is very easily disrupted, but its fun to see just how big the numbers can get. If the combo fails it turns into a goblin aggro deck. Decklist is in video description.
I will never know why this vid got into my recommended, even though I do play mtg but never watched it, I praise youtube recommendation for showing me this video :)
@@kmak4239 The algorithms have blessed us.
As a Novice at EDH, how do you use a planeswalker as a commander? i was under the impression that only planeswalkers with text saying they can be your commander like 'Teferi, Temporal Archmage' could be commanders?
@@wibble_yokai4705 he's playing a different format called oathbreaker where planeswalkers are the commanders along with a signature spell and its a 60 card deck as opposed to a 100
@@SleepyBox2D oooh!!! I've never heard of this format
I lost it at the bag of tokens 🤣🤣🤣
just imagine casually whipping them out at a game table!
Friends at the table ready to play.
*Gatewatcher enters the room with 2 bags of token goblins.*
Friends concede.
This is art in its purest form. Im just sad I wasn't recommended this sooner.
I'm still pretty new to the youtube scene. Eventually I'll get up there with more widespread recommendations :)
The ending really made it. *Chef's kiss*
@@gatewatcher857 I'm a bit new, sorry, but how did you have a spell set to the side next to a non commander planes walker?
@@jakesmith9988 This is the format Oathbreaker. You essentially have a Planeswalker as your commander, along with a "signature spell" that also sits in the command zone and returns there when cast, albeit with the +2 colorless mana commander tax.
"+1 to draw from an empty deck and lose"
Completely optimal, the choice I'd make every time.
It actually is. If your opponent doesn't concede by the time you do it, they honestly deserve the win for their patience.
I would do that also just to be a troll.
Honestly though. Imagine someone actually brought this to a Friday night magic. Pulled the full blaring combo off, with full ref agreement, just to draw out, concede and never be seen again.
@@vinzo0913 yes. that person would be remembered in campfire tales for months at least.
It's like that ProZD skit with the dairy farmer deck.
Don't mind me, just making cheese
Well... I’ll be going to the store. Do you want anything?
@@rogertruong5751 dad no!
We're mooing infinite baby
I still think they should take "black brie" off the reserve list.
I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it, but "In the Hall of the Mountain King" is literally the most perfect song for any mono-red deck.
Blue Danube for mono blue?
Imagine walking to a tournament with boxes of copy tokens, mountains, and goblins.
Guy walks up with a stack of goblin and copy tokens, I'm probably going to go get shave ice while he counts triggers.
I'm a Yu-Gi-Oh player and understand nothing of Magic but I liked the part where he played a lot of goblins
So basically imagine it as he clockdragon ftk’d you
I lost it at 1:39 because Krenko basically doubles your goblins
"In response, I cast redirect. Targeting you instead of me"
Yeah or wild richochet
Now we both lose
Sphere of resistance turn 1.
Red elemental blast targeting redirect
Tap 2 blue, counterspell the beginning of the horrid chain of pain.
I like the fact that Tibalt isn't really important or what for this combo. The only reason of including him is because he's the only 2 mana mono-red walker out there to be on the field before Jeska's Will arrives...that's it. Tibalt is summoned just to idly watch the whole thing going on its way 😂
No, the final step requires him. The only possible play.
@@dova6207 Tibalt into deckout is a true combo
@@slayinderp7501 lol you right!
@@dova6207 Yes that's the most crucial move 😂
He just watches the game burning and laughs.
Oathbreaker just got officially recognized by WotC.
My brain immediately went to this video, over 2 years later.
Congrats on traumatizing my brain with these shenanigans.
and that's why Magic the gathering is the best card game ever
*worst
@@KingMalaxis no one cares what you think ismaal.
I definitely don't think its the worst. still think the bleach card game holds that title. love bleach but its bad. but I do agree with ismael that these kinda combis suck. I hate everyone trying to rush a turn 1 2 or 3 win. I like the build up. I like the set up. I love the counterstrstegies and in your face plays. you lose that in the hyper competitive play. its just who can play their combo fastest. to me thats dull. and not worth me taking a few minutes to shuffle and set up my deck and hand just to have to again 4 minutes later. .. bleh
@@thewurstone2996 agreed
@@thewurstone2996 it's interesting that you say that, for me, and I imagine a large number of other people, the way mtg encourages players to play good, quick games, is the reason that we play mtg. there's also the group that really like to just break the balance of games (i'm guilty there). on the other hand there are a lot of people that like slow, drawn out games, like you do. yes, to me 5 minute games are slow. If I had to suggest something it would be, don't look at what everyone else does and focus on your own cards, whatever variety they may be. doing so is respectable, that stops completely though when you criticize others and the way they play the game.....there is, however, an exception. infinite turn combos. if someone executes an infinite turn combo and you are still sitting there... get up, pack up your cards, and leave, come back in an hour and they will likely still be combo'ing.
I love how this could be good, but not because tibalt is good, but because he is mono red and 2 mana
surely the 0 mana goblin would be even better
So he's good
@@thomashall1236 Oathbreaker Commanders have to be planeswalkers.
@@silvervirage2491 Ah thanks I didn't know I thought it was just like commander. I haven't had much exposure to this format
Imagine swapping the lands out and changing tibalt to wrenn and six. Surprise monored storm with a gruul commander.
I'd like to see someone go for like an hour calculating the damage and just when his opponent is about to flip out they just say "and I draw one card." And throw the match.
Imagine how confused that guy would be.
My local card shop we had a contest to do somthing like this, you had to do the most damage possible without using infinite combinations, pvp. There were so many trolls that had, target player draws a card, prevent all combat dmage, hexproof, it was quite interesting to see all the combinations people could come up with. I think the most troll worthy deck was someone using rule of law, and still manage to hit his opponentet with 40,000 damge in one turn.
As someone who hasn't played magic since college over 5 years ago, this two minute video took me 10 minutes to watch. Good job!
"Gather your strength, prepare yourself."
-Jeska's Will
casting insult to injury before killing your opponents made me laugh out loud for real lol
That.... that was just beautiful.... I must make this deck even if it takes me years to get this combo off.
Every deck I've built off a gimmicky combo goes off exactly once and then literally never works for me again 😅
*throws Goblin tokens all over the place*
I lost my mind.
*The boxes of tokens drop*
I died laughing.
This is true glory, kudos. XD
Look at the new Kasmina. You can actually use Tibalt’s plus
Tibalt: “Have you ever experienced a sun crashing into your face? WOULD YOU LIKE TO?!”
The ending is by far the best part of this deck 🔥❤️🔥
Man, I love this. It reminds me of my commander deck, actually.
So I guess if you want to hear this story, hit read more or something.
Kess, Dissident Mage is the commander (purely for value, cedh is for Dopamine addicts who's dad bought them a Lambo at 14)
Anyway, you have Thousand-Year Storm out. Get some storm, cast some cantrips, control some "pests." Cast Brass's Bounty. Storm = ...5? Assume you have 10 lands and some Mana rocks, and you get 50 treasures. Proceed to continue casting spells until you hit 8 or so Mana left. Overload Mizzix's Mastery at Storm = 15. Cast your graveyard with say... 17 spells in it? Play Brass's Bounty last on the stack, so you get 32 copies. 320 treasures. Go ahead and play Insult // Injury. Happens 33 times. Damage multiplier 33^2. With the remaining 317 Mana, cast Banefire, X = 316. Copy it 34 times. 316 * 34 * 33^2 = 11,700,216 damage. Divided amongst 3 enemies. You know, because they're copies and you can choose new targets for them.
If any of you want a video of me playing this monstrosity, let me know. The magical Christmas land described here is more consistent than explosions in a Michael Bay movie.
I was so confused until I realized it's a whole new to me format lol
This is when your deck is literally perfectly stacking for comboing lol
if i'm getting this right, what you're trying to do is on your first cast of Jeska's Will, get 6 mana and ways to copy rituals into copying Bonus Round several times so that all of your rituals get copied a bunch of times and you can keep casting Jeska's Will from the command zone to see the entire deck and get as much mana as you want for jaya's immolating inferno to finish it out after using insult//injury to prevent preventing damage?
how have i not seen this sooner this is amazing
I just realized that this can unironically work for a mono red deck with Jeska and Rograk as the commanders.
The Bag of Goblins was MINT! bahahahahahahahaha great fkn Vid.
Watch me break an already broken format. *claps*
You have 2 cards you want already in your “hand” before the game even starts. Broken combos are bound to happen

In Oathbreaker, you have both a planeswalker commander and signature spell in the command zone that you have access to. Basically 2 free cards.
@@acefoster629 ... holy shit
My group put together Oathbreaker decks from our existing cards and it took about two nights to lose interest, it was so obviously busted by the signature spell that hodgepodge decks were oppressive.
"Magical Christmas Land"? What's that? Never heard of it... 😂😂
I was just sent this video. Gotta say, the quality is really good!
I was wondering why there was a goblin counter and now I’m scared
I love that there’s no limit to stuff in this game
I'm going to need the decklist so I can build this and play it with my friends for shenanigans.

@@KrowTCG way harder though as you don't have jeska's will or tibalt in the command zone
When they say that magic is a balanced game
I mean the problem is oathbreaker isn't a balanced format.
Anybody can have an infinite mana combo come out from their signature spell card since you can litterally play that card endlessly.
The freaking cardboard boxes had me rolling laughing
All I can imagine right now is someone walking into a tournament with two enormous bags of goblin tokens and no explanation for why he has them.
This video by itself sold me on the format, that was AWESOME
Wtf why you've got not even 1k views?? This man needs to get honored by a nobleprice
Lmao imagine bringing a bag filled with goblin tokens and you pouring all of it in the table
Funniest video about MTG I saw in a long time. Take my sub
Only card game i actually play is yugioh but this is beautiful and reminds me of the time i got something like 142,000 attack on a kuriboh just to add insult on top of a clapping of a game
I know this is a joke deck but I want to build it it looks fun and hilarious if it goes of
Some how oathbreaker is having a resurgence in our playgroup and this was recommended to me what a day! 😁
...I end the phase and go to combat? No wait I messed it up
gotta +1 that Tibalt in shame next main phase if that happens
This is my favorite comment on here no doubt
I lost it when you picked up a box of goblin tokens, and slammed it onto the table, then activated krenk, and slammed a second one onto the table as well
I was tryna figure out why it was tibalt cuz I forgot about the “if you control your commander” clause 😬 this is wacky lol
gotta get a box of goblin tokens for myself
Make sure they're free range to keep it ethical! scryfall.com/card/ust/77/box-of-free-range-goblins
Geez!!! And here I thought the combo in my Elf deck for Infinite mana was awesome (kinda clunky, found it by random chance)
Gaea's Cradle (assuming more than 4 elves in play (on the safe side) )
Argothian Elder
Non basic land with the 1c1g: untap target Elf
And wirewood channeler or skyshroud Elf for the one red mana.
= infinite green mana and one red mana..... fireball

I love how you actually have the all the cards
This was a blast to watch!
😅🤣😂
Combo fun, execution of video upgrades to mega fun
The most hilarious meme imaginable
Ok but like, I have all of those goblins you've played and I have a deck built for goblins, but I had no idea they were THAT deadly, I'm gonna take this idea and try it out
That music was just 👌
It's hilarious to me how half the comments are people who don't know what Oathbreaker is
1:18 *Yeet in the tokens* lol
This is why Oathbreaker is a format I myself will never be in
A guarnteed spell is kind of rediculous and there are so many infinite mana combos that exist that it just kind of makes these decks win from like turn 3 to 6 on a very consistent level
The best part about Oathbreaker is you don't have an opponent so you can stack your deck however you want.
Great idea but you need more information in certain areas. Like that this is a commander deck. Super neat though
Oathbringer actually. Any planeswalker and a instant or sorcery in that planeswalkers colour identity as their signature spell
From a 40$ deck,
PURE
ART
(or MADNESS, you choose).
I do love me some absurdly high numbers achieved outside infinite loops.
i remember seeing another video with the Goblin multiplyer and it was a Crazy amount of damage, He did it on Arena...and i thought that was unbeatable...but this is insane lol
I built a turn two 22 damage speed deck a few years back, got it banned at local store because it had a 1/7 chance of going off turn 1 with mulligans it went to 3/7 and then with the chage to partial mulligans, it was a 4/7 chance. If it didnt go turn one it was guaranteed to go turn two, worst case scenario of turn 3 if they gained more than 2 life.
Cute combo👌 call me when the ti-92 gives up
> Reads title. <
Oh yeah you can do that with red mana in mtg on turn 3.
> Sees tibalt. <
FUCKING EXCUSE YOU?!
So out of curiosity could I get a deck list?

Unluckily, as you can see by outputs, i'm not able to get the correct number due to machine limitations. With some workaround i might be able to get to than number, but i need more than a 30min investiment in an algorithm with such a high number.
@@yuriemmettippi4503 The closest to getting a handle on that final number I ever got was to calculate that a number increases in digits approximately every 3 times you double it, and using that to calculate how many digits long the final number would be, which I think was something like 1 billion digits long.
@@Calintares I don't know if i want to calculate it anymore
I don't see it.
How is Jeska's Will being recast?
It's the signature spell for oathkeeper
Garbage format letting people have spells on a stick that they start the game with in command zone.
As your opponent I will order a Pizza in the meantime xD
Yeah, constant access to a spell is OP as hell.
What game type has constant access to a spell?
@@jakesmith9988 Oathbreaker. Like commander, but not. 60 cards, 20 life, still singleton. Your commander is a planeswalker instead of a legendary creature, and you can then pick any instant or sorcery in your deck to be the command zone as well, as their "signature spell" with it's own commander tax.
What would be the latest moment that a counterspell would still disrupt the insta- win?
This versus my Nissa World Breaker deck, that can play the entire deck at turn 3, I wonder who'd win?
Love the end card. Do you win the game, or keep your friend? Will taking that loss keep your friend? These are important questions
If this is commander, only one card of each name is available. He's playing that second card without a card that retrieves it from the grave. Sad I thought this was actually a true turn 3 win. It was entertaining to watch though
Edit: didn't realize it was a different format whoops
It’s Oathbreaker, where isnstead of a commander you have a planeswalker and a instant or sorcery that use your command zone, the planeswalker being a commander rules wise (that’s why both modes are used in jeska’s will) and you may recur both by paying the commander tax. This is a true combo in Oathbreaker, as stated in the title
I was blown away watching this thinking that he was setting things aside to show the exact combo route or something. I didn't know this was actually a playable format, of commander. Thank you for telling me, now I got a new way of playing other than plain chase.
Playing Oathbreaker with Planeschase cards makes for a great game experience as well!
Shock tibalt in response to you casting jeskas will
I watched this right after Remy's Wake me up before you combo
2 words. fiery emancipation
It's an enchantment so wouldn't be multiplied out unlike insult, not sure why they didn't cast 3 insults for around 1e34 damage though
Its a good thing this isn't in arena cause this shit would be the only deck people would play
My life gain deck will enjoy this
You are all saying how this can be countered by one spell but how many people actually have enough mana to cast a spell with only 2 mana drops which are more likely already spent on mana ramp artifacts or search cards
Wait people still play Oath Breaker?! lol
edit: Seriously though, amazing video!!! 😂
It’s my favorite format, and it’s what my friends and I play most. They’re still into Commander as well but I don’t like how expensive Commander gets to make new decks, and how much slower of a pace the game is, especially if you’re playing multiplayer Commander. We do normal 60 card modern as well.
@@Grand_Admiral_Thrawn2630 Honestly, I wish people at my lgs played it. I started building a deck a while ago but then it died out before I could even finish putting the deck together.
@@GumballMachinery that’s a real shame man. I’ve got like 6 of them together now lol.
On priority I pay two blue mana to morph willbender, changing the target of a single spell with the target of my choice. You.
Literally any negate, counter, or just a generally "NOPE" cast of any kind and you just instantly lose
Yeah, but by turn 3? There's probably as many chances of it happening as there are not happening.
Just want to point out bonus round into reverberate is infinite spells already
I love plays like this but you have to get that perfect 1 in a million initial draw and turn 2 and 3 draw for it to work.
So... What's the odd of pulling the right cards for this combo to work?
I’m sort of confused. What format would this be? Jeska’s Will doesn’t go to graveyard? Tibalt is doing what exactly? If this is commander, what would the commander be? Tibalt has no legendary status or text stating they can be a commander.
It's the Oathbreaker format. Similar to commander, except you pick a planeswalker as your commander, and a signature spell (Jeska's Will) that is in the command zone with them and follows the same basic rules of commander tax.
@@bannor9870 thank you! I’ve never heard of that format before. I’ll look more into it

Magical Xmas land turn.
Enough effect damage to kill that youtuber's Hypercancer 5 deck.
that escalated quickly ...
What is allowing for the recasting of the "Jeska's Will"? The person seems to grab it from the side and say they are casting it extra times with nothing indicating that it can be played again.
In oathbreaker your commander has a signature spell you can cast from the command zone anytime your commander is on the battlefield for +2 mana each cast
@@raxifire Thank you for the reply. Thought this was regular commander and did not know of this format. Seems interesting and will look into more.
