if i understand this correctly this looks like a new version of the old international gas/diesel engines. they had a third valve in the cylinder head to lower the compression to run off gas
although i agree with you. i have sailed on 2 merchant vessels with cummins engines for auxillaries. (sister ships) not the easiest things to work on and they even confused the Cummins engineers when they came to inspect them (for warentee)
Actually Yes! The very first jet engines were developed by the Nazi's during WWII. NASA and all of its rocketry development was started by the German scientists who were granted asylum after their surrender. Look, today's airplanes are amazing. I live about 30 miles from Boeing, but were talking about piston engines with a very different way of developing and transferring energy. Thanks for the comment!
cat had about as much to do with this design as grapes have to do with beer. they bought MaK because the germans metalergy is light years beyond anything being casted in the US. not taking away from cummins but ive never saw one in any commercail merchant ship.
The very first jet engines were developed by the British and modern jet engines being built by GE have as much to do with either British or German WWII-era jets as grapes have to do with beer. German metallurgy better? Piffle. It's good, but the biggest advancements in metallurgy are being made in the US, still. The *real* reason Cat bought MaK is because they wanted it's large marine/industrial engines business and they got MaK at what amounted to a firesale.
this makes as much sense as spark plugs in the exhaust cat fire you engineers and hire some one who knows some shit ffs no wonder Cummins took you on in 07 and won get a clue boys or you shall be left in the dust

hallo,
darf ich dieses video verwenden für eines meine videos? nur teilweise ausschnitte mit erwähnung der quelle?
The changes to MaK’s preexisting engines are only for dual fuel capabilities… this suggests that Caterpillar patents are being applied?

More videos please.
What kind of GAS? A mix of Methane, Ethane, Propane, etc., or HHO gas (H2 + O2)...¿?
