Born and raised in Tellico. Fished these holes all my life. I just took one of my sons this Saturday. Caught our limit by 7:30 am. Whole kernel corn gets em every time. Those 14 trout are in the freezer. Nothing like rainbow filets. Yum! I really enjoy your videos. Keep it up!

wow... beautiful.. now this is what I am more used to fishing in... OH! I see.. that friend of yours was using cookies as bait to get you outta bed so early!!! Now we know the secret!! I have spent some time out of the states and I had a friend from Nicaragua come and visit me up here (in Oregon back in the late 70's) once.. I took him fishing and to a hatchery and he couldn't understand why we could not fish there.. and when I told him we let these fish go and caught them later in rivers and ponds.. Well that only confused him more.. He had never heard of such foolishness in his life..Great spot.. you just need to change tactics a bit for trout.. thanks for the share and thank your friend too.. carry on and get a nap in..

Hey...was just right there at the falls three weeks ago. Next time go over to close by Citico creek. Love to see you travel and fish all our beautiful east Tennessee, SE Kentucky,SW Virginia and west North Carolina, and North Georgia mountain rivers. Now that you are a full timer you have a lifetime of fishing opportunities within a 5 hour drive to explore.

Watching those fish feed reminded me of something. there is a very deep pond about 15 miles from my home on private property feed and drained into Captina Creek that runs from Barnesville Ohio to the Ohio river. It's fortunately a very well preserved creek with a couple of coal mines on it so it's been a struggle to keep it clean. My buddy worked at the pond called Shawn lake and it's stocked with trout. His job was to cut the grass, keep the grounds up and feed the fish. the trout were feed daily with 50 lb bags of dog food. a lot of people pay to fish there. NFL players, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. frequent it. you can't fish there unless you paid for your permit to enter and enjoy. i personally have never fished the lake nor caught a trout from the creek. A lot of small mouth and rock bass though. It's full of wild life. If you ever get to Ohio you need to fish Capatina first and then if you can onto some property on Sunfish Creek in Clarington about 10 miles further south that is fishing heaven if you go a few miles up the creek. Most of the creek runs through private property. I had a friend who owned some land there and went on weekends. I could catch 5 lb channel cat all day on salad shrimp at noon on a sunny day all day long in a creek not more than 20 foot wide and barely a spot of water over your head.

John! Dude!! I was thinking while you were showing the fish hatchery and you said "no wonder why I can catch a fish, they're all right here..."...I was thinking that all you needed right then and there would be a lawn chair, a 1-liter Mountain Dew, about FIVE Taco's from pollo loco and a brand new package of Hellgrammites…..and you would have the fishing trip of a life time!! LOLL!!!!!

Glad you made ro that place to fish. Just a little tip that I practice when releasing trout, try not to handle them, I know "they" say you can wet your hands completely before picking them up but I have seen more times than not that the trout will die shortly after handling. So I practice this method, when the fish is by shore or boat I lift just head out of the water and use forceps to remove the hook without touching the fish. I understand for you tube you want to show the folks the fish. Second practice is if I touch a legal fish I keep it. If it's not a legal fish I do not touch it. Love your videos. Keep on pluggin
