How to adjust Howdens Kitchen wall unit.
In this video I will remove the Howdens kitchen wall cabinet from the wall, show you how the Howdens kitchen wall cabinet adjustment unit works, then I will show you how to hang the kitchen wall unit \ cabinet and then adjust the Howdens kitchen wall cabinet so it is level and tight up against the wall (hope your wall is straight!).

Awesome. Needed to move two cupboards 2mm futher apart to accommodate a new glass spashback. Thought I'd have to re hang them but they use these brackets so took me a couple of minutes to loosen up and shimmy a little. Thanks.

@@LurgsHowToGuides Can I reuse the brackets on new wall cabinets? Can they be detached without damaging them?
@@giovannifiorentino8947 ones I had you can flip off the side cover and unscrew it from the cabinet so yes you should be able to re-use them.
Thanks so much we are redoing our whole kitchen and the previous owner of the house has all cabinets all over the place and not joined looks odd so can put them all together now and free up space for floating shelves thanks 👍

Proper job! I'm 71 and will be installing a 1000mm Howdens wall cabinet.
Any idea what the two little rods in the fitting kit are for Lurgs?
I'll be using a Hafele rail to hang it on my stud wall - timber frame new build :(
I've bought a Franklin stud finder plus some Bullfix plasterboard fixings (belt & braces)
Not sure as I’ve never fitted one, only removed or adjusted one. Make sure you try and get a fixing screen into the wooden stud as this will be much stronger than straight into plasterboard. Good luck, hope it all goes ok
Hi mate the adjustable clip that comes out the back of the unit has come loose and I can’t get it to go back in think I loosened it too much do you know how to get it back in ?

No, it it's only a threaded bolt so it should go back on if you keep turning it and can line it up. If you can it would be best to remove the cabinet off the wall so you can see the back of it and get it back on. Good luck.

I think you can as Ive seen the brackets for sale on a well known auction site. Not sure how you get the bracket off but I’m sure a Google search you would be able to find out. Hope you get it sorted. 😎

do you set the hangers 66cm at widest, so they fir in just before the frame of cabinet !!??
Not sure I’m afraid. As long as the clips sit somewhere in the middle of the brackets.

Yes you should be able to get a replacement. I've seen them on a well known auction site.

The hook on one of my adjustable bracket has came loose. Would you know how to get this back on ?
Afraid not, if the whole thing is broken I guess you could buy a new bracket unit maybe. Maybe take a video of it and ask Howdens.
how do the units fit inside the cabinets. ie how would I install one in a new cabinet without one already fitted
Not sure, maybe that are glued and then the weight of the cabinet keeps them in place. Best ask someone at Howdens, good luck
Can i ask what fixings you would recommend if fixing wall units to insulated plasterboard ie Celotex or similar
Granty I think you will need plasterboard rawl plug fixings. Unit might be too heavy to hang directly on plasterboard so you may need longer fixings which reach concrete? Or if it’s a timber stud wall try to locate the timbers and fix into those.
How do you remove the plastic blocks please?
I think they are screwed in as you can buy replacements. But you’d need to get side off somehow

Oh dear sorry to hear that. You may have to buy a replacement bracket but that would mean removing the unit from the wall.
If it's just the plastic surround that's cracked then hopefully the bracket is still functional.
Dose not show how to hang the brackets on the wall
Just make sure they are level with each other, use a laser guide or draw with a pencil across the wall. Depends what type of wall it is, if it's brickwork use rawl plugs. If it's plasterboard use plasterboard fixings such as Grip It.
