@@Temptation_Offroad that's what has me wondering, I have a 2004 and 2500 and thought about getting a 3" lift and it looks good on Google but then I seen the 8" on Google and it looks way taller, then seeing tour truck it looked shorter.
What's the point of an 8" lift? I have 35" x 12.5's on mine with a 4" lift in back and 2" lift in front and nothing rubs and I've been through deeper terrain than that with water over the hood. Besides the ridiculous height looks ugly unless your going to explore 40 plus inch tires don't waste your money.
+Ty P Now that my 392 bored 400 is done and installed I need to find a decent rear drop bumper. Had a warning already and even though law allows 6 up and 6 down from stock it all depends where they measure from. I'm at that grey line. I was thinking about buying two rear bumpers and having the second laser cut to mate underneath upper and weld and paint black to match. I don't really want anything there but have to figure something out. Going to pick truck up later today so I'm fairly excited. I also added fender flares because that was other warning my tires were right at the 2" allowance outward.
@@jacobsebastien3910 i'm not sure what this one was. It was a friends truck. I have 4.56 gears on my Black Dodge with 35's and its about perfect for those size tires.
RazorFX yes it's runs bigger tires and therefore goes thru deeper mud and rolls over bigger obstacles. the Grand Cherokee is more compact and nimble though so possibly there are a few places it could for where the dodge can't.
Drove my 2500 Hemi ram through soupy mud and a 4' deep hole and never got stuck. Only 2" front and 4" rear lift with 35's. Now I don't know about a 1500 but I walked right through that slick muck.
Nice truck man!! Can't beat rough country!! I've got a 6" lift on my 07 ram
That hemi is the sound you wanna hear when there's a big fn thunderstorm and shit needs to be done LOL
Awesome 👍 👍 2005 Dodge Ram Hemi off-road review .
Any problems out of it & what did you do for shocks, steering extension, brake line extensions? Or did that come with the lift?
I got a 4 inch lift. Do you ur tires are too big
You still got it
Nope, this was my friends truck. He traded it off about 1 year after this video. He still owns a newer Dodge Ram though!
Nice vid I have the 5" rough country kit on my ram as well body lift with suspenion
Is the body lift also rough country
Where was the truck with the 8" lift? The silver one didn't look like more than 5"
Looks can be decieving. It was a full 8" total lift. It doesnt look as big on video as it was in person.

I was thinking that to, mine has a 4.5 with 37x12.5s no issues at all

Braiden Palmer, you fit 35” on with a 2 inch leveling kit?
Dam must be nice having dodges my F-150 needs an 8inch left with if I remember correctly 4-inch body lift to clear 35s.
Yea, was just a test with her, 3:55 gears/open end diff
* didn't know you could add body over the lift?
How much did you extend the driveshaft?
i want see what look like 35s and 8 lifed 2004 dodge ram 1500
Dennis Tyler me to
nice lift and tires but what about some gears..... none of that means anything without the right gears
doesn't mean a single freaking thing NOT A THING you sir are GOD
What brand body kit

@@chiefbeef2947 Thanks, this was my friends truck. Its was a lot taller in person than it looks on the video. Nice truck too.
@@Temptation_Offroad WHAT GEAR RATIO?
@@jacobsebastien3910 i'm not sure what this one was. It was a friends truck. I have 4.56 gears on my Black Dodge with 35's and its about perfect for those size tires.
What gear ratio you have?
Ram #1
Which lift did you go with? I'm looking to put an 8" suspension lift on mine
5 inch rough country suspension, 3 rough country body lift, rough country torsion keys
DONT GET A BODY LIFT!!your cab will get knocked out of alignment all the time! Just go full suspintion lift
Dont you have to if you get bigger wheels?
I hope you didn't sell the 2nd gen
Yeah what's with all the exhaust?
Is the ram as capable off road as a jeep grand cherokee wk 5.7 ?
RazorFX yes it's runs bigger tires and therefore goes thru deeper mud and rolls over bigger obstacles. the Grand Cherokee is more compact and nimble though so possibly there are a few places it could for where the dodge can't.
will those tires rub without a lift on those stock wheels?
lomira123 yes with out at least a 2.5 inch lift those tires will definitely rub
Just get a leveling kit and i have 35's that only rub on uneven sharp turns, if smooth, no scrub at all
where did u find an 8" lift or is it suspension and body
Jonnie Abner it was my friends truck and yeah i believe it was a combination of body and suspension lift.
Oh okay cool thank you
Zone makes a 8” suspension lift
What lift kit do you have on it ?
5" Rough country and 3" body lift. It was my buddys truck
@@Temptation_Offroad how hard was it to do the body lift ?
@@Khaotic_dreams No idea, i've never done one.
@@Temptation_Offroad would you mind asking him I want to do a 10” lift
@@Khaotic_dreams He bought the truck with the lift kit in it already. He did not install it. I would UA-cam how to install a body lift.
How many cv axels have you broke?
RamCrazy92 None, the owner of this truck sold it about one year after the video was taken.
@@Temptation_Offroad smart man rofl
