Sometimes my frother won't froth the milk...instead all the steam comes out of the top where the beans are stored. all other functions seem to work. I unplug the unit and then plug power cord in again and that sometimes fixes it, but just for 1 or 2 latte's.

OK, I got it nicely cleaned but my problem returned nonetheless. Maybe you have an idea of what's wrong? all functions work, except when I make a latte, the steam doesn't run thru the milk container (to froth it).... instead I see steam rising up from where you would pour pre-ground coffee. it seems like the yellow 'axle' (inside the machine) that turns the yellow sprocket on the brew unit doesn't actually turn the sprocket, and therefore won't raise that 'cup' on the brew unit to go up and match with that 'spout' that is inside the machine. make sense? I get a lot of water in the bottom so I think steam/water isn't going into the brew unit. no error codes. it makes hot water, espresso, etc... just fine.
Hello! Perhaps the brewing device is not to blame here. Steam goes to the brewing device because the valve responsible for steam does not open. It may be stuck and not opening due to the fact that a lot of calcium has accumulated on the valve parts. I recommend that you clean up calcium with a good and effective remedy for calcium!

Hi! I have a Philips Saeco Intelia, and after a succesful brew, the coffee puck that comes out is soggy and fluidy, like when you just put coffee grind in a cup of water. I cleaned the machine throughout with much care (I even disassembled the whole machine, including the brewing unit), regreased every part that needed, checked (and changed some of them that needed) the rubber sealings, tried different gring hardness with different "strength" (grind amount) settings, but it just comes out like a coffe grounded water into the grind holding "bucket" (it flows out to be more precise). I even watched it with opened door (I rigged the sensor), and it just flows out after the brew, and it's not solid. I have another Intelia that has the same settings and it throws out really solid pucks. What could be the problem?

I've already did that. The maciine is old now (but in good shape). Is it possible that the brewing unit's "piston" has been so used that it shaved the plastic wall and the water escapes through the bore, not through the "piston's" small holes? I'm asking this because maybe it is just my eyes, but the hole is a littlebit oval (really, the psiton is just a tiny bit wobbly front-back, but not left-right), not a cirlce on the brewing unit... or is it like this normally?

At this point, you can visually see where the water is flowing from. Anything can happen! It’s hard for me to say anything without having a coffee machine in front of me.

On my machine, only one of those lugs is in place, so whatever that "flap" mechanism is called, it's clearly not aligned properly and I'm thinking this is where it's coming from. I'm no expert though... do you see that flap thing not aligned properly in your machine?

Hello! Try turning on the coffee machine, close all lids, no brewer. The coffee machine needs to do a selftest. Then open the lid, press the push button in the brewer and install it in the coffee machine. Before installing, make sure that the two triangles in the brewer match up. Read the manufacturer's instructions.
