Justin Nozuka's inspiration for the video concept for his song Heartless was the film 'The Lovely Bones', as is evident in the lush and rich imagery. The idea was to illustrate the isolation that people feel; like they're all just existing alone within their own worlds. But even with this isolation, there is always hope for something better. Sometimes all it takes is to cross a bridge and see what's on the other side.
The video was shot by Teqtonik, a duo of live action/animation directors who's mantra is to push the creative envelop to the edge and sometimes over. During the last six years they have developed their own unique style and approach to music videos and commercials. The team has garnered many awards and nominations including the young guns award from the Art Directors Club of New York. Together these two continue to stand out from the rest by combining both traditional and digital techniques with there frenetic creativity and imagination. Heartless is the third video that Justin and Teqtonik have collaborated on.
The video was shot on location at Tiffany Falls in Hamilton, Canada
I was born in Quebec but lived in Vancouver all my life. On the last day of my visit of my hometown Quebec, Quebec, I heard this song for the first time on the car radio while heading back to my uncle's. Needless to say, this song holds a special place in my heart after giving me the smoothest flight home I've ever experienced.

I saw him like, one year & half ago in France & while he was singing, we were all in another world. He was smiling at us, sharing so much things, he left us all speechless, with stars in our eyes. For one hour, he was at one meter right in front of me.. Fantastic show!
Wow, that sounds amazing. Justin's voice especially in this song is so smooth, I could imagine that him singing at a tropical island on a romantic vacation must be perfect.

The concept of this video from the heart shaped little islands of souls to the scenery, coupled with the lyrics and the voice has to be one of the best pieces of work I have seen.

i saw him last night at an intimate little show at the MACC theatre on maui. and boy let me tell you there were at least 5 times that i teared up a bit because his soul, voice, and music is so amazing. he puts his heart and soul in each song and that is what a true artist should do. i got to meet him afterwards it was AWESOME!

Justin is truly one of my favorite artist. It is unfortunate that he is not famously known by others. Sometimes people cannot see or hear great music from a great artist. And no doubt that he is one. It is all about timely I suppose. Hopefully one day he will come to San Diego to perform. That would be a wish come true.
