THANK YOU

      Glad you got it going sir! Don't lose sleep over things like that, just reach out and ask for some help. The community here (YT) is so large, someone is bound to have experienced what you're going through. Take care and don't forget to run your generator every once in awhile, just so you know its working.

      Thanks sir. Laughter is almost as important as being able to fix chit. No, its actually more important!

    You might want to check the spark arrestor, running rich as it was, it's probably plugged as well, nice job!

      I peaked at it afterwards and its all good. You are correct though, I didn't think to add that to the checklist. Thanks for bringing it up sir!

      I returned it. God strongly suggested that I do so.

      Open the back panel up, pull the airbox off the carb, and look to the left side where the ineverter electronics are. Make sure everything is hooked up. Physically touch all of your connections to make sure they are seated. Then report back to me.

    The choke should be closed position once it's warm. Leaving it open for it to run means there is a problem. You didn't put it in economy mode to see if it ran ok?

    • @OmegaReady
      @OmegaReady  Місяць тому +1

      Not sure I'm following you sir. Choke should be opened up once its warm enough to handle it. In theory, it will run with the choke on once warm, but not very well. It certainly wont be able to make the power necessary to put out the 1700 Watts.
      I didn't really mess with economy mode until much later. I think I may do a short video on it just to show the differences. Any suggestions on what you would be interested in seeing?

      @@OmegaReady it's ok. The carburetors on these generators are trash. I put mine away. I rather by a Honda because the parts are more available

      @@jasongeo2 I see your point. Its often a trade off between upfront cost vs long term viability / fixability. My life does not depend on my 2kW inverter gen working, thankfully.

      @@OmegaReady be nice if there was a fuel injection generator

    That elbow breather hose slips into it's own hole in the larger breather pipe coming from the air box. That "rubber" is some cheap hybrid.. sort of rubber, sort of plastic...it cracks easily...you noticed yours slightly cracked. It will get worse. That had a large crack in mine, creating an air/vaccuum leak that prevented mine from starting. I just fired up a hot glue gun and globbed all over that cracked rubber, let it harden, and my generator fired right up...running fine ever since.
    I was disappointed you only had to go as deep as you did, I watched the whole video hoping to see how to do a deeper teardown of the case...guess I'll have to figure it out myself....I've got 2 of these gens, and the other one has a big fuel leak I can't see...even after new hoses installed...maybe it's a bad bowl gasket, but I can't see the back-side of the carb to see where it's coming from...therefore deeper teardown necessary. 🙄
