Because you chose to be a big dork and Coors lite is your favorite beer I subscribed you got a fan I love mini zs just got my first four free with loads of parts at an estate sale already building a custom mini z lol
@@drianashton Haha Awesome track you have set up. Just need a few scale buildings a pit stop and your all set. You got me thinking now about another track build for my mini zs. Have an amazing day and cheers coors is my beer too.
FYI, that air boat belongs to the Grand Traverse County sheriff, they use it on ice rescues. They don't use it much, must have been for training. We put radio equipment on the boat, kinda cool to see
Cool video! Just wanted to point out, even if the fan boat was off, the fan would still spin as it's towed down the road due to the air passing over the prop.
Your no Dork come on its pretty cool .......when me and your dad were kids they had slot car track stores .......They were a blast !!! gotta still have fun car stuff in winter !!!
Sub'd! 06:00 - That made me laugh.. "My mini z parts should be delivered..." Lool. I just recently got into Mini Z's as well, instantly hooked. Ordered parts from several countries because of stock issues and have said the same thing so many times. Me and some friends that also race 10th and 8th scale RC started two tracks one in my garage one in a buddies. We race twice a month and its a basically a party/race. Your track looks great, love the details you're putting into it. One tip from a long time RC driver. While you were running on the track, i could hear the spring in your transmitter twanging. You dont want to let go of the wheel after you turn. If you're coming out of a turn and want to go straight, let the spring take you back to the neutral position. If you're cutting back into another turn go past it. Just never take your fingers off the wheel! :D Wow.. this is my longest youtube comment ever. Well, have fun man! This is my track if you want to check it out. I'm not racing in this video.. ua-cam.com/video/H8g5uWQXHVE/v-deo.html
Ok. I'm a little weirded out by our similarities. Just about to build a track in my basement. Two kids. Wife is equally puzzled. Love Coors (and Miller). Live an hour NE of Minneapolis in MN, but I travel to Traverse City often for work. You're not an airline pilot,, are you? My buddy told me about these cars in the last week and I dove in. Our basement is like a dungeon and used for literally nothing. I shoot rubber balls from my TR50 down there sometimes. It will be great for a track! Just wanted to give you a shout out. Good inspiration! I'll make a video of my track build and send you a link. 🙂 ~ Josh
Track is holding up great! The white border is actually plastic drywall edging. I started racing more on an RCP track in my office, so don’t use this one as much, but still have fun racing with the kids on this one.
@@drianashton Oh wow I guessed right! Well it looks like loads of fun, and now with the smaller 1:76 Turbo cars, your track could easily get more mileage- a tad slower cars, but could increase the close racing factor--- thank you SO much for responding so quickly to a 2 yr old video! 🤣💨
Keep holding on the steering wheel, don't let go off it. Btw what's the name of the track, check me out on UA-cam GenSapalicio, I have tiny cars that you might be interested on buying. Very tiny rc cars.

Finally someone made a track that doesn’t consist of only 90 and 180 degree turns 🙌🏻
I recognize and relate to the enthusiasm that creeps in once you start messing with toy cars. The track looks great.
Birds and bugs are going to hate that airboat lol awesome track
Debating getting into Mini Zs with my 8 year old daughter.....this makes me want to even more. New subscriber!
Welcome! We have a blast with em for sure!
Thats a cool idea. I'm trying to get my kids into mini z's. Me and my dad had some about 20 years ago and we loved them.
Too cool man, I’m glad to see you got the kids involved
Great, I feel like I just met someone like me about all this stuff. Thanks for the info. I’m soaking in everything I can to build soon.
Amazing video thanks for making and sharing it
My pleasure, thanks for watching!

I figured - those things are wild! There’s been a few on Torch when we’ve been out, I bet they are fun!
Just moved to the tc area (5 years ago) been having a lot of fun. Cool stuff around here.
We moved here about 9 years ago - my wife grew up here, but I’d never been until I met her. Now I can’t imagine wanting to live anywhere else!

lol thats what i was thinking too

I remember slot car racing at a place out near Mt Clemens, 1/24 cars - so much fun!

That’s awesome, and hilarious! Can’t wait to see what you come up with, good luck! And no, not a pilot - I am a mortgage guy lol
Yeah, I figured that out already. Next time I'm on a Traverse overnight, I'm coming in for a quote (to see cars).
Tracks always open!
How freaking cool!
Nice diy track!
Thanks!
Hey! I'm in Grand Haven! Just starting to get into the mini z world
They are addicting! It’s a ton of fun though!
@@drianashton I could totally understand. Also, nice C43! I spent 5 years as a certified MB dealer tech, absolutely love Mercedes.
Great video!!!!
Any follow up to this? Still happening? Tuned in again to find out what that white border is that you screwed down etc

I’d think the cars could go through the walls on track
Ha found you! This is DotDot!!
What's the smallest track you can run on? 1x2?
This is about as small as I’d go I think
Can you share what you used for the taping and guard rail ?
Absolutely! Search Amazon for "3M Hazard Marking Duct Tape, Red & White, 1.88 inches by 25 yards, 1 roll"
No dork …. You are enjoying life period…..
What is the timing app called
RC Timing on iPhone, worked pretty well!
Track looks great and that's an awesome idea to use drywall edging how has that held up? And I love the Scooby-Doo Pitt racing sticker!
Thanks! The edging has held up great!
How did attached the borders?
I just used small screws right into the tiles
Where did you buy your Eva mat
Harbor Freight - great price and now even a few years later they still look great!

Sorry, I meant to ask what's the name off the app for timing
