A hundred fifty years ago my grandma walked 5 miles, each way, to school in 4-5 feet of snow, lived to 95yo.
My nan is 94 still smokes and drinks 🍸 and is in good health 🤯 she even outlived my mother, who died days after her booster shot at 68.

This is why I prefer hot weather to cold weather. Heat waves are bad, but at least your vehicle is still mobile and the highways are open.

Exactly what I said and packed up my stuff and moved south. I so so love it. I'm sick and tired of dealing with Illinois horrendous long winters. Life is too short and now I have much better weather to enjoy alot more. If it's hot in the day you just stay in AC but at least morning and night it's comfortable and you can get your errands done no problem. When it snows it's bad the entire day and it's freezing 🥶 in the morning and night. Love love love my weather here.

I'm in Northern California and it's rainy(not today), cold ❄️ and windy here! I lived on the East coast years ago for a few years, so glad I don't have to deal with snow 🌨️ any more. If I want snow, I'd just go to Tahoe! 😂

In 6 months from now, millions in the east coast are under a sweltering heat wave.
Not like in years past. Like 2010, 1996, 1993.
According to NASA, it's because of a huge underwater volcano eruption two years ago in Tonga (middle of the ocean) that ejected enough water vapor to increase the amount of water in the stratosphere by 10%. They predicted a few months later (August '22) that we'd be likely to see more moisture for a few years because of that specifically. Look up the satellite photos of the eruption; it's really awesome (in the literal sense of awe-inspiring).

2 inches in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.❤❤❤. Suppoed to be a slow commute on Highway 82 andxI I70 toward Grand Junction, Colorado. Aspen is 40 minutes away from Glenwood Springs, Colorado. More snow snow is expected there.

Here in Montreal we get an average of 200 millimetres of snow every year our annual budget for snow removal last year was $190,000,000. For this year it’s $200,000,000. ( I just looked it up ) we’re used to lots of snow and ice storms. This is child’s play to us.

3 to 6 inches counts as snowstorm now? i use to go to school and work in a foot of snow, and there was no weather related sensationism back then.
Here in Maine we got absolutely hammered right before Christmas. Electricity was out for most people. My power did not come back on for 3 days, and I was lucky. Then the flood hit and some businesses are still out of power. Many of them closed up shop. It looks like it is going to happen again Wednesday with wind gusts up to 60 miles an hour. There is going to be major flooding again.
