I've been denied exactly for this reason lol. I wear a shirt under my scrubs and a cap over my hijab. So now I'm by myself in doctor's office while others are in surgery room. Of course It has nothing to do with hate. It's just that it's non sterile. And unfortunately because I live a country with muslim minority they don't have much options for us students who want to wear hijab in OR. Thank u for this video ❤️
What i used to do- Wear the headgear(cotton preferably) which covers the head entirely.. Thereafter wear two surgical caps.. It covers the entire head.. The neck and chest cannot be covered in the typical Hijaab sense.. If you are assisting in the OT, then you have to wear the OT gown and that covers everything completely.. Everything is about Intention eventually.. So it will be fine, don't worry, In sha Allah..

I'm hoping maybe i can wear these (disposable) items as a patient especially since my surgeon is male. (I was unable to find a female orthopaedic surgeon.) I am a Muslim B.Sc nurse in India In the time of OT I was not allowed to enter with my hijab even with precautions I was forced to take it off my hijab😭😭😭It is one of the most painful day in my life
I wear neqab at hospital but in the OR i switch to the mask for infection control, however i also wear a piece of cover under my hijab to cover my hair from appearing accidentally + covering more area of my forehead as compensation for neqab. We also should wear a more wide scrub top and pants so your body is not described by tight clothes! And you don’t get embarrassed 🤷🏽♀️!! Hope all girls wear the right modest and decent clothes as Allah told us to do... 🙏🏼🤍
I never understood those who claim that hijab/niqab cannot go along with medicine? I am a medical student and most of colleagues are hijabi females, and they have no problem with that, and I dont see the problem of designing special coats for them that respect their religious duties.

Salam Aleykum. What do you do when you have to do the surgical wash were you wash till elbows, that's never in a seperate room for women in some places. And we all know that after you wash the arms you can get your surgical gown inside the OR and you cannot touch your own arms again or take long sleeve down. that's not allowed?
Salam! I’ll answer since no one else has. You will have to keep your arms uncovered from when you scrub to when you scrub in. There is really no way around it. But it’s usually a really short time and Allah knows your intentions! Watch a couple of my videos for a few more ideas!
I was wondering the same also not all the scrub nurses are females there are a lot of males these days and of course the anesthesiologists most of the ones that do my cases are men for some reason (although they don’t usually bother looking in the gowning and gloving direction but still that self consciousness..) Make hijab scrubs, problem solved. Scrubs have to be clean so if hijab is also scrubs there is no problem. We already have pants scrubs short sleeve scrubs just add whatever scrubs needed for everyone to be comfortable. Not a big deal.

This is exactly what I was going to say. I’m a hijabi and currently studying to become a medical assistant. But obviously I live in the west and they don’t really care for deen speaking realistically. May Allah grant me something I am pleased with but if I am to choose between my hijab or work. Wallahi this dunya is not worth it.

I think it's highly unlikely for you to keep the beard, even in muslim and Arab countries it's unlikely to see surgeons with beards

This is exactly what I was going to say. I’m a hijabi and currently studying to become a medical assistant. But obviously I live in the west and they don’t really care for deen speaking realistically. May Allah grant me something I am pleased with but if I am to choose between my hijab or work. Wallahi this dunya is not worth it.
