- There’s nothing more adventurous than trying something new. I new way to activate a park. A new challenge to push you beyond what you think is capable. So when Doug KL7DUG asked if I wanted to go activate a park using he’s super cub. To land on a remote lake inside of Alaska’s most scenic landscape, I couldn’t wait! I was in AK 1988-1993 and I had a friend that had his private pilot license and you could rent planes from the base.
We did a lot of flying
I also worked the Iditarod and did communications for them and we would get dropped off on the trail
I miss AK and would love to do that
