Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 сер 2024
- Sean (KL5NE) Doug (KL7DUG) and myself drove north and rode snow machines out to a never activated park, Minto Flats K-9700. We camped there over the weekend in -16 degree weather. The first day was a little slow but made up for it the next morning. Follow along on our journey! Thanks for watching, 73

Thank you my friend! I sure do appreciate that! Thanks for watching, 73
Thanks for activating!!! I tried for what seemed like hours to get you in the log. I was operating portable here in Oklahoma. I only had 20 watts and the pileup was massive. I need Alaska but it's so rare. Glad you two got out and activated! I hope to hear you again!
Thank you my friend! I appreciate it! Hope I can get you in the log. Thanks for watching! 73
That is one extreme pota activation!
Thank you! Thanks for watching! 73

WHEN I WAS ON THE SLOPE I NEVER TOOK MY INSULATED HAT OFF 😂October
Haha I bet I wasn’t outside and the beard was frozen solid! Thanks for watching my friend and the comments! I see what you did there! 😉
I can 🥶feel🥶 the sound that snow makes as you walk on it 😂 great video!
Haha! Thank you! Thanks for watching my friend! 73
Stay warm out there on your adventures. Always a pleasure to put Alaska in the log. KJ7BPN
Thank you my friend! Thanks for watching, 73

Hey my friend Jeremy great job old ways 73 from kb2uew congratulations
Thank you my friend and thanks for watching! 73
I have enjoyed all of your videos. Made it to Alaska in 1986 & 1987 flying
into Anchorage on USAF KC-135's and hope to go back one more time with
my XYL'. On the second trip I rode the Alaska RR to Fairbanks and back to
visit friends at Eielson AFB. Keep up posting these great videos.

Thank you my friend and thanks for your service! Look me up when you’re back in the area! Thanks for watching my friend, 73
Great video.. all the best de N3LUD.
Thank you my friend! Thanks for watching! 73
Great video!!! Brrrrrrrr
Thank you! Thanks for watching, 73
I really applaud your team efforts to capture the excitement of Ham Radio. Minto Flats is better in winter than in the summer... too many mosquitoes.
Thank you my friend, I really that! Wow I can only imagine the mosquitoes in the summer! 😂. Thanks for watching! 73
AWESOME TRIP!!! I greatly appreciate the heads up to the adventure…. Still trying for AK.
Thank you! Thanks for watching my friend! 73
Love it, Jeramy! Especially the authentic Alaska stuff. You might throw in some time stamps when it’s twilight in the middle of the day. That would add more Alaska flavor. Otherwise us normies might just assume it’s evening. Can’t wait to see what else you’re doing!
Thank you! That’s a good idea! Yeah sunrise at 10:20am and sunset at 3pm. The sun didn’t get much higher in the horizon. Thanks for watching! 73
POTA in a frozen winter wonderland! Nice work Jeramy! 73!
Thank you Jeff! I appreciate it my friend. 73
Any man who ventures out in -16 degree weather to activate a park is a man I want to follow!! lol Great video and glad you got your activation. Working on getting my General so hope to contact you someday. Keep up the great content! K1EDW
I appreciate it! Good luck on your general! In the mean time watch for me on 10 meters. We should be able to make a contact there. Thanks for watching! 73
You folks in Alaska are a different breed for sure. If I wasn't busy trying to fill my deer tags I would have tried to reach you guys from Michigan.
Haha thanks my friend! We were also out trying to fill some wolf tags! Thanks for watching! 73
@@KL7ECoutdoors hopefully you had some luck with that as well. No wolves in the southern part of Michigan's Lower Peninsula that I am aware of. However they have been growing in population in the Upper Peninsula so much in the last few years they are affecting the deer herd.
@@DarkShadowCustoms no luck with wolves. Coyotes have been migrating here. There is quite a bit. However here they are no longer the apex predator, haha. Calling them in might be a little challenging.
Great job 👏 guys! 🎙 Don W1FYG
Thanks Don! I sure do appreciate it! 73
From S.E.Tenn, I hope to get a chance to run across you on the airwaves! I rarely get POTA comms from the US/Canadian Northwest, much less Alaska. Gonna keep trying. Thank you for getting out there! Stay safe & have fun.
Thanks my friend! With winter upon us I imagine 20 and 17 will improve. Those are the bands we would make contact for sure. 10 meters also if open. Hope to get you in the log! Thanks for watching, 73
Awesome video as always!
Thank you my friend!! I really appreciate it. Thanks for watching! 73
Minto Flats Epic Adventure for sure!!! Here’s to many more!!! I know Sean’s anxious to get you out to our cabin!!! ☺️ You’re so welcome to use my sled anytime & thank you for the shadow box with all the cool 😎 finds!!! 🥰
I can’t wait for that!! Thank you again for letting me use the sled! Now I gotta get one! 😃 Thanks again!
Get ready looks like you might get a little snow 😂
😂
WOW! So much effort in getting that park activated. You make my mobile POTA activations look lame. HAHA! I really want to work you and have a Ham Alert set up. Unfortunately, the propagation gods have not smiled upon me just yet. Someday! 73! -Scott, KE4WMF
Thanks my friend! I appreciate that! No POTA activations are lame! Hope to get you in the log! 73
@@KL7ECoutdoors - I may have a cheat code for working you: I'm planning a road trip to WA and OR, plus many parks in between, for next August. Perhaps I'll be able to hear you when I'm closer. We'll see. 😎
@StealthGTI yeah OR is always booming here as well as WA. That sounds like a lot of fun!
Awesome video fellows! 540 miles in that sort of weather!... I speak for the homebound hunters that can not experience the adventure's you guys have except only through your reports!... Well done!...
Thank you my friend! Yeah it was a blast all around. Thanks for watching! 73
Awesome video Jeramy! I love the adventures and sorry we didn't make the logs
Thank you my friend! Hope all is well, you driving up in 24??
