This is my new favorite artist. Just saw him at a house concert of all places and didn't know what to expect. He's a great story teller and a rangy song writer pulling in the best parts of Al di Meola, Steve Miller, Bob Marley, and Mathew Sweet just to name a few. But he's super hip and current with his beats and production. Very strong album. If he doesn't get big the system is indeed rigged.

will do. That hood river event was very memorable. One question: did you produce your album yourself? It really sounds great

Love this understated love song. Yes, I recognize that's what it is... very nice vocal and the slides into falsetto were particularly sweet (coming from someone who literally has no falsetto). Can't believe only 43 likes and 9 comments. Let's make that 10!

JB, I listened to your “swampy” version of Stand By Me. Love how there’s a supportive, yet wide palette, that gives your voice room for every nuance. This song also lets your awesome singing speak clearly. Beautiful tune, beautiful lyrics, fuckin’ crazy great mix! Too bad I’m dug-in too deep. I’d tell everyone in the world about your talents. (…and no, I’m not gay; not that there’s anything wrong with that. Ha!)

Another superb piece of work my friend! I really like the feel of this one. The haunting feel of the backing reminds me of Chris Issak's "wicked game" only with MORE MEAT in the stew. You knocked this one out of the park.

Hey JB .. I don't like it I LOVE it lol a Time less classic piece .. I loved your singing & the lyric is GR8 .. It put me in mind of Harry Nilsson a little bit .. My personal standard for anything I write is " if you can't dance to it or make love while it is playing then it's not good enough .. " as the saying goes if it ain't got that swing " But at least you can sway to to it . & I am sure it has that romantic feel .. Like back in the Day You could put on " Rumours " & leave it on repeat play .. I wish you loads of success .. But it seems like you are living the dream already & I hope lot's of people join up & become Patreons's . I don't know if you played all the parts maybe Guitars & bass with a guest drummer ? The guitars & bass sound fabulous & are married together like they came from one mind . If you played the drums as well Wow . I have an Electronic drum kit ( a beginners one ) & a drum machine ( I am trying not to mention products by name in case it affects anything ) But For my Christmas & Birthday combined I got a Multi Pad .. which I love & then last month I invested in the lowest priced Snare from a Budget range .. So I can develop the feel of sticks rebounding from a real drum .. Tomorrow with this months money I will be getting the snare stand .. Lol .. & although I may have to move out to the wood shed ? for regular practice at least Spring is on the way . ( When I started on Harmonica I was banished to the woods where the wild Boar roam but my wife said " well you don't have to worry you are the biggest Bore in the Forest & anyway when they hear you playing they will all run away ) lol . So Keep on Rockin & remember happy wife happy life .. lol Stay safe & if I might suggest when you are deciding on the Songs & the final order .. If anything makes you want to adjust the volume .. is it in the best place .. Unless it's a story which has to have such dramatic mood changes . Stay Frosty . Bye From the old muso in the woods

oops just found out album 6 years ago does not sound dated at all . I used to argue with my Big brother who was the original front man songwriter & guitar player .. " But American Bands are so disciplined & tight .. " & he would say yeah but that's what British bands do best " He meant sloppy Rock n roll like the stones & the Faces etc / even the Who But I think he just liked to party more than rehearse . LOL So he broke up the Band ( I got let go ) lol .. In one sense he had a point .. We had just got back from a Thin Lizzy gig with Pino Palladino coming back to crash at our place . WE had been Backstage with the Band & we did that a lot as my Brother had connections. The next morning Pino listened to us rehearse & then he very nicely showed me how to play my Bass . It was not just a lesson in bass playing but in Musicianship .. Pino is a really nice guy . This was when we lived in Cardiff . in 1976 .. Not long after Pino became a session Bass player & the rest of his story is a rise to fame . Me I went back to Scotland & started work as a Swimming teacher .. Bought a flat had a mortgage had a blues band where I wrote the songs & played guitar . & although I never gave up playing it was all about paying bills & I was never happy as a frontman . Long story short I moved to London When my Brother moved to Amsterdam .. & I did a lot of busking Jam sessions etc. Met my wife got married. WE bought a Small Farm in the country & I had a studio at last .. Sadly no idea what to do with the gear .. lol But from then up until now it's just the same Dogs & Cat's Moved to the Forest . More gear still no idea ( well getting better ) But Time slips away & now I am still here the world is changing & I am getting older & more frail but .. What else am I gonna do I still love playing & learning all the time .. Who knows what is to come lol cheers . I do have some Gr8 songs . not so many just a few .. Just takes one Big hit lol Thanks for the inspirations. Bye
