This is the luckiest run I have ever seen. Wow. Not trying to imply that you're savescumming or whatever, just that you have given the proper offerings to the luck gods
Wouldn't say so. The only lucky thing that happened was free Hungary, everything else was pretty typical (except Poland, but it's better for it to NOT join the HRE so you can PU it).
Poland didn’t take Lithuania and joined HRE, milan PU came at a inconvenient time, and Bavaria united like 13-14 years in. I’ve restarted way better runs than this for bad RNG man
I'm pretty sure Byzantium can do a scuffed revoke pre 1500 because of their starting government modifier that spawns pretender rebels every ruler succession. so you just abuse that mechanic and install the pretender which then spawns more pretender rebels if i'm not mistaken
Yeah, there was video by theplaymaker about it
its fixed with patch.
Great video! Like to see how you admit a healthy number of save scum =DD Can't wait for more videos!
I’m back on my phone now I gotta find a new run to suggest you boss, i might comment again after I finish the video
Thanks, people never talk about Austria for some reason
@cool bonobo u should say, that u can start improving relations with PU war targets, before u declare :P its a minor buff, but especially if your ruler is old, that can save you and classic "alt+f4 move"
I had no IDEA you could go through the centralization BEFORE finishing the top reforms. WOW. That could have saved my run, holy shit. Fucking protestant reformation kills me.
Thankfully yeah, if you're fast enough you can avoid reformation completely
at the start, you inform people to start drilling w/ your ruler.
Drilling actually doesn't in- or decrease the chance of the assigned general dying. For rulers, 3 things increase their chance of dying: Being made a general, and being assigned to an army, and then being in a battle, but drilling doesn't do anything. So while you want your king leading an army, you don't need to have them drill constantly. Also note that just being made a general, even if not assigned to any army, will decrease their life expectancy, so be careful when assigning rulers generals! You can't take it back (in this case tho, bonobo is of course right, you want this one to die).
This misconception stems from a little flavour text you sometimes get when a general dies, which claims that they died in a drilling accident. Thing is, this flavour text is older than the drill feature, and it can pop up even when that leader wasn't drilling an army.
I did a run that went absolutely perfect in the early bits. Got milan, burgundy the pu wars done and just as i was about to really start slapping i just inherited everything. effectively cutting my army in half and it pissed me off so much i just quit. gonna go at it again after the twitchings stop.
Thats a pretty *cool* bonobo tbh
Classic Austria revoke, nice
I have given the privelege where everyone became my vassal. Then I revoked it - everyone still was vassal. So there's a good way to give - expand HRE - revoke - give again and get more vassals.
Or you can just conquer nation, and release it as vassal. This works similarly.
@Cool Bonobo i don't make request often but could you make Sunni Persia?(Ajam or culture shift Timurid, formable or at the start)
A lot of the mechanic are geared toward Ardabil Shia Persia so the information about non Ardabil are frustratingly lacking.
There is Zoroastrian Persia but let's be honest, someone will cover that lmao.
I'm surprised no one has tried out Sunni Persia, Timurids usually would be my first choice to form Persia.
@@CoolBonobo Timurid despite starting with Uzbek culture can easily culture shift because most Uzbek are in Transoxiana.
Meanwhile forming Timurid force you to become Uzbek culture when your culture balance are already varied unless you're careful not to recklessly state province untill the correct moment, Forming Timurid give more claim though. And i like the challange.
You can also look if there's a way to get a force religion target in a war through allies and co-belligerants. No-cb is not necessary most of the time.
Good advise, but it was in the video (though should have allocated more time to explain the ways to declare on heretics).
🎉🎉🎉
If you're going for max imperial authority wouldn't it be better to release Burgundy as princes of the HRE? Assuming you get the votes.
I was thinking about this, but decided not to because the amount of IA you'll get for more princes is negligible, while Burgundy will help with economy, and maybe with "weak emperor".
21:06 Bruh lmao.
21:46 The horse collapsed from shock when it learned that colonialism had been invented.
I did Austria in an mp game but Hungary refused me. So we jumped in as hungary to force them to accept me bcuz none of us wanted to risk ottos attacking them.

Great guide, won't work for my pc specs though.
:)
How do you expect to convert center of reformation with Religous zeal on it?
It's really easy actually, centers of reformation get -5% instead of -100%. So if you go religious + advisor + religious culture + state edict you will convert the center fairly quickly.
Although just checked, my bad, the very first center of reformation does have -100%. But first centers usually spawn in
Are u sure about this? seems like all mine have 100%?@@CoolBonobo
you dont take the province with center of reformation in it.
center of reformation spawns in capital of a nation.
if you use heresy cb you can force convert the nation as a war goal which force converts their capital and removes center of reformation.
Wouldn’t it be better to force burgundy into the hre by taking their capital? Removes a whole lot of imperial provinces back into the hre.
You just need to make sure that their new capital will be an HRE province, otherwise it won't work.
