How to play the drums. For this week's lesson we have a crack at one of my favourite drum beats from one of my favourite bands - Passenger By Deftones. The groove is made up of single stroke 16th notes with some tasty accents on the hi hat throughout the groove to give it an awesome feel.

Nice playing but you are playing straight 16ths on the hat. His is a broken pattern with the left coming down on the snare almost like in your classic linear pattern. Nice playing regardless.

Cool beat, but some tabs would've gone a long way. Also, if you did the hands, then the feet, then tied them together and repeated it a few times slowly rather than rushing through it once and going to the next section. ....for me anyway. I'm not quite In termediate yet
