Hi g'day! you guys still here in Dumaguete? I'm wondering if I could join you guys in a group trail ride in this same route. It's been a long time since I've done trail riding, and I'm itching to flex my rusty off-road riding skills, and riding is more fun when you got a group to ride with. hehe.
Nyeesss hey bro yes still here in dumaguete, once this lockdown comes to an end we will organise a ride out. My bike is feeling depressed haha ! Stay safe bro ✌🏾
This video was Orgasmic! I didn't blink, Esp from 6:38 ish. Bravo taking the rally the way it should be. Want to see more. Ride safe, and do get some guards to protect the level damage in middle of nowhere.
Thank you very much I love this video there's hardly any talking at all I actually get to hear the more cycle run Videos like this are rare for this more cycle
Hell no dude I had an Africa twin I actually sold it and bought myself a little 250 rally I enjoy it so much more. The Africa twin was way better on the highway but I enjoy cruising around on my rally
This might be kinda late but, my God! What happened to those roads?! Must be due to the monsoon season triggering a lot of landslides. I rode this same route back in November 2016 with my trusty Honda XR150L. The roads back then was more passable than it is in the video. A lighter dual-sport bike definitely helps traversing this route a lot easier. Althought the XR150L is a bit underpowered, it is still very capable due to its more manageable weight and lower seating height; I'm only 5'7" tall and 170lbs. Good job traversing those sketchy parts of the route. I would have chickened out if I encountered those, lol. Awesome video dude! Definitely brought back those memories going through this same route. Best experience in my riding life. XD.
Where is this? What a messed up trail. Great video and great skills with the rally. This is the reason why you need a small displacement and semi-lightweight adventure-trail bike. I also own a rally (and a Supertenere) this is why! Ps: although I have to confess I would almost certainly turn around around 6:35 ish. You sir have a big pair of....and never mind that you almost “chickened out”at 10:52...😂😂
thanks, no trash music. just pleasant background. sound. ,............. nice to see homes, with no F''IN politician saying NO HOME SLEEP IN DRAIN PIPE .
Cheers mate. I'm living vicariously through you right now. I have a Rally on order but sadly I'll never be able to see what you did on this one simple trip.
I just rode my 250 rally through the most wicked rocky miserable pass and I was laying on it too. I beat the crap out of it. I was keeping up with a KTM 350 ridden by a way better rider than me. My hands have blisters from holding on for dear life. A 7 and a half hour ride, probably an hour and a half on that rocky hell you were on. Oh I laid it down twice. I was like a ping pong ball up that pass. Epic ride tho. Cracked a fairing a bit but don't care. I can't believe this thing conquered that ride with no issues aside from my riding it haha. So great. Oh and the KTM rider had no blisters. I think he was fairly relaxed compared to me but he's been riding his whole life. I've only done dirt riding for 3 years.
Mate well done ; great riding there ; I also and done round trip in Cebu and Bohol on a klx150 and it at times is not easy but the view was out standing Well done
Great!!! My friend, I have just sold my BMW GS1200 Adventure 2015. I want to buy a smaller one, to do things, really can not do with the Beemer. I am thinking in this one, and the other I have thinking in, is the Suzuki DR650. I want to do something like this and also that the bike, let me go anywhere in South America. I do not go faster than 110km/h so the speed is not important for me. My question, can you ride as an example in a trip longer than 5,000 kms with no problems??? Thanks, I really enjoyed your amazing video. The Beemer did not let me go in most off road situations, and even for its weight I have a lot of headaches, when trying to change directions or trying to lift that beast. Thanks, good riding with safe!!!!!!
People went around the world already on this bike so it certainly is possible. I had zero technical issues with it in 1 year / 10000 kms. Maintenance was 3 oil changes, some chain lubing and nothing else. However compared to the DR650 you will have to pack considerably less to save weight. And you won't be able to go as fast. 110km/h average speed is hardly doable with luggage, that will be more likely your maximum speed on good stretches without head winds. 90 or 100 as average should be doable on long tours. In case you do break down, it will probably be easier to get parts for the DR 650 in south america (I think it's a really common bike there). Also the DR 650 might be easier to repair in some cases / does not have that many bells and whistles that could break.
Hi Mario, the little CRF is much more modern than the DR. It's the same weight but the DR is twice the power of the CRF.The main difference is that the CRF is liquid cooled which means you won't get problems when it's hot. I had a DR and when it was hot it kept on stalling because the engine was getting too hot. The CRF is also much more agile in technical stuff than the DR. And the CRF is fuel injected which means the engine is very soft and very linear. My bike has 20 000km and I do long offroad trips with it, between 5000 and 7000 km. Inever had a problem and I never check anything on the bike when I'm on holiday with it. Getting parts for this bike is NOT a problem wherever you are!
thanks foe great uploads I subscribed please add more! I want to get my own crf250 rally in negros occidental. looks like perfect balance of adventure and nature. not any concrete or asphalt just amazing how people can live in such remote areas cheers!

I had riden a kawasaki 250 and my it was fun! Anyway you video just show how adventoures this bike can take u Im getting my this comming saturday . Thanks
Good to see this bike in the rough stuff. Looks like a pair of knobby tires would help. Heavy bike if you find a low rut. Are you flat foot on it while on the seat at a stop. I'm looking to buy the 300 coming to the states. Wondering if I could do the LAB2V on it. Happy trails from the PNW.
I can flat foot it when wearing proper boots, even with the upgraded YSS shock. 34" inseam.. . At the time of the video I was still on the stock IRC "knobbies" (and stock suspension) also didn't air them down as I should have. With Shinko E805, aired down to maybe 15 PSI it's a different story :)
Mine is geared down to 14/44 - makes it buzzy above 100kph but helps a lot in the mountains. The 300 should solve that with its increased power, no need to gear it down I think... Or at least not that much
@@JensDotKr I can flat foot the Rally with a 30" inseam on the showroom floor. Adjusting preload may change that but I'm good with that. I have an 83 XR200R with the same seat height geared 12 front and 50 rear and it climbs everything with 50/50 tires. I may regear later with a 46ish on the CRF rear and leave the front stock to reduce wear on slider. I may also go with a TUbliss system for the tires as they are easy to repair and are a rim lock to boot. Happy trails and great video.
Great video. I am wanting that bike for when I finally get moved back to that area. Do they have locally available modifications for it or best to bring with me from the US?
In short: bring whatever you can ;) There is no big market here for accessories since it's not a very common bike. I ordered a lot of stuff from the US (i.e. the PM racks rear rack, Zeta hand guards, Renthal handle bar, Mosko Moto luggage) and some from Thailand (most notably the YSS rear shock). Expect to pay roughly 25% on taxes and duties for every shipment worth more than USD 200 / PHP 10,000. So if you're coming from the US, bringing stuff with you can save you quite some money.
Yep the CRF250 is getting more popular in the US and more stuff coming out all the time. I could bring all the smaller stuff I can in a big suitcase. They even have ECU mods that give it some more power. Some stuff, of course, like big stuff must get it there.

@Jens Krämer can i ask what's your weight, and if you have your rear shock bottoming out on you? ive been told its very soft for heavier riders, is that true? ty
I'm 72kg without gear and stock it's been OK when riding alone without luggage. But 2up or with luggage the shock was easily overwhelmed. Not only soft but seriously lacking damping, so things felt quite unstable at higher speeds even on tarmac. I'd say if you're heavier and/or plan to ride with luggage or 2up, you gotta upgrade the shock. I got the YSS and it's a great improvement.

Tank is 10l, my average is between 3 and 3.2l / 100km. But I rarely go more than 100 here due to road conditions and traffic. So it will be probably 3.5l/100km if you're really pushing it. In South America you might want to bring extra fuel or get a bigger or aux tank.
Oh believe me, that's nothing. Honda clutches can take a 100 times that level of stress. As long as you don't do it for too long. Heat is the only real metric and I don't think those 5 seconds at very low revs did anything to it. It's a dirt bike after all!! :)
I had a few John McEnroe moments there (“You cannot be serious”) but you certainly put that bike through it’s paces. Echo those comments re no musical soundtrack. Much better to listen to that sweet single cylinder.👍🏻
Hi I own a Rally, too. While it is a good dual purpose bike, it is made for trail biking rather than hard core off roading like in this video. Lighter weight two strokes would be happier in this terrain. First 3 minutes of the video- while it seems like a piece of cake while sitting and watching, believe me it is not! Nice video!
If you grow up living in those villages, you're just used to it. I off-roaded in Vietnam for the last 2 and a half years and was overtaken by the locals on their 110cc semi automatics so many times :P
In the video I'm using a Chinese-Made Aluminum mount: honda250rally.com/2017/07/05/yet-another-phonegps-mount-solution-the-gub-g-86-phone-holder/ I since switched to the Perfect Squeeze (motostuff.shopgate.com/item/363836). It's more solid (though I never had a problem with the old mount in that regard) and it's easier to mount / dismount the phone.
Looked like a nice trail. I love trail riding in the Philippines planning my next trip in October. I have hired a XR150L the last few times. This time I was thinking of buying a rally and selling it after the 8 week holiday or leaving it with family. You need a riding buddy much safer I broke two Transverse bones in my back and could not move my legs for 2weeks as they were pushing into my spinal cord not sure what would have happened if I was not riding with a buddy. I ended up getting airlifted out by heli.
Yeah that's very true regarding riding alone. That trip I didn't have it yet but now I got such a Garmin satellite SOS thing, so hopefully I would manage to get help through that if necessary... Where will you be riding? Another option might be to get a used XR 200, or the new CRF 150l which appears to be a really nice bike.
Certo, cascare continuamente dove gli abitanti del posto passano per andare a fare la spesa, magari in due oppure con un carico di canne, su motorette che valgono meno della metà della tua, la dice lunga sulle tue capacità fuoristradistiche.

Jens Krämer just got my rally. What phone mount are you using and where from? Thanks
How do you get gas in the mountains
Not a problem, if there's no gas station nearby someone for sure is selling gas by the bottle.
@@JensDotKr thanks for getting back with me
Youre one powerful dude
How can i import this to India ? Pls
What type of handle bar bag do you have?
Giant Loop Zigzag. Very solid product.
Nice video!
2 - strokes dont have the low end torque you need for this kind of trail.
@@yessure5291 Yeah. Don't think you ever rode one...
@@tolga1cool I had a 1986 Honda CR500 2 stroke for 2 years - and I have ridden many others.
Yes Sure a lot has changed since the 80s, though ;) my buddy’s fuel-injected 2-stroke Husky TE 300i would have no problem, or his old YZ125
u should talk sir :D would love to see more off road videos... to know how capable the rally is offroad :) thanks
is it too high for a 5'7 guy like me? :D
I'm 5'9 and can flat-foot it. You should be OK. There's also a possibility to lower it a bit by changing the link at the shock.
Awesome folk, congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video...kudos to you...
you are doing good! keep going :))
Is that your cell phone near the speedometer?
Yeah, it's a cheap rugged android called "Blackview BV6000S". Serves me well as navigation system so far.
Pretty well riding don't afraid put some throttle response better when it's slippery
Lol 100cc bike with a person on the back on those hard trails he must be one hell of a off-road rider
If you grow up living in those villages, you're just used to it. I off-roaded in Vietnam for the last 2 and a half years and was overtaken by the locals on their 110cc semi automatics so many times :P
Where's this place?
Check out the description there's a link :)
What phone mount are you using?!
In the video I'm using a Chinese-Made Aluminum mount: honda250rally.com/2017/07/05/yet-another-phonegps-mount-solution-the-gub-g-86-phone-holder/
I since switched to the Perfect Squeeze (motostuff.shopgate.com/item/363836). It's more solid (though I never had a problem with the old mount in that regard) and it's easier to mount / dismount the phone.
yep ./// looks fun phillipines yer fun place
Taga dumaguete ka boss.
Yeah
She's a tough bike !!
Is that a phone mount or a gps mount?
That's an aluminum phone mount from alibaba and a relatively cheap rugged "Blackview" android phone.
My goodness dude!
nice place too
Convinced me need more low end gearing,
Yeah, it's much better with 13t in front and/or larger rear sprocket. I'm running 14/44 now, much more fun all around.
Philippines?
Yes!
Definitely a place for single cylinder
Certo, cascare continuamente dove gli abitanti del posto passano per andare a fare la spesa, magari in due oppure con un carico di canne, su motorette che valgono meno della metà della tua, la dice lunga sulle tue capacità fuoristradistiche.
Come ride with me, maybe you can tech me a thing or two while you push your vespa through the mountains?
CRF rally man!
So awesome
...
fi na po ba ito ?
christian remigio I don’t understand that ;)
Jens Krämer i mean . is this fuel injected already ?
christian remigio yes, it is :)
Jens Krämer nice 😊 thanks fpr the replies
