Never has there been an actor who was more inventive and resourceful than Ken Osmond, in playing the impossible, but oddly charming Eddie Haskell.. They broke the mold when they made him.. Thanks Ken, for everything.. "You're looking lovely today, Mrs. Cleaver.."
" Oooh Good afternoon Mrs.Cleaver , Mr.Cleaver..............is Wally around?". With these words, we knew Eddy was going upstairs to go boss Wally around in his own room. " Beat it squirt " he'd say to Beaver.......then after his visit with Wally, Eddy would politely excuse himself from the house. Eddy made the show, with his cunning. RIP Ken Osmond.
I love how Eddie always would call Wally "Wallace" and Beaver "Young Theodore" around his parents. Ha. Great character. This America seems so beautiful compared to what we have now. Heck, the 80s seem idyllic compared to what we have now.
@@josephmcmonagle9621 Well, the 90s and even the 2000s seem great compared to today. Things really took a down turn over the past decade and especially the last 5 or 6 years.
We got several glimpses of Eddie's backstory on the show. It was noted that The Haskell's had more money than The Cleavers and that as an only child of a workaholic father he felt neglected. When he and Wally were littler Eddie was a jerk. As the show progressed he changed into being more obnoxious. As such Wally learned not to be led astray by him but instead tolerate Eddie's weaknesses.
That Eddie..he’s a real wise guy. Always giving Wally and beaver the business. He’s lucky Wally didn’t ever slug him one on account of the way he acts.
Hello everyone! I just finished an interview with "Leave It To Beaver" star Jerry Mathers and his wife Teresa last week where he talks about his life and career, including his memories of Ken Osmond. Part one of the interview is available on my UA-cam channel: ua-cam.com/video/Bk4oxUn6znA/v-deo.html with part two coming soon!
"I'm sure you are". She knows he's not. Her and Ward see right through him. He's so funny. June: Wasn't that nice of Eddie to show Dudley around? Ward: Yes, wasn't it? June: You say as if you mean just the opposite. Ward: I do, dear. LOL
Eddie was always a bit of a turd. Writers showed his vulnerable side more than once, Wally knew both, but if anyone remotely resembling Eddie enters your life, klaxons should sound
Every neighborhood had an Eddie Haskell!

Many thanks, Stephen for your hearted comment.. Beau
Love that character..made the show complete
Eddie stole almost every scene he was featured in on the show. He was my favorite character.

Eddie Haskell was a brilliant character play to perfection by Ken Osmond.
Loved Eddie.😊
June is having none of Eddie's shenanigans.
Who hasn't had an Eddie Haskell in their lives?
My son pointed out that Haskell is a combination of hassle and rascal. We all know Eddie is both.
Maybe, but where I'm from the surname Haskell is very well known. Lot's of Haskell families.
😊❤🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊❤
Rest In Peace, Ken Osmond🌹
Eddie is comedy greatness..note when the chips were down he was a real friend
“Real friend?” Hardly! Post your examples. They are far and few between.
@@bachrocktheamericahatersan5799 You knew he really loved Wally as a friend.
@@m.e.d.7997 with friends like Eddie, one has to watch their back.
Eddie dressed nicely just like Wally. It was likely a common thing for fellas in the early 60's.
Thats a lovely dress mrs cleaver😊

Our past was a fun dream world... polite, clever, caring, real people who had not been poisoned by today's hateful big media.

Eddie looking in the mirror shows at least he is not a vampire.
