Eddie was a huge part of Beaver’s success. Without his character the show would not have been nearly as great as it was. I’m so sorry to just now hear of Ken’s passing.

Eddie Haskell didn't ALWAYS pick on the Beaver, sometimes he gave him helpful advice and proved his behavior was just an act. Those were the days of rolled up shirt sleeves that held packs of soft=pack cigarettes with muscles dangling below them, and nobody wanted to be taken for a weakling, an easy mark. I lived in Glendale in the 60's, the 70's, the 80's and the 90's, at different times, while working different jobs. Glendale sure has changed over the years! I would have loved to encounter Ken Osmond back in those days. Thank you for sharing this video with everyone. "Maine" says "Hello" again.

I recall in a local 1970s TV show in the San Francisco TV market that had Jerry Mathers [The Beaver] as a guest. Mathers gave praise to Ken Osmond for being the most talented actor in the cast of the "Leave It To Beaver" TV series, as Osmond had to get Eddie Haskell character from being a jerk to an exceptionally nice person in a heartbeat in that series.
In the "New Leave It To Beaver" TV series in the 1980s, it was shockingly amazing to hear the June Cleaver character yelling at the adult Haskell, with June exclaiming regret that she should have 'taken him over her knee' [being a reference to punishment spanking] when Eddie was a child.

Eddie wasn't "one" of the most memorable, he was THE MOST memorable. I had a big crush on Tony and couldn't stand Eddie, but as an adult watching everyone act (or not act or act badly) he was always on top. Too bad he acted himself into a corner so that he couldn't get other acting jobs - I'm sure he could have been very versatile. They didn't give Emmys back in the day to teens, and particularly not on comedy shows, but he should have had several.

My favorite was Wally's Test in which he straightened out...at least for the episode. Frank Albertson struck a bell...he was the man who gave $40,000 to the secretary in Psycho. Such a great actor as Mr. Gannon.

I met Ken when I was a little kid, I was always wanted to be a Policeman when I grew up, and one night I heard a Harley drive past our house, but it sounded weird. We went out and found a Motor Officer with his broken down Harley Davidson, this was back in the early ‘70s, and the Officer was none other than Ken Osmond. We invited him in to call for a repair vehicle or whatever, and he told us who he was, but I could totally tell it was him. That was a very cool experience for me, I was a huge fan of the show Adam-12 and my Mom became a Police Officer not too long after that.

Eddie wasn't prepared for the test, so Eddy wrote his "Cheat Notes" on the Restroom paper towels.
--- Wally had to use the bathroom, early in the test.
--- Later, when Eddy went to the restroom, Eddy's "Cheat Notes" were gone.
--- So Eddy tattled to the Teacher, claiming that Wally had used the Cheat Notes.
--- When the Teacher kept Wally after class, the Teacher revealed the HE, the TEACHER, was the one who removed Eddy's "Cheat Notes", being fully aware of this common trick.

Eddie to the Cleavers: "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Cleaver, is Wallace home"? Eddie was a total BS artist but very funny. Of course the Cleaver parents saw through him but tolerated his nonsense.
