That was very good, I have never thought about that on enbossing so I have learned something more. Thank you.
Many thanks, Joyce. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
Beautiful card ,love this technique with embossing folder
Gorgeous cards! Love the inking up of embossing folder, I’ve seen crafters do one side but not both, how clever is that? Love you videos Jan, I know this is an older one but still love them. Thanks for always sharing 😊🇨🇦
I like this look on a card, thanks, Jan
Jan, when you use the framelits to cut out the butterflies, You can than sponge around the outer edge with the darkest color. That will cover all the white edges.
+Samistic Cards Hi, Samistic Cards. That's a good tip and would definitely have been quicker and easier. Fussy cutting makes the butterflies a bit smaller and just offers another option. Many thanks for your feedback. ☺Happy crafting, JanB
I really liked the painted embossing folder technique and the card was really romantic looking. Thanks for another great video.
Sandy Parker Hi, Sandy. I'm glad you enjoyed this technique and video. Kind regards, JanB.
Beautiful cards! Very nice technique 💐
Beautiful card Jan! Thanks for sharing.
I love that color of yellow! I love your videos! So informative and interesting!
Beautiful card! Now I know what to do with my brayer. I love this stamp set. Can't wait to attempt to replicate your lovely card! Thanks for sharing and posting the details.
Cut the piece of lace in half. Tie a bow. Put an adhesive dot under the knot of the bow and stick to card front. Wrap the ends of the lace around the sides of the card. Trim off any excess with scissors. Tape the ends to the back. Your card is beautiful. I'm saving this so I can make your card 😃
So very beautiful Jan just wish I had that butterfly stamp set.
Many thanks, Carmen. Unfortunately this stamp set retired quite some time ago. xx
Love both of the cards. You are such an artist. Thanks so much for sharing with us.

Many thanks, Jennifer. Me, too! xx
what a great use of embossing folders. I've done this with one side so the use of both sides makes sense. Great to put in stash for future use.

What a beautiful card. I plan on getting the brayer and giving it a try. Never used one before but your videos are very clear. I enjoy that you go slowly through the process.
+Carol Sooter Hi, Carol. I'm really pleased you're going to give it a go. I definitely recommend the Speedball Brayer. I've tried others but this, in my opinion, is the best. Happy crafting, JanB.

Jan that’s so awesome 😎 I really love 💕 that card. The tip on the colouring of the embossing folder, was genius and I really love ❤️ the smaller pearls on the card you demonstrated were much better. Thank you so much 😊

Another beauty, Jan, well done!
+Robin Leonard Hi, Robin. I think this a great technique. Glad you like my card. ☺ Happy crafting. JanB.
I keep meaning to do this technique with my embossing folders Jan but as yet have not! I have the Watercolour Wings stamp set too and this too I have not used yet. I really must be pro-active in using the stamp/die sets that I have not used as yet. This is a fabulous project and I definitely would love to CASE it. :O) xxx
Love this idea, love it and can't wait to try it.😍
+Maureen Howard Many thanks, Maureen. Have fun CASEing this. ☺ Happy crafting. JanB.
Beautiful cards! Love watching your videos
Hi, Jean. I pride myself that I always acknowledge viewers' comments but I'm horrified to find seven on this video, all posted a year ago, that haven't been acknowledged. I don't know why, but I do apologise for this oversight. I'm pleased you enjoyed this project and that you enjoy my videos - thank you. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB
Thanks Jan, I absolutely know it was just an oversight. One of the reasons I comment on your videos is that I know you read them! Thanks again!
Thanks for being so understanding, Sue. I really don't understand how UA-cam decide what order comments are going to be in! I wish they'd do chronological and be done with it, then I'd know where I am!! LOL! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
I think I really NEED a brayer roller now Jan! I have seen this technique before but what a fab idea to do two sides at once! I think I will try a similar card using stippled blossoms roses instead of the butterfly just to see how it works (although I do love this butterfly). thanks for the inspiration again Love Teresa xx
+Crafteresa uk Hi, Teresa. It's a great technique isn't it? The brayer in the catalogue, which is called Speedball, is the best brayer I've ever come across. It's not a SU product but we do sell it...............for the time being! It's "retiring" on 31.05.16. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
Jan this is beautiful.
+Jane Holmes Many thanks, Jane. This is an amazing technique. Happy crafting, JanB. ☺
When the ribbon is too short cut it in half and only attach the ends to the back. That makes it look like the ribbon is going all the way around. It uses less ribbon. Love your card. I am eager to make one. Good job.
Many thanks for the tip, Judy! xx
awesome cards i made them sorta like that before and they turned out awesome
Hi, Georgia. It's a great technique! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
Buenisima la idea de entintar el patrón!!! Gracias!!!
Hola, Liliana.
Fantastic
I'll try this
+Sarah Harkins Hi, Sarah. It's a striking effect, isn't it? Happy crafting, JanB.
I love your classes boo boo's and all luv ; )
Sharon Pimento Thanks, Sharon. Glad you like the boo boo's, too! ☺ JanB.
Wow, another beautiful card! I have cut the ribbon in half, taped each piece to the back edge and then turned and tied it on the front to save ribbon when I cut it too short. What colors of green did you use for the first card? Loved them both. Thanks for the wonderful video!
Love your cards so much, they are beautiful and I love butterflys.Could you please tell me what ink colors you use for the green cardRegardsJenifer
Jan I do enjoy the beauty of this card. And I do enjoy listening to ths sound of your voice. You voice sounds very familiar. Are you one of the people that talks about the royal family ?
Many thanks, None Yobusiness. No that's not me at all! xx
Gorgeous!! :)
Hi, JosephinesDesigns. Many thanks for watching. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
Lovely
Jennifer Anderson: I hope you see this because there isn't a reply button under your comment! The greens I used were Mint Macaroon and Garden Green. On the butterfly, one of the layers was Mint Macaroon and the second layer was Mint Macaroon stamped off once. Happy crafting, JanB.
+Jan Brown Thank you very much
+Jenifer Anderson Thanks, Jenifer. I'm pleased you saw my reply. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
+Jenifer Anderson Hi, Jenifer. Yes the card base and the lace are both Mint Macaroon.☺
So great! Wondering if you know, does it hurt if the ink has time to dry before you rinse the roller or the folder?
Hi, Theresa. I don't know the answer but at a guess if it's water based inks like ours, apart from staining, I shouldn't think it'd do any harm to the quality of the product. If it happens, I'd recommend you give the products a good wash under running water and clean with a soft cloth. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
You are great love all the cards you make little bit slow but it's ok
+Erendira Sullivan Thanks, Erendira. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
This is really gorgeous Jan thank you. Great idea to ink both sides of the folder and use two pieces of card at the same time.
Just a query with that, do you still get a good crisp emboss using two cards?
craftyvron madgranny Hi, Craftyvron. Yes, you do get a good impression on the second sheet - it's just that because one is embossed and the other debossed, the ink goes to different areas! ☺
I find that using wet glue tends to warp my cards when adding embellishments - do you know how to avoid that!
Hi, Shelly. I know what you mean. It could be that the wet glue you're using is very runny, and you're using a lot of it because it's not very sticky. As you know, I love Tombow. If you're using Tombow and it's warping your paper, you're prossibly using too much. All you need is a thin line around the edge and a quick squiggle in the centre of what you're adhering. Again, if you're already doing this, I'd suggest you blot your glued embellishment on scrap paper to remove excess Tombow. I hope this helps. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
Thank you Jan. I do use Tombow...maybe I’m a bit heavy handed and will try your suggestions 😀
Good luck, Shelly. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
sorry to trouble you again but are the papers the same as the ink colors
Hi, Jennifer. I pride myself that I always acknowledge viewers' comments but I'm horrified to find seven on this video, all posted a year ago, that haven't been acknowledged. I don't know why, but I do apologise for this oversight. I know it's a bit late now, but yes the papers and inks are the same colours. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
I have seen this technique before with ink where is the paint?
Hi, Candace. You ask where is the paint? I assume you are referring to the title of this video Painted Embossing? In this text, I have used the word painted as a past tense verb rather than a noun. If I've lost the plot with your comment, (easily done! LOL), please let me know. ☺☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
Love you card ideas but you are so slow, sometimes just need to see how you do it a bit quicker please
Hi, Judy. The majority of the feedback I get is that people like being able to work along with me. I appreciate that my pace is too slow for others but hopefully that's when the fast forward button gets a workout. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
Lovely
Many thanks, Carmen. xx
