    Solid tutorial on dealing with futures contracts, going live with strategies, and tracking their progress. I've been in the SIM for a year and a half... yeah I'm a slow starter but a strong finisher, so this is one of the final essential pieces of the puzzle for me. I'm building additional workspaces starting tonight. Thanks !!

    I need to check this out, I’m a bit old school. Quite common with this sector though

      Yes - it's a great platform. There are quite a few other good ones (Multicharts, NinjaTrader, Genesis)...but we get the most questions about TradeStation.

    Dave, thanks for posting this video. I have been using MultiCharts 64-bit for a few years.
    Yes, MultiCharts and TradeStation definitely share some similarities but they also each have their own individual twists and turns. So, by you posting this video to UA-cam, it has informed me on how to quickly get set up for trading when using the April 2022 Peak 10 strategy workspace files.

      @@PeakTradingResearch Thanks Dave. For me, it would be great ... actually essential ... to see the same video made for the perfect MultiCharts desktop setup, including how to set up the TradeStation data feed into MultiCharts and on the Peak Algo strategies, and mapping of the symbols for trading these Peak 10 strategies on an alternative broker to TradeStation. Thanks.

      @@PeakTradingResearch Dave, do you also perhaps have the 2-chart workspace file mentioned in the video as a template that we can use, one file for TS and one file for MultiCharts? BTW, thanks for your email support for the Peak 10 strategies.

      @@scotthemmings3358 Hi Scott - To add any chart to a workspace just add another chart from the File -> New Application - Chart Analysis. This way you can group strategies together that follow the same strategy or market.

      @@PeakTradingResearch Dave, what do you recommend as a reliable source for the front-month contract information so that we newbs know when to move on to trading the next contract? Or, is this something that can be set up as a table within TradeStation on its own workspace?

    Thanks, my Question, it is not clear if the strategy can send orders to the market directly. Can it send directly?

    Thanks Dave that was really interesting,
    I have two questions:
    1- you matched the position manually because you were late ?
    2- suppose we have a long term trade that would surpass the expiration date of the contract, we should change manually the trade for the next contract or is there a way to set and forget?
    Thanks again!

    • @PeakTradingResearch
      @PeakTradingResearch  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Khaled - 1.) Exactly. I turned on the system, but still had to manually execute to "catch up" - TS will recognize that once the contract is traded. 2.) For long-term positions you'll need to update the system to the newest contract on the roll *and* trade out of your contract to match the new system contract...for example selling July and buying August. Hope that helps.

      @@PeakTradingResearch Hi! Thinking of signing up to trade your strategies. If the system was already on, will TS automatically initiate the the position? If I am remote, will it still execute?

    It takes a lot of effort to develop a continual profitable auto trading system.
    If you think you can dial up any of the stock strategies, optimize them and make $ forever you have another thing coming.
    It’s easy to make money in a trending market with many of the strategies, but you can lose a lot in ranging markets as well.

    • @PeakTradingResearch
      @PeakTradingResearch  Рік тому +3

      @jovellebennett9597 micros would be a good option for you. The S&P 500 micro E-mini (symbol @MES) has a notional value of ~$20,000, so 1/10 the notional value of the bigger S&P Mini. If the S&P 500 index goes +/- 10 points, the @MES contract will make or lose +/-$50.

    Hi
    Please what is the name of the strategy.?

    • @PeakTradingResearch
      @PeakTradingResearch  2 роки тому +1

      Scylla - Scylla and Charybdis were mythical sea monsters noted by Homer; Greek mythology cited them on opposite sides of the Strait of Messina between Sicily and Calabria, on the Italian mainland. Scylla was rationalized as a rock shoal (described as a six-headed sea monster) on the Calabrian side of the strait and Charybdis was a whirlpool off the coast of Sicily. They were regarded as maritime hazards located close enough to each other that they posed an inescapable threat to passing sailors; avoiding Charybdis meant passing too close to Scylla and vice versa. According to Homer's account, Odysseus was advised to pass by Scylla and lose only a few sailors, rather than risk the loss of his entire ship in the whirlpool. (Wikipedia)

      It's not in the TradeStation strategy library - it's a strategy from our library. Email us and we'll send it to you.
