Do a 520 chain conversion with -1 tooth front sprocket and +1 on the back and the dead spot at low RPM disappears. It basically sling shots at about 7000RPM 👍
Does doing that change effect your speedo readings? I just bought a 06 fz6 and confirmed my speedo is reading a little fast. I'm wondering if someone already changed the sprockets on mine.
it's 3diffrent bikes. nothing in the low end then somthing kicks in in the mid rpm and then again somthing kicks in in the higher rpms. going from low to mid RPM it's allredy a diffrent bike. and then mid to high again a whole diffrent bike

Never under estimate a fazer 600, I've had two and maybe number three on way, its not a starter machine, great versatile bike, ideal for older riders, over 600 like my BMW F800 ST with luggage is heavy. @@kaihartmann924 Hard to say because bikes have moved on so much from then. It depends on what you value. For a four cylinder that’s comfortable and practical, yeah it’s definitely still one of the best.
@@mindspinn311 absolutely. Bikes have come a long way, and everyone has different preferences. I feel like the performance, styling and ergos of the fz6 are great for the price. I'm only 20, and was looking at MT-07s too but they were just too expensive to justify compared to what the fz6 could do.
The FZ6 is a better overall bike by far than the R6. At least the average Joe can ride the FZ6 for more than 30 miles without being crippled like you would be on an R6. More miles to a tank of gas and better all day riding position with better wind protection than the Ricky racer R6, I've had both and the FZ6 is just a better bike for people that actually ride their motorcycles
I have owned 2 of these, great bikes, easy maintenance, very reliable. Current one has 36k miles on it, only issue has been batteries every 3 years or so. Comfortable to ride for 500 miles in a day.
Soooooo sad my fz6 got totaled out when I got rear ended sitting at a red light after a month of ownership. I replaced it with a mt09 but my fz6 fazer will always be the one that got away....
Would anyone recommend the FZ6 as a decent upgrade for someone coming from a Ninja 300? I want an upgrade that’s not too crazy, but a little faster and still easy to maneuver like my Ninja.
Yoooo I'm getting a custom 2014 FZ6R tomorrow!! I'm excited it's got the fender eliminator and exhaust already done with a big ass side pipe its clean as hell and I got lucky whoever had it babied it it's only got 8k miles on it for almost 10 years old
i know this is a overdue comment, but would this be a good bike for me a commuter instead of the r6. still has power and i was looking for comfort too.
Did 1000 miles in a day on my FZ6. I was definitely hurting at the end of it and took 2 days for the return trip, but it's doable. I do 200 mile trips pretty regularly on it and they're no sweat at all. That's with the Yamaha comfort seat, though - one of my small complaints about the bike is the stock seat. I upgraded that immediately after my first long trip.
@@nerodia I did my 1100 mile trip in two days. You have me beat there. I rode with the stock seat (I never did mind it), slept it off in a hammock, and hit the road again in the morning. it's surprisingly capable. There are some bikes that can do certain things better, but this one does most things pretty dang well.
Hey man. Thanks for the great review. I am considering a FZ07 to use as a commuter bike for my 40 mile commute on highway. After listening to your review, I realized the speed I would be traveling justified a more stable bike. Thanks. Now I need to hear your review on the honda 450l vs tagging a 450x in South Dakota :)
I've had both and the FZ6 is probably the perfect bike with a little work. Should have done a drag race from a stop. The FZ6 would pull hard on the R6. The R6 is all top end which is great for the track but if you live in the real world the FZ is the better bike. If you get the FZ6 flashed and dyno tuned it's a different animal. The computer is restricted and the throttle bodies don't open all the way from the factory (that goes for both of them). The factory suspension is pretty low end but if you have the forks/shock revalved with Racetech gold valves and resprung it becomes perfect for not a ton of money. The forks have no adjustability but you can replace the top caps with preload adjusters. I just wish it had split seats, my tail bag won't fit on the rear of the banana seat and it doesn't look as cool. The R6 is a crappy street bike in comparison. It just looks cooler.
I got a 2006 fz6 in 2013, it’s got a full scorpion race exhaust, dyno tuned power commander(100 hp to the wheel), stiffer springs up front with adjustable top fork tube caps, heavier fork oil, and stainless steel braided brake lines up front, I also lowered the front 10mm. The thing has 38k miles and it’s a beast and super reliable. I have a Suzuki 2015 GSXS-750 too that I ride daily, and the FZ6 is crazy compared to it. The Suzuki is so mellow compared to the FZ6. The Suzuki is easy to just cruise on, the FZ6 wants to kill you, but I love it. It’s like riding unhinged dirt bike. The FZ6 is a great bike for not a lot of money.
FZ07 is a parallel twin, FZ09 is a I-3. And i disagree the FZ6 is a beginner's bike. I've roasted CBR600RRs to 60mph and 100mph and he finally caught me at 120mph. The low and mid torque really pulls better. Beginner's bike would be a 250-500cc which tends to be an insurance class around 49hp (500cc) whereas the FZ6 is 98hp (600cc).
Ive owned a zzr1100 which is not a beginner’s bikes and rode several super sports bikes periodically. I can agree with you and say the fz6 is in no way a beginner’s bike. You need to be careful with the throttle every time you take off.
I owned one of these exact bikes and rode it for 50k mi.!!! It’s actually based on the 2004 R6S, so it does have some of that supersport character, with street ergos. Today I ride a Honda CB 1000R, more grunt down low! But both handle well for street riding, supersport bikes are better track weapons, but not as comfortable for a daily ride.
I totally believe it. I have 42k miles (and climbing) on mine and I've never taken a wrench to it. Just basic maintenance and it's still as good as it was when I bought it.
Good bike's good video. Would class my self as above average rider. Can smoke most big bikes on 250 2 stroke. On twisty roads. Bigger more powerful bike not always best learn on. Some 20+ year's back had rd 350 ypvs 80 hp tuned up wish I could get my hands on one now! Got couple 250s and 1000cc now love small ones much more fun and forgiving 🙏
Hey, thanks for the review. I got myself an SV1000S and now I'm considering a more upright inline four bike that is fun at slower speeds, has a softer suspension and gives out this sweet sporty soundtrack. Mine seems really uncomfortable at city speeds and its natural velocity is overwhelming for me as a new rider. I actually really liked what I saw here. How would you say FZ1 stacks up against FZ6 from city speeds up to 100 mph? Would FZ1 seem overwhelming as well? Thanks
The generation 1 vs generation 2 are very different. The gen 1 is much more comfy than the gen 2, but carburetored. I'd ditch the sv for an fz1. Plus the motors can last for 200,000 miles if maintained. If you want my email I'd be happy to drop you more info.
This is NOT an entry level bike!!!!!! The acceleration is what most people enjoy in bikes and with this bike you can only enjoy 1st gear acceleration under reasonable speeds especially in the city.(not to mention the "hole" in power at low revs.(unsafe overtake)). I find bigger displacement 2 cylinder engines far more safe and playful (i.e TDM900).
I think the fz6 is alot closer to the r6 than he was trying to portray.. literally couldn't give the fz6 1 compliment without basically saying "but the r6 is still better" every single time. Smh
I know im a bit late for this video, BUT!, i own the 2007 S1 Version, and i did 200+ km in a single tank with no problems at all, this bike is quite a machine, and sadly i will sell it, bacause someone else did payed what i asked, but still no regrets, this bike is beautifully fast, comfortable, and incredibly cheap to mantain.
I have that exact bike (2009, same black) the bike you're riding sounds different because the exhaust is not stock, mine still has the original. I got mine 2 years ago with only 8k miles, and it's now up to 25k. It's got more power but less torque than the FZ07. The FZ6R engine was tuned down a little as well, that's got about the same power as the FZ07, I think 67 vs 76. So now I'm waiting a couple years until I can get a new FZ09 used with a few miles on it don't want one from the first couple years, heard too much about the twitchy handling and wheelie all the time ride, but at least I'm not suffering in the meantime!
Was thinking about selling my DRZ400SM and getting an FZ07 but I changed my mind at the last minute because I just love this bike too much so thinking about buying something cheap and used instead and hence I'm looking at the FZ6. What's a decent price for it and what are the other options for a used naked bikes?
Depending on where you're at, a pretty good price from what I've seen is about $3000 or so for a used 2007-2009 bike with ok mileage. Don't be dissuaded by high mileage on these bikes, just make sure that if it has above 24,000 miles that valves were adjusted. I'm also moving on from a dual sport and was looking at the sv650 or honda cb500f but for value, this bike seems much better!
Thanks Searching to buy my bike at 44!!! Always in my list but never had the opportunity to do it.. I live in montreal... Cost to have a bike here is crazy stupid.. You have to pay a course of 800 Then past a test to get a restricted license and after a year a final test to have your full license.. Also, The cost of the license of 120 per year and the plaque that for a FZ06 is 660 vs a 1400 for a R6.. Thanks for the tips i will go for the FZ06 i like to touring more than sport ride..
I have a Supermoto but having to just cruise all the time gets old. I want to be able to haul ass without my bike blowing up so I’m looking into an r6 or an FZ6
yesterday was my first day of riding a 600cc bike , its an fz6 from 2004 , i really wanted an R6 to be my first big bike but i gotta say im quite amazed by fz6 too , im a noob and many ppl in forums would say that fz6 is the best noob bike so here i am haha , also its cheap to get and maintain , cant wait for my first big trip to see how it feels :D
Mine was astonishingly affordable and perfectly reliable. Maintenance costs are low, it sips on 87 octane, and it has a center stand. With 42k miles on the odometer, it's the cheapest all around vehicle that I've ever owned and my favorite to drive. I toured an 1100 mile road trip without becoming a cripple, so it has a clear advantage over traditional crotch rockets. If you're inexperienced, you will have to show discipline to not ask the bike for more power. It's never underpowered, but with the tachometer under 9k, it's very well-mannered. It should be fine for you if you have the discipline for it. I bought mine as my second bike and I think it fills that role nicely. I still have it even now with somewhere around 50k miles of riding experience across different bikes. Keep the shiny side up and don't be afraid to slow down and enjoy the ride.
Bought my first bike a few months ago: a used '04 FZ6. High miles but previous owners kept a log book of all service done. I use it as a daily commuter and it does great. The power could easily get you into trouble, but it's a plus on the freeway. Does yours give a "clunk" when dropping into first from neutral? I've heard its normal.
@@PCDoctorUSA yea man its quite normal , most motorbikes do it too , also i had my first trip this summer , it was like 800km , amazing feeling , take care man and enjoy your bike to the max :D

As a uninformed newb what factors come into play with insurance cost? Is it displacement, number cylinders, etc? What is the perfect "baller on a budget" bike when it comes to factoring in cost to operate including maintenance, insurance?
DJ Nomad Are you just starting? Or have you been riding for a little? I'm only asking because I'm about to do some research for ya, and it'll help narrow down what I'm looking for 👍
As far as insurance goes, honestly your best bet is go talk to an insurance agent about the different factors and variables that come into play. That being said, a supersport like the R6 will be more expensive to insure than the FZ6 would be. Not only is the R6 in this video more powerful, it's also newer, and supersports in general get wrecked pretty frequently. I'm FAR from an expert though, so again, probably be best to talk to an agent about it.
As far as budget baller bikes go, it'd be REALLY hard to beat a 2nd gen (2003-2008) Suzuki SV650. Super easy to maintain, tons of parts support available, tons of aftermarket stuff available, totally bulletproof engine, and from what I hear from a few friends, the insurance isn't bad at all on them. And they come in a style too. The standard naked bike, the "S" which has a little half fairing and clip-ons instead of the standard handle bars, and in only 2008, the "SF" which is the same as the "S", but instead of a half fairing, it has a full sportbike fairing on it. The Yamaha FZ6 that Sean is on wouldn't be bad option either, I just don't know quite as much about them :)
I'm 41 yr old, haven't rode anything on street above a 50cc scooter. Rode a few dirt bikes a long time ago and have ridden several 3/4 wheelers with the fastest being a banshee. Just spent 4 yrs taking care of gramps keeping him out of a nursing home and aunt had him put away so she can spend his money leaving me to borrow to get a mustang which the tranny went out 2nd day having it. I'm looking to get a bike to use when weather is right and for a backup after I get this tranny put in. I may end up with a lot of money after I take aunt to court and may end up president of brokenicca.com lol. Just figured I would ask the question so everyone that reads this could know the best route to take if wanting to get on 2 wheels for the cheapest $. Thanks, I appreciate your knowledge/time etc.
I own one of these. I've ridden bigger bikes, but around town, or light touring, it's nearly perfect. The reason I haven't gotten rid of it is because I can't find a reason to. I've got 30k on it and it still runs great.
You are on an fz6r..right? BIG difference between the r version and the standard fz6 is the R has less hp and torque than the fz6. The R is rated around 78 or so hp, and the standard fz6 is around 93 hp. That's huge
This bike is far from an entry level bike. If keeping the rpms below the power band makes it entry level then all bikes could be considered entry level. Ive owned a 2004 and now i currently own a 2008 that looks exactly the same as this one including the pipes and its more bike then most people will ever need. Super fun bike. Super cheap to buy and insure. One of the best bikes to come out of the mid-late 2000s in terms of sound and fun.
the best kept secret of the bike world is the model that sits in between these two called the yzf600r which is a more sports spec than the fazer and more touring than the R6 makes it a very capable comfortable bike that is a great all rounder using the full fat version of the fazer engine with 100bhp and a full fairing it’s the perfect daily ride. i paid 850 pounds for mine and it has been so reliable quick and comfortable i can’t think of anything that could replace it for twice as much money

I ride mainly two stroke dirt bikes and can confirm that it rides somewhat similar. Two strokes pull really hard for a very short peak rpm. The FZ6 is a split personality bike. Under 7000 it rides like a 250 or 500. Above 8k it is like a wider power band two stroke.

"Don't be that guy who's bustin' out the wicked schemes"...love that paraphrase, Sean. Love the vids, love the words of wisdom, keep them coming. Ride safe.
This video made me go out and buy a 2017 fz6r. Gorgeous bike. Fast enough that I live another day
Fz6r I heard is a cheaped out version of the fz6 so be careful about that. Why not just a fz6n
I had one, a 2007 red. It was my first bike. I never fully enjoyed it or appreciated it as much as I should have, and I wish I could have it back.
Thank you so much for this video i will show it to my parents on how safe it is and how affordable it is
Did you end up getting the Fz6R
Do a 520 chain conversion with -1 tooth front sprocket and +1 on the back and the dead spot at low RPM disappears. It basically sling shots at about 7000RPM 👍
My buddy did a -1 front +2 back and it felt sooooo much better when I rode it afterward.
Does doing that change effect your speedo readings? I just bought a 06 fz6 and confirmed my speedo is reading a little fast. I'm wondering if someone already changed the sprockets on mine.
@@125conman all bike speedos read fast. Sorry for the response a year later. Just got an FZ6
It’s a whole different bike when you get above 7,000 rpm.
it's 3diffrent bikes. nothing in the low end then somthing kicks in in the mid rpm and then again somthing kicks in in the higher rpms. going from low to mid RPM it's allredy a diffrent bike. and then mid to high again a whole diffrent bike
@@rampage3337 Damn it screams a different sound after 7000. A new voice. A scary, angry voice. I’ve never taken it above 8000ish. Did you ride it on 12000 rpm’s by any chance? Any good? Sorry late reply.

I’ve never watched before but man I can’t say how refreshing it was to hear it start off with some scripture 💙
I switched from a r1 to a fz6r and man my back feels so much better and a fuxk tone of power
You would have more power with a fz6 vs your fz6r.
I love the FZ6 ♥️
The Inja it’s a great bike.
Never under estimate a fazer 600, I've had two and maybe number three on way, its not a starter machine, great versatile bike, ideal for older riders, over 600 like my BMW F800 ST with luggage is heavy. Good point gear change indicator really helpful, I managed to buy a great one for my old fazer big display,
I had a 2007 FZ6 as my first bike. I never fully appreciated it and was quick to move onto the next. Maybe one day I’ll pick one up to see if it was as good as I remember.
Currently have an '04 FZ6 as my first street bike. To me it honestly seems like the best-value bike you could possibly buy today (tied with the older Suzuki SV-650s)
Love my FZ6. 2005 I've had for 4 years, still plenty of fun every time I ride.
Fz6 is more fun, and i own a 2008 R6 i miss my Fz6 so much
The FZ6 is a better overall bike by far than the R6.
Hell yeah man! It's good to see gotten so high in mileage I'm picking mine up tomorrow it's a modded 2014 FZ6-R with only 8k on the dash 🙌🙌
Just got off my 06 fz6 I love it but I just bought a z125 and I'm loving cruising around on that now in town
I’ve had my ‘02 FZ1 a couple years, but my Condor 150 is a blast to ride in town as well. It’s a all-drag race at every light with 11hp lol.
"Don't be that guy who's bustin' out the wicked schemes" *does 90 in a 25* LOL. Jokes aside great video as always. Earned a sub.
I’m about 5.7 1/2 5.8 would i fit comfortably
Words of wisdom…don’t read a sticky note on your tank while you ride 😆
Soooooo sad my fz6 got totaled out when I got rear ended sitting at a red light after a month of ownership. I replaced it with a mt09 but my fz6 fazer will always be the one that got away....
Would anyone recommend the FZ6 as a decent upgrade for someone coming from a Ninja 300? I want an upgrade that’s not too crazy, but a little faster and still easy to maneuver like my Ninja.
Your going to have 98 hp. Compared to?
Under 7k rpm it'll feel quite a bit faster than your 300. But up to 14k, it's a whole world of difference, in terms of speed.
Youll be ok i started in one of these
You get the fz6?
I love my Fz6 2005 model, I bought it as a second hand
I have the chance to buy a used 2004 FZ6, do I go for it?
So what bike would you buy with your own money to ride around neighborhood and out in the country near ones house if it was the only bike you had?
Yoooo I'm getting a custom 2014 FZ6R tomorrow!! I'm excited it's got the fender eliminator and exhaust already done with a big ass side pipe its clean as hell and I got lucky whoever had it babied it it's only got 8k miles on it for almost 10 years old
i know this is a overdue comment, but would this be a good bike for me a commuter instead of the r6. still has power and i was looking for comfort too.
Parker Forry yes yes yes. I used my fz6 to commute 40+ miles per day and it was amazing.
Yes, it's perfect for commuting
So Sean did 0-60 in about 4 secs, impressive.
Hi
Is it a good bike to learn on?
650 versys should fit the bill.
V Strom 650 may be good, too
Just bought a 96 fz6r! I can't wait to get her running so I can build her how I want
So much grunt down low. I couldn’t get over how angry it sounded down low from the very get-go.
Those roads looked familiar to me, then saw your licence plate and the 717 🤣
Iq owned this bike its fun. would do 70 in 1st gear when pushing it and could wheelie without useing clutch in 1st gear. Sold it and moved to cruisers
2005 fz6 for 2k @ 80k miles? Good buy?
Good bike's good video. Would class my self as above average rider. Can smoke most big bikes on 250 2 stroke. On twisty roads. Bigger more powerful bike not always best learn on. Some 20+ year's back had rd 350 ypvs 80 hp tuned up wish I could get my hands on one now! Got couple 250s and 1000cc now love small ones much more fun and forgiving 🙏
Small bikes are more fun than most people will ever realize.
@@westondifranco9313 yeah, I'd like to chat more
I'm looking at a 2006 FZ6 tomorrow......................
Nice vid!
I have a 09 fz6 black just like this one but I did alot of customizing to mine. Love it
Did you get it yet and how much did you pay?
This is NOT an entry level bike!!!!!! The acceleration is what most people enjoy in bikes and with this bike you can only enjoy 1st gear acceleration under reasonable speeds especially in the city.(not to mention the "hole" in power at low revs.(unsafe overtake)).
I find bigger displacement 2 cylinder engines far more safe and playful (i.e TDM900).
That FZ6R is the direct competition for my Z750S. Both are great bikes.
It's not an FZ6R, it's an FZ6, those are completely different bikes (the FZ6R is a XJ6 with fairing).
750s having 100+hp over the fz6r's 80
I think the fz6 is alot closer to the r6 than he was trying to portray.. literally couldn't give the fz6 1 compliment without basically saying "but the r6 is still better" every single time. Smh
U mad u dont own a R6?
@@Charmarque I wouldn’t swap mine for the r6, or for the cbr1000
Nice bike...good for long distance...comfortable and relax..l like to see u do wheelie the bike ...
What exhaust is that ? Sounds nice !!
On the speedometer in miles or kilometers?
Thanks
Searching to buy my bike at 44!!!
Always in my list but never had the opportunity to do it..
I live in montreal...
Cost to have a bike here is crazy stupid..
You have to pay a course of 800
Then past a test to get a restricted license and after a year a final test to have your full license..
Got the fz6.i love it ! It's fast enough..
yesterday was my first day of riding a 600cc bike , its an fz6 from 2004 , i really wanted an R6 to be my first big bike but i gotta say im quite amazed by fz6 too , im a noob and many ppl in forums would say that fz6 is the best noob bike so here i am haha , also its cheap to get and maintain , cant wait for my first big trip to see how it feels :D

I've got 30k on it and it still runs great.
yea the fz07 is a parallel twin its the fz09 you are thinking of that has the triple
yes sorry my mistake
I love my FZ6 best all around bike! 💯👌
the best kept secret of the bike world is the model that sits in between these two called the yzf600r which is a more sports spec than the fazer and more touring than the R6 makes it a very capable comfortable bike that is a great all rounder using the full fat version of the fazer engine with 100bhp and a full fairing it’s the perfect daily ride. i paid 850 pounds for mine and it has been so reliable quick and comfortable i can’t think of anything that could replace it for twice as much money
I have one and it's nice but drawbacks are heavy steel frame and carburetors vs injected. Also are known to strip the front sprocket nut off
So it pulls from 4000 not 7000. How is this a beginners bike? Firstly it’s too heavy for a beginner.
i just traded a harley sportster 883 for a 2012 fz6. on my way back i got pulled over for going 65 in a 25. i was in second gear. i’m not used to that.
Bruh I just got a 2014 clean title 14k miles for 1k in cali 😂😂😂 crazy huh
I think im gonna get a bike from you. you seem credible.
How’s this compare to the fz8
Guys I want your opinion.. Im trying out shoes, and I know, comfy, good quality and all that. But is the Alpinestars waterproof faster 3 a "to sporty look" for the fz 2? I know i shouldnt care what others think, but I wanna know what shoes you guys ride with! Ride safe!
(This is my first pair of shoes)
I heard if you modify/change the restricter in the throttle body it's basically the same bike since it has the same engine as a r6? Maybe a ecu refresh as well
I think the r6 has different cams
Is it a good engine to put on a yamaha raptor?
what year is this Fz6
Nice video m8..
Can you remember what exhaust is under the bike? Sounds Great
nevermind , i found it at 4.15 ;-)
Hi Srkcycles, will you make a review on the XJ6 2009 onwards model :) that would be awesome !
hey I have a question what camera do you use. I want to start bike ride videoing but do you use the cameras mic or do you use a separate mic lmk thanks!
Suspension? What kind of adjustability does it have?
Pre-load on the rear shock. Non adjustable front.
Up to 7 adjustment levels, making the rear suspension harder or softer. The bike comes with a special wrench as well to adjust that
how is this bike for tall riders I am 6"3 myself?
Martin A My brother who is 6’ 3” just bought one and fits well. Obviously it is still a little bit tight because bikes are not built for y’all people but still not bad.

6'6" here, and had no problems on the bike.
U are right about gear indicator..
Is this bike still available
90mph in a 25 zone ooooo lol
Just bought an fz6. Insurance is 240/year. Quote for an equivalent R6 was over 2000 lol
Ain't that something? I loved my FZ6. My insurance was similar. I think maybe closer to $400 a year but still cheap. Thought I'd get a used FZ-09 to go with and was quoted $250 to $300 a month. Um, no thanks🤔
Does anyone know if this bike better than the Kawasaki ninja 500r?
10 times better
I've owned both hands down the FZ6
Where did you get that cover that goes over the handlebars it almost looks like risers but with the cover on top
I own the fz1 and it has the same motor the r1 has? Don’t know much about the 600 but would think the same?
They use the previous generation R1 and R6 motors. They also tune it differently, and have it geared for more street use.
Good day , great looking bike . I'm in sebring Florida and I'm looking for a new bike , I had to sell my bike during the peak of the pandemic to pay bills. I'm doing a little bit better now financially and my 12 year old son has been bugging me to get another bike , he misses riding with me .
I get paid on Thursday, paired with the money I have saved I'll have about 1500 bucks , I'd be happy to pay 1500 and give payments for the rest , I have 2 great jobs at a golf course I'm 45 years old too grey to play games with folks . I just want to get back on 2s my little guy misses our bonding time going on solo and group rides .
Thank you for your time . Have a great day .
hey man would you consider this to be on the similar level of starter bikes like the ninja 650 because my friend has a ninja 400 that ive road multiple times i would love a lil more power but i love the sound of the fz6r. If u think its too much for a starter on a street bike (ive road dirtbikes till this day) but i know the street is different,, please get back to me and let me know your opinion.
*GREAT video !* 👍😉
Are the fz6 like two strokes in the sense of power delivery?
I ride mainly two stroke dirt bikes and can confirm that it rides somewhat similar. Two strokes pull really hard for a very short peak rpm. The FZ6 is a split personality bike. Under 7000 it rides like a 250 or 500. Above 8k it is like a wider power band two stroke.
I have an 08, love its jeckle n hyde personality. Tame as a kitten under 6k..beast over 8k till 14k. I went down 1 tooth front n up 1 rear..Beast!
Why does the fz6 sound like it has a turbo with pop off valve? Mine doesn't :p
Must be the custom Akrapovich exhaust pipe at 4:16.
My OEM exhaust system is also very quiet.
