This is just great. Hard to have pictured a synthesizer legend looking like a kid in a candy store, discovering the prophet sound all these years later. Especially considering nobody mastered the Roland Jupiter 8 better than Howard did. Unfortunately, I was born in the late 80s and never saw him play the JP8 live , but these are the kind of questions i've pondered for 15+ years - What does Howard Jones still think about these legendary instruments? Of course he's a big fan of Synthesizer Patel! This is a reference to a great British show called Look Around You, which is hard to describe... basically it's an extremely funny, sort of poker-faced parody of educational films from the early 80s. I have a Dave Smith Mopho se and it is lovely, although as one reviewer put it, it's a little like a monosynth that really wants to be a polysynth, although in fact you can do that with it by hooking up a Tetra to make it five voice.
