The show gave a unique insight on what goes on BTS during US campaign trails.
I thought I was a well informed citizen, but after watching GOTB I noticed areas where I could be more invested in.
Thanks to the writers/everyone involved in making the show; it came at a time when we really needed more political awareness in the US.
I love Melissa Benoist
I think there's a lot to be proud of. Acting since the age of 12. I know I didn't have my stuff together until I was solidly in my mid 20s. Glee, Whiplash, Lowriders, The Longest Ride, Danny Collins, Band of Robbers, being the lead of a series, numerous commercial spots, Broadway, being able to sing/dance/act. Overcoming a challenging personal saga. Numerous successful interviews. A Paramount+ mini-series. I'm just not sure a series on Max: adapted from a book about a condescending rightfully deeply unpopular Hillary Clinton, repeating establishment neoliberal propaganda, and mainstream media talking points about journalism and politics - was ever going to resonate with audiences in 2016 let alone in 2024. Being an enjoyable or an informative series is a KPI much further out of reach. Write this one off because there is nothing in this one.
