My favorite cookies to make 😋 I make about 20 dozen cookies each Christmas. I have 11 grandkids and 3 daughters it's something I have done for over 20 years. I also make other goodies too. I start early making the dough then freeze it until ready to bake. I won't be doing as much this year I just got out of the hospital with Acute heart failure so going to be taking it easy this year maybe making a couple kinds then calling it quits until next year.

Then next year once in better shape need to get a pain pump my back is pushing in towards my stomach causing terrible pain and muscle spasms I can't hardly walk. Hopefully the pump will give me a little relief. I'm 63 just need a break I have had back problems since I was 13. Been a rough life. But I don't stop trying to feel better keep a smile no matter how much pain I'm in. God bless you 🙏❤. Hope your Christmas is wonderful. Happy New year too.❤🙏

It's hard sometimes feel so alone then hear of others in so much worst shape than I am and tell myself what are you complaining about. Especially young children going through cancer treatments so strong such fighter's and I know I can make it through another day even though it's a really hard one. You sound so strong. You ever want to talk message me anytime on messenger my Facebook has the mitochondria disease symbol on it my 13 year old granddaughter died 2 years ago from it. She sure was a strong little girl spent so much of her life in the hospital. Never got to eat food. She had a trach and feeding tube. Had cerebral palsy as well. She loved everyone even though she could only say a few words she wanted your attention she went HEY at the top of her lungs people would turn around to see who did it and say were you talking to me and she would hit her head up and down several times with the biggest smile on her face. She sure was a sweet little girl. Miss her every second of the day 😢. God bless you 🙏❤ you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year 😊 ❤ and please if you ever want to talk just message me anytime. Since home 24/7 always home incase have a doctor's appointment. I live in Texas and these cookies are called snowball or Mexican wedding cookies depending on who is making them and what they fell like calling them. Either way, I am NOT offended by either one, all I know is they taste damn good. I'm seventy years old a have far more things to worry about then what a cookie is called. 🌟I Just had a thought,maybe you could dunk them in melted white semi sweet chocolate and then roll them in white powdered sugar they will look more like snow balls yum! 😋

I love making these this time of the year and jelly thumbprint cookies. Have you ever seen a danish dough whisk? It’s supposed to help with all types of dough and it’s easier to clean than a regular whisk. I hope you and your family have a very merry Christmas 🎄
We called these Russian tea cakes. We had a couple black walnut trees on our property, so plenty of nuts available. Their one of my favorites, don’t add in and anise or cardamom. I like them pure, just like Amy’s recipe.
I use King Arthur's flour also, Amy. I have the best of baking experience with it..the baking flour is great for bread. For cookies the all purpose works out nice. Thank you, for sharing you snowballs cookies. Merry Christmas to you all..:)
