Me and dad we plan to start an automotive shop in Finland this year, he is a mechanic for more than 25 years expert of European and american cars. I think this is a good business especially for non Finns there.
Sorry to hear about that! I can see you're really frustrated and you've been extremely patient. I've changed CV axles before myself (same as CV joint but the whole piece). Usually when they make noises it's just the rubber boot is torn and the grease came out, so now its the bare knuckle making noises. It's usually still ok to drive until they get the part, Unless something is broken. Of course let the shop confirm this. Also, I think Motonet may have the cv joints in stock or can get them transferred from another store. This only a 100-250 euro part for both sides. A mechanic could change it in 1-2 hours. I recommend Michael's Garage Oy, if you're ever in Espoo. They changed my rear brakes they next day done and they had to pickup the part. I know there must be Jeep compass cv axles somewhere in Finland. Italy isn't even that far from Finland, it should take 2 weeks max. It almost better to cancel and get another shop who has the parts to change it right away. Hope the part comes soon.
Italians own a large part of the Fiat Chrysler company. Italians know how to make good wine, but they don't manage companies. (Mafia's fault) You shouldn't buy original spare parts. I would probably have gotten a replacement spare quite quickly. Give feedback and claim part of the discount quickly. Voimia!
The sender provides tracking information so the blame is probably mostly on the Italy factory. Would'nt be the first time when ordering something from Italy when the customer service and deadlines fail. Hope you get your car fixed soon.
I might have some perspective for this. First, lucky you to get English service, this is not happening here in Germany. We foreigners are many times really suffering here because of language, we are always last in queue. Second, currently spare supply chain is really difficults and this is not Finland problem. I believe this might be something to do spare part awailibity. Have to also remember that Finland is just tiny market, only something like 1-2% of european vehicles are in Finland. I have been working in Automotive industry in sevaral positions, mainly here in Germany.
I understand this, I already suspected covid might have something to do…however I have been told this problems existed pre-covid. But, I don’t know myself. I would say the most annoying thing hasn’t been just the waiting, but the lack of response regarding: the waiting reason, the order status, has it been sent? After sending it what is the ETA?, is it sent by plane? Boat? And is now soon 9 weeks, you know how many callbacks I have got from them in this 9 weeks after calling to ask for information and them saying they will call me back? = 0 calls. I am even embarrassed to call anymore to ask for information. As a bonus: I asked them if they would buy the car themselves, and they said yes, but you have to bring the car so we can check it…..and I was: man…the car has been there for weeks. And they said: oh ok, we will check it to evaluate a price and call you back….. 4 days passed and nothing, so I went there in person and they said: oh yeah the evaluation, no one called you? And again I was: nope. So this seems systemic…
@@diego.suomessa Opel. It took over a month to order one AC tube, so I politely asked them to shove that tube up their ass when it arrives. A regular repair shop handled the same thing in 2 days
A thought, you went to the dealer who will not use non-original parts, so that's why you have to now wait however long it takes to get an OEM part? I hope you get your car fixed soon!
@@diego.suomessa I had my car stuck in a similar situation for a few weeks at a car repair shop in Espoo, for a plastic trim piece that was impossible to find OEM of otherwise, I can feel your pain...
I am ex-pat Finn living in Australia and Jeep has a terrible reputation here. My friend hit a kangaroo with his Jeep and it took 9 months for the parts to come from overseas so they could fix it. I also hit a kangaroo with my VW Amarok pick up and the parts took 6 weeks to arrive, fortunately I could still drive the VW, the Jeep was totally stuffed & off the road at the panel shop for the 9 months. As a side note they are now selling RAM pick-ups here and they also have no parts available for them - this is according to my mechanic. I think the supply chain issues and also labour issues have not been fixed since lockdown BS happened. So I am not surprised by your parts issue. It also took three weeks to get a pump for my washing machine - and the part was already in Australia! In Australia at the moment - it's three weeks to get your car serviced, get a plumber, electrician or parts in general for your washing machine. 12 months for any building work, no builders available. Best of luck with your Jeep issues.
Man, that sounds bad, well I can tell you that I know now that Delta Auto has been having these issues way before the pandemic disrupted the supply chains according to the comments I have been getting
Diego I'm sorry for you that you have to put up with this type of crap! It's totally companies responsibility to order new part if they offered to fix your car! It's totally ignorance from the company side to give any correct answers to your questions. The part is very easy to order on efter marke sites. I order parts occasionally to my older cars even from China without any issues with deliveries in timely manner!
@@diego.suomessa Yeah, when they still had a shop in this city they kept getting bad reputation nonstop, nearly every customer had a negative experience. I see its still a thing in that company, no matter where the shop is. 😅

I have similar experiences with that company. Never again, a regular auto repair shop would have done it in less than a week.
Was it also a Jeep?

OP Insurance asked me to use their trusted partners (LänsiAuto) to replace my stolen exhaust pipe. It took me almost the whole summer for the job 😢
Yes, I also used Delta at first in 2020 because the insurance directed me to do. Back then I was ”lucky” it took 6 weeks only

Never ever deal with delta, they really suck with customer service. This been going on atleast 15 years or something.
I’m starting to realise that by reading all these comments
