I can't believe those bastards flagged your video, thank goodness I am on your email list, maybe go to other platforms. My words just words get blocked in the comments. Your channel has been a great help because I like so many are domesticated and we have very little to no survival skills. I've now been training at this stuff for a few years now. Cleaning and gathering drinking water is one of the most important aspects to all this. My heart breaks with all that is going on. In Ohio in 2020 during my no lockdown, no mask, no social distancing tour gas was $1.88. Just yesterday in a state near Ohio I paid $4.19. This is all by design.
Love your work…could you do some more basic skills videos, like ifac, hunting, fishing……..I’d love to see your take on farming….like chickens and pigs and shit…..god bless
@@HynoDesignsvIII I've been having the same issue with music from live, public events on UA-cam a wicked lot! Example, yesterday 3/5, some friends of mine played out in Greenfield MA. & I wanted to make UA-cam vids like I normally would & have in the past I made an intro & no prob with that, but the 1st "live song" I videod automatically picked up a copyright flag! What stinks is I know some of the folks in the bands I may try & video & they're ok with folks doing vids, it's just UA-cam isn't! UA-cam however violates their own policies in so many different ways it's not even remotely funny & I made some videos to prove this on my channel. I since created an ODYSEE channel the other day & it is a bit to work with but, can be done, it's just anything I make a normal phone cam video of I have to re do via Mobizen or something so it can upload to ODYSEE without an issue, so, got to do sort of a "double vid" just to make a single vid work. Is it aggravating? Hell yes, but, if I want much better content than me messing around with phone app games which's what my channel wasn't originally going to be but became that way once the "kookamonga bug" screwed up a bunch of music venues that I'd work at or music venues I'd sponsor, that's where things went for a bit over 2 years. I've argued with UA-cam to no avail, even by "snail mail" & written "permission" styled things from the folks I would make videos of to share. If I had serious cash, I'd love to take the A holes to court for discrimination & whatever else I could get them for, including the fact of them being as hypocritical as they are with their own policies which, again, can be easily proven.
UA-cam suspended Mr. Salty for asking about wether or not Pooty had taken out 8 bio labs in Ukraine after the US-Ukraine embassy removed info from their website regarding the matter. You can't talk about it or ask questions on UA-cam. You MUST listen to the overlords of MSM or else. 🤣
Corporal is always promoting others channels, shows the kind of character he's got. I hope to see you hit the 1 million mark before summer gets here. As always thanks for making our Sundays just a bit better each week! Great video and see you next weekend.
Another good video. Learned something new, popping a hole in the double walled cup. That's why I keep coming back. After all this time you never fail top deliver some little tip that helps. THANK YOU
I really like seeing the variations on the lean-to builds, and this was awesome using the simple fire reflector/wind screen to box in each side of the tarp lean-to.
OUTSTANDING AF!! Shows that skill is more important than the gear. Loved the fact that he showed you that you don’t need all the fancy stuff to have a decent camp and a great experience!!! Keep them rolling sir!!!
Luv these " store challenges", it shows that a person can survive in an emergency situation with cheap equipment. Was wondering if you would ever do a challenge with "store brand equipment, which is usually the cheapest of cheap stuff. Great video, keep up the good work 👍
Agree! Corporal Kelly is lead instructor at The Pathfinder School. He shows it's not necessarily what you have, but how you use it. Nothing is beneath him!
Was gonna ask to possibly do a video on what should we start out with or essentials for the young ones to go out and experience bushcraft/survival ? Thanks
I really like these "store challenges," because they demonstrate that a person can survive in an emergency situation with very little money. I was wondering if you would ever do a challenge with "store brand" equipment, which is usually the cheapest of the cheap stuff.
When I need to relax I binge some of your videos. I grew up in the deep south with being in the woods in all seasons. All the things you demonstrate are relatable for that warmer climate too so it's like old home week for me. With every video I pick a tip or two I didn't know so thanks for that. I'm about too old to sleep on the ground anymore but I could if I had to. Thanks for all the great videos!!
What an interesting coincidence! Last night & this morning I made a list o Harbor Freightf items which I could use in an emergency overnighter. At one time, Harbor Freight had decent wool-blend blankets for @$10-12 each, but they no longer stock them. I caught the canvas/leathere bottom bucket on sale for under $10. They also have treated canvas tarps at reasonable prices; & Cotton canvas painter's drop cloths which can be used for shelter or cowboy bedroll with the mover's quilt of wool blanket. Other useful items include a variety of natural cordage/ropes; scissors; sewing awl; punch awl; whistle; optics; work gloves; welder's flint torch lighters; & a waterproof poly bonded 4 ft x 12 ft protective runner when painting. Thse make excellent ground cloths! This particular video is ONE OF YOUR BEST & long-awaited by me. I especially liked the roll-up canopy across the front of the shelter. THANKS! P.S Their sectional fatigue mat (which fits together like a jigsaw puzzle) makes a sleep pad & insulates from the cold ground. GREAT VIDEO!
Have several of the canvas buckets from 30+ yrs as an electrician, after watching this video I now have 1000 more “reasons” why I can’t throw them away every time the wife wants to clean our garage!!!! Outstanding AF once again
Great video! I always hope young people will take these ideas to have fun with any gear, they can afford. Knowing the stuff wont last but the learning fun is priceless! 😎👍🏻
This just goes to show how important refining your skills is to survival. The corporal plus $100 with of crap in a bucket equals the gold standard in survival channels. Awesome A.F. again. It's why I never miss a video.
Oustanding video as usual Corporal. How dare UA-cam stop you from educating people on what's really going on. Don't get yourself in trouble as we still need you but continue fighting like you do. You stand for the truth. Reality. Logic of what's going on. Don't ever sway from that it's one of the reasons I follow you so much. Such a honour to watch a true human being, who's not self centred and genuinely cares for others safety. Thank you Corporal 👍 Ps Dave is absolutely amazing Don't get me wrong but I love your videos more. (Sorry Dave the legend. Corporals gaining on you and about to surpass you. 👍
I slept in the back seat of my truck a few winters ago during a trip. I had two of those blankets folded in half laying on the seat and another one used as a cover. 30 degrees outside I was nice and toasty inside without the heat running.
This video is awesome, I just got out of the Air Force stationed in Alaska and when I got to Texas I craved the outdoors life. I’m going for a hike in a couple days, got my backpack, sleeping bag, fishing pole, tent and I’m so ready
Pretty nice setup for the tools used. would work for a bug out situation . Looks like the saw was not bad and stakes for tinder nice work. Thx for sharing
Hey Corporal, liked the idea of using the plastic shavings off the tent peg as a fire starter. Never would have thought of that. Keep up the good work brother!
I don't care if it's cheap. My thoughts on any sort of 'survival gear' is simple, did it work and get the job done. If the answer is yes, who cares where it came from. I've never understood the dislike and outright hatred that some people have had towards Harbor Freight. This was another great video. Sorry to hear about what happen to last weeks one. The stupidity shown by youtube never ceases to amaze me.
Harbor freight has a $12 wooden handle hatchet that is an amazing value. Cody on Wranglerstar pimped his out, but with just a little sharpening it's worthy of riding around in my truck box ..
I'm a former navy guy. Not a Seal lol. Obviously no wilderness, survival training. I think your shows are awesome! I like the style of your shows. You do the job with less talking than some and then explain in an easy way to learn, manner. I already hit like so, here's 4 more thumbs up, to give ya a 5 out of 5, thumbs up! 👍👍👍👍
14:33 That steak looks delicious. Next time I am in Harbor Freight I will look harder for the meat section. The only steaks I have found there in the past have been tent steaks.
Does not matter in the end if it's expensive or cheap equipement. What's important is to have the brains to make it work and save your life. Nice one !!
Outstanding! This week’s takeaway was the bushcraft tweezers to get the coffee cup out of the fire. I was today years old when I learned that. Keep up the fantastic work!
Everytime, without fail, the close captions think your "branch breaking" is "applause". And it makes me laugh every time. I think of it as your audience applauding yet another perfect fire production
I really like Corporals Corner. The Corporal exudes professionalism, if he was leading a team, we would all feel safe! Keep it up corp. Peace be unto you.
I saw and enjoyed last weeks video. In fact I made my first Dakota pit shortly before I watched it. This video was great too. I really like this concept actually, I find it interesting to see what can be done with a budget shopping spree at various stores. Personally I probably would've taken the Buck 119 ripoff over the Rambo knife even tho I dislike cheap ripoffs. The tent stake tinder is a cool idea. I saw Andrew do it a week or so ago, he burned the whole stake actually. I'm subscribed to him and Dave already, the 3 of you are great teachers. Food for thought, I saw Survival Lily scrape a bic lighter and use the shavings from it that the same way. Thank you as always Shawn, God bless you brother.
The continuing beauty of this episode is learning how to be flexible and improvise your way using equipment and materials that are not "name brand". The name brand or where it's made is less important than the hardcore survival knowledge and techniques to make it work! The bonus of course is that juicy RIBEYE on da stick! Thanks Corporal Sir for another enjoyable and education tour!! :O)
Love these “crappy wal-mart-esque gear” style videos corporal! Really shows that you can make something out of nothing even when scraping the bottom of the barrel for equipment haha
Thank you Mr. Kelly for your service. Also thank you for these videos. I really like watching them and learning about how to do a lot more things in the woods. And being more self sufficient. OUTSTANDING BROTHER.
The tent stake shavings was mind blowing!! That was cool AF!!! I never would have thought of that! Totally gonna teach it on the next trip with my son's Boy Scout Troop!! 👍👍🙂🇺🇸⚜️🇺🇸

Very cool ideas. Suggestion: I carry a file and use it to also grind the magnesium block fast for a good pile of metal. Do the same on wood and mix the metal and wood dust for an awesome tinder pile.
Hi Corporal, another outstanding video! It occurred to me, though, that this might be a rare case where all the gear you used is NOT listed on your influencer pages. :^)
I could do this, I have all this stuff. Maybe I will try this once it gets warmer thanks for sharing all your videos. I can not wait for the cabin in the woods.
Dude another epic video! I learn so much from watching you camp. Thanks for sharing man! Hope to be a more efficient outdoorsmen one day dude! Blessings man!
I’ve had 2 of those bucket bags for years. They have held up well. I have 2 of the hatchets with the yellow handle but I wish I had bought the one with the hickory handle instead. If you put the time into sharpening the edge, they are pretty good. I remember you they used to send out coupons to get those tarps for free.
I've been using (beating) that H.F. hatchet around the house and yard for 2 years and found it to be solid and easy to touch up with a 'puck' stone and file. Glad yours worked out too. Great vids and 22 minutes of pure joy. Thanks for everything.
Honestly I feel like harbor freight is an awesome place. I'm but a poor teenager so the little money I do have to spare on my woodworking hobby is usually spent at HF
This just shows that the most important tool is knowledge. This man made a sick camp from the shittiest tools around. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars. U could have all the swankiest gear and still be unable to do anything
I have a few of those blankets and they are very good…HABOR FREIGHT USE TO HAVE A WOOL BLANKET Army style it stunk when new but it was warm! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS!👍
Great content as always. I got to see the last video, outstanding as always. Love the effort and individuality you bring to the table every week. Inspirational.
Shane M: great video! Love it when people use ordinary purchased items & craft it into something useful. Also the way you describe the materials used honestly & in perspective adds authenticity! Keep up the good work!
Just goes to show you don’t need Gucci gear (Cabela’s, REI, etc.) to get by in the woods if you need to. I think the idea of having a kit (tote in your truck, etc.) for the just-in-case-I-get-stranded moment that is based on a) a budget like this and b) it must all fit into a certain size/container is a good way to go.
The blankets are great for limited uses yeah I've used them after about the 7th outing they start to break down. Mr Kelly I am so happy you made this video because finally someone has made a video that's right up my alley.
I did see the stealth camping video before it was taken down. Sorry to hear you are another victim of the censors that are rapidly destroying our Constitutional right to free expression. Always enjoy your videos and never fail to learn something new. Keep up the good fight!
Thank you for another great video. Harbor freight stuff can get you by in a pitch for sure but not the best. I did catch last weeks video before it was took down and it was great! Keep making and I will keep watching!!!!!!
Thanks for this video. You clearly show how a person of limited means could nonetheless outfit himself for an overnight or weekend camp-out experience. Bravo!

👍 I agree with that...and his videos are very educational. All iwas saying was,you wouldn't have a big steak in a survival situation

All the other gear might be trash but that bucket is pretty darn cool. Might go see if my local store has one today.
I must say your videos are second to none. Educational and professional. And together with your many uses of bacon Outstanding.

Steak looks dam good too. Nice.
Those moving blankets are actually super warm!! I was surprised. Bought one to keep in my truck for emergencies.
Thank you Mr. Kelly for your service. Also thank you for these videos. I really like watching them and learning about how to do a lot more things in the woods. And being more self sufficient. OUTSTANDING BROTHER.
Apparently I never commented on this previously so I'm here to say another great video as always. The 80s wet dream knife is actually dreamy 😂
This is great, I was actually walking through a Harbor Freight store after watching one of your videos and thought about doing this.
I was 13yrs when Rambo hit the big screen in 1982. Every teenage boy had to have a Rambo knife. Takes me back every time I spot a Rambo blade.
The tent stake shavings was mind blowing!! That was cool AF!!! I never would have thought of that! Totally gonna teach it on the next trip with my son's Boy Scout Troop!!

I have a new 'tool'. The way you picked up the hot cup with the two sticks is very useful. Thank you.
I’ve really learned a lot from you. Thank you.

Great bushcraft uses and kudos to Harbour Freight for having some pretty decent items for camping. Great video Corporal Kelly!
Harbor Freight sells Lightweight Rubber Padded Mats that interlock. $10, can be used as bedding. 4 Huge Squares, it's plenty.
Nothing wrong with old school af. I still have a couple of those ferro/magnesium bars in my pack. They work.
Looks like the Harbor Freight items worked pretty good. Better than nothing.
Thanks!
Very cool ideas. Suggestion: I carry a file and use it to also grind the magnesium block fast for a good pile of metal. Do the same on wood and mix the metal and wood dust for an awesome tinder pile.

I have had the yellow handle hatchett in the back of my truck for 5 or 6 years.
I do not use it often but it is still solid.
Well worth the $10.

How hard was it yo get an edge on the ax?
Just goes to show you don’t need Gucci gear (Cabela’s, REI, etc.) to get by in the woods if you need to. I think the idea of having a kit (tote in your truck, etc.) for the just-in-case-I-get-stranded moment that is based on a) a budget like this and b) it must all fit into a certain size/container is a good way to go.
I live in my car, just lost the woman I love of 6 years, and preached my brothers funeral. I'll take any challenge.
I hope you're doing good, so sorry to hear that
@@user-tl2dt3os4k I'm doing 300% better! Thank you for caring! On this very day I ask our God to bless you in so many ways, in Jesus Name Amen.
@@jefflay5818I’m glad that you’re doing good man
Sorry about your loss! God bless you forever.
Hope you have a great 2024 man!!
The blankets are great for limited uses yeah I've used them after about the 7th outing they start to break down. Mr Kelly I am so happy you made this video because finally someone has made a video that's right up my alley.
Great video lesson. As long as One knows what to look for gear wise, and has the necessary skills they can get by with sub par equipment for a while.
I did see the stealth camping video before it was taken down. Sorry to hear you are another victim of the censors that are rapidly destroying our Constitutional right to free expression. Always enjoy your videos and never fail to learn something new.
Keep up the good fight!
That shelter turned out awesome. U may have done this a time or 2 lol
Marines.
The Few..
The Proud..
Great one again Corporal, thanks.
Bravo!
I wondered how you were going to get that boiling water off the fire.
File off the rim of the cup and have 2 containers
Hey, you had 3 bucks left. You could have gotten a pair of imitation leather gloves to pick up your hot stuff. Haha
I appreciate all the hard work you do for all of your videos thank you sir!
Impressed with how you got the hot cup out of fire
Ingenious
You want a good gear add to your bag from Harbor freight. Buy a welding striker.
