Dude this is great. F-bodies are awesome mopars and there were so many neat ones from supercoupes and #43s to R/Ts and Roadrunners. This will be helpful for these cars to live on. Respect
Really good news! Glad to hear your plans and I wish you much luck. Fortunately for me, my Aspen wagon is rust free as it came from the high desert area of Colorado/northern New Mexico. However, many really wonderful F bodies out there and their owners will thank you greatly. Another issue is the lack of aftermarket support for almost all body and interior parts which remains a huge problem for all of us that love F bodies (grills, interior plastic panels, trim, etc.). I've seen interest in (and prices of) F bodies grow significantly in the past ten years, but others (even in the Mopar world) still seem to enjoy disrespecting them for some stupid reason. Regardless, no one is ever going to get their hands on my wagon for the foreseeable future. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found it and I don't think I'll ever let it go. To me, the fact that they are not in the Mopar mainstream (ho hum) makes them that much more interesting and desirable.
@@dutchguysgarage Great news - I didn't know that. As difficult as it is to find parts for the coupes, it's even worse for the wagons. When I found a complete Hillcrest Plaid interior in excellent condition for my wagon, I drove from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma to get it, and didn't even hesitate. Doubt I'd ever find another! Still don't regret it at all!
I still have the plastic tail panel that says Plymouth and went between the tail lights of my 79 Volare. The car has been gone for decades but the panel hangs in the garage.
should be interesting times ahead Dutch...keen to see how you go with this and the process...I have faith that you are passionate about this enough to make it happen... lets go big guy!!!
I sold mine in the mid 90's unfortunately...but that was before a lot was listed online for used stuff...I wish you the best of luck with getting that going...I wish I would've just mothballed mine!!
Really looking forward to seeing how this works out for you! I'm curious already to see what it would take to make a body panel! Good luck on your new idea! 👍🍻
This is great news to me I'm behind you 100%. I need frame rails especially the left side as I have 76 Road Runner with a 4spd. I used to be a parts mgr. I also have a 1976 parts catalog, so I could possibly help with part numbers.
Hellyeah! If you would bring out the rear "bump" patch panel, I'll take a right and left. Good luck. And thanks for looking out for us F body minorities.
Great to hear this, and im not even into f bodies. But i know that if f bodies can get some support, it will eventually trickle down to m body cars. Btw luv the channel, it has helped a lot.
Fiberglass fenders have been produced in the past. I have a couple sets. The factory fender dosent weigh much of anything and compared to the fiberglass ones of the past you only lost 2 lbs per fender
Great news for all the f- bodies out there that are worthy of a restoration. The f-bodies are going to be more popular once the parts become available! They still get respect at car shows and I'd like to see more of them restored. It would cost you 10 grand for a charger or Cuda parts car that needs everything, Or for 10 grand you can have a pretty nice Aspen R/T with any mopar V-8 OF YOUR choosing .
In 1998 i got my first mopar- a 1970 convertible cuda. Orig 318 but was 340 swapped. It was incredibly rusty. Not a single aftermarket part waa made body wise. Only fiberglass was available for chalengers. Evryone told me to sell it and i eventualy did.
I would think there would be a decent market for replacement grilles if a guy could find a way to make them out of aluminum or stronger plastic. It's so hard to find nice complete grilles nowadays. I've thought about going to a custom fab shop to see what they would charge me to make a '78-79 Aspen grille for me.

Good luck would love to see some aftermarket parts I've had my aspirin since I was 15 I'm 52 now
Cool . What's the run down on it ?
Love hearing stories like that!

Coming soon!
Live your dream brother!
Very cool. Hope you can make this happen. Keep on rocking 🤘
right on, full quarters is ambitious, why not start with basic patch panels? That would keep the tooling costs down till you have more capital.

Tooling is about finished on those, a couple more weeks and the product should be available. There will be a announcement

A fiberglass company should be able to tool up to do glass fenders relatively cheaply. You may want to investigate that avenue.

Keep working hard 💪 and keep living the dream ✨️
Thanks!

Ouch
You need to get your hands on Al Bundy's car.

Have you thought about making frame caps like at one time were made before.
The frame caps offered before made for some clearance issues. I've removed them from cars because of it. We will not be making them
good luck in your proect the parts are need for our f bodies
