- Up for sale is this stunning 1-Owner Jaguar Convertible, a 1996 (final year of production) XJS in a beautiful color combination, and with low miles and excellent original condition. The Topaz Metallic exterior paint is exceptional all around, and the Ivory Connolly leather hides are immaculate front and back. Amenities include rich walnut trim, dual power seats, power top, 220HP inline 6-cylinder, 4-speed automatic, alloy wheels, and more. This car is garage kept, never smoked in, and an increasingly appreciating collectible.

Re: broken fuel gauge: "Get used to that sort of thing because that's what Jaguar's all about." Bill is a truly honest salesman!
I have a triple black Celebration 1996 with 56k miles. It took me almost 2 years of aggressive searching before I found it in California. Such a treasure. It got 2nd place 2 years in a row at an all British car show.(cancelled this year).
Hi, I am looking at a 1995 Celebration 4.0 with 98k. Maintained by a local Jag shop. It looks to be in great shape. What do you suppose is a fair price?
I'm near Leesburg, 34797. Can you recommend a Jaguar specialist nearby?
8:52 😂😂😂 amputees in the rear seat. I swear Bill is the Dice Clay of car reviewers
Love your upgraded camera....it's more on par with your fantastic reviews on your spectacular vehicles! Great job Bill!👍
This is gorgeous. Though I love the original E-Type you showed on your channel, I could, I’d opt for this one. It’s of my era, sufficiently modern and beautiful.
This sir is a fine example and you are a good at your job, later than my 83 sc 6 cylinder but without your added extras of the day , as you commented that all important jaguar paper work, heritage certificate will be important to its future. Well back to the maintenance program here in Blighty.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood. Bruce Meyer-----Beverly Hills.
I own a 1994 V12 XJS convertible. It was originally painted British Racing Green, but I repainted it Volkswagen ‘Tornado Red’ a few years ago and I must get 20 admiring looks and comments each and every day! I’ve owned it for a dozen years. The Jag is my daily driver, and has been the entire time I’ve owned it. It’s by far the most awesome car I’ve ever owned; I much prefer driving it to my other car, a 2012 BMW 335i. My XJS is virtually perfect at this point, having invested roughly $25k over the past 12 years (not including the original cost of the car). But it’s a genuine thrill to drive; on the highway is where it’s most at home, that V12 ready to pounce at any highway speed. 60 feels like 20, and 90 feels like 50. So smooth and refined. I’m planning on keeping mine forever!
A thing of beauty is a JOY. FOREVER. !!!!!
Great car Bill ......well presented and another outstanding find! 😎
A thing of beauty is a JOY. FOREVER. !!!!!
Fantastic job Bill, on a FANTASTIC and wonderful car! Thank you for this one.
Never seen a six before, used to repair them in NJ,USA,they were all V12,i miss them a great deal.
It's known as a two plus two in England (seating). Merc SL is the same, as is Porsche 911. Most of us use them for carrying luggage.
My mom had one of these back in 94-95. Used to ride with the top down.
I still remember how clicky the buttons were.
My favorite. Thanks, Bill.
This is a beautiful example of the XJS. These cars don't usually survive this nicely, especially in the north. Even when they were nearly new, they became turds quickly. If you cannot afford a nice one like this, don't bother. Bill always gets the nice ones. I would buy from AEN; (this is not a commercial!)
It's gorgeous Bill!
The last true Jaguar
The best designed affordable cars of the recent past.
Wow. Great car
my favorite jag
Beautiful car. Worth an absolute fortune here in Thailand.
4.0, I6. I have a feeling this engine was used by Ford Australia right up till 2016 (updated over the years, of course). The look, heck, even the sound is familiar!
I acquired about a year ago a signal red TWR car (Thomas Walkinshaw Racing) One of 100 American market only.50 red and 50 black. 50 convertibles and 50 coupes. Mine is a show perfect convertible. Last of the TWR cars. 1993.
The new veido was straight and clear.
Beautiful car ❤
Beautiful car... Man too be Rich..
“Fuel pump relay”…. Words that give me PTSD memories of my MGB roadster.
Inboard disc brakes were to minimise unsprung weight and thus improve suspension performance.
My neighbor was trying to sell theirs for ten years and growing up I was always like I'm gonna but that car because I love it. Then The moment I turn 16 and am ready to go buy it...THEY SCRAP IT
Don't go back to the iPhone. This is much better
Nicee 💖
great
Enzo Ferrari was an engine man, primarily.one of his favourite quips was 'you buy the engine, the rest is free' so,to say he like the XK-E type was probably him saying 'i like the V12 motor, the rest is rubbish'
Do Canadians ever get to sit in the front seat?
Audio is a bit on the low end, but other than that, solid upgrade:)
The oil pressure is really low. Even low as you accelerate. May want to check it out.
You just have to clean and re-grease the hood latches to work properly. Dirt and grime over time makes them stick. I had a 91 XJS V12 before.
Before you spend time on that fuel sender, loads of cars from Europe took ages for the gauge to start reading from this era. As a kid in the 90's we have a Vauxhall (GM), Citroen, Renault and Ford that all took about 15 seconds to register fuel in them.
Ha, I should have watched the full video - it's f**ked.
This is not a cabriolet. Its a convertible. Cabriolet has the 'roll cage' top.
It is this history and attention to elegance that puts Jaguar in a league of it's own. The older ones are even more beautiful. So don't compare this to MBZ, Lexus, or BMW as their owners like to do.
Thank you ... and I too feel that everyone who has the remotest eye and touch for it .. rather puts a MB 107 along the lines with convertibles like the Unimog . just do not buy a Jag from Arthur Daley :)
where was this filmed?
Can you daily drive an xjs 6cylinder
is it for sell?
another sweet car! go back to iphone. sorry lol
FYI....don't slam the trunk on any Jag....they are designed push shut and you can break them. Quietness is the name for the game with anything British !!!!
It is NOT a cabriolet, it is a convertible. The cabriolet had a built in roll over bar,
I've owned a 1989 version with the 3.6 straight six engine with fuel injection and digital engine management for the last 15 years. The most reliable car I have ever owned, my daily drive at 30 years old.
I love your reviews but Jag-U-ar has THREE syllables NOT Two. I have to be in a masochistic mood to listen to you sabotage the language. I know hundreds of Americans who don't before you blame it on speaking American.
Bill please find me a 2009 XJ VDP in pearl grey. Came down to JAX a few weeks ago chasing one that turned out to be a dud... Really bad body work. Sarasota, same deal nasty body work at a jag dealer! cmos@optonline.net if you have a bead on a mint VDP 08 or 09 in any color except white, black or silver. I need two jags so I can drive one while wrenching on my other.
So ta rancio hagrid
Niestety Schlabubvvo wkrótce zakaże zabawy na spalinach !!!!!
