Great compilation. Thanks for posting these! Loved Yarwood back in the day. Loved the Call My Bluff, Celebrity Squares and the University Challenge sketches there. The thing I liked about Mike Yarwood is that he was very good with mannerisms of the people he impersonated. Not just the voice. Like all impressionists he had strengths and weaknesses but more often or not he hit the target. Funny without being crude. Back then was a golden age for that type of comedy. The Two Ronnies, Morcombe and Wise etc. Great times.
Rest in peace, Mike Yarwood. Such a great impressionist ...
Heard Neil Sean on his videos tell his community about Mike's death.
Love impressionists.
From a fan in America
Really like Mike
Tv from a time when we had talent in front of and behind the camera, compated te utter tripe that is funded by advertisers and gambling of todays trash tv.
The God Father of impressionists
R.I.P, Mike Yarwood.
Yarwood is absolutely awesome when it comes to Frankie Howerd. You can't tell from the real one.
"... the bint with the mole ..." (1:10:15). Hysterical. If you didn't get it I'm not going to explain.
Absolutely 💯 brilliant
Absolutely 💯 brilliant
His Eddie Waring impression at 27:27 makes me laugh. Mike Yarwood nearly loses it after his brilliantly over the top pronunciation of “Bamber”.
RIP MIKE YARWOOD. Loved when he imitated Harold Wilson and Prince Charles. FROM an American fan. I wonder if Mike imitated King Charles, III before Mike passed on.
Mike was so talented and funny.
Jon Culshaw, Rory Bremner & Alistair McGowan looked up to this legend. In football terms (not being strange here) Jon, Rory & Alistair are in the Championship promoted straight into the Premier League where Mike Yarwood has permanently stayed. The greatest impressionist there has ever been. Miss you so much Mike, god bless you
I could never get in to Mike Yarwood growing up as a lad in the 80's.
I didn't find him funny. I thought his impersonations were poor. Compared to the Likes of Rory Bremner, Phil Cool and Alistair McGowen, Mike Yarwood is very poor.
Come from a different era that's why. His peak was the 70's
I totally hear you. A few of them pretty good, but some terrible rubbish, that just sounds like mike Yarwood. Jon Culshaw's Tom Baker Dr Who, absolutely wipes the floor with anything Mike ever did.
