I was born in the 70's and grew up in the 80's and listened to and loved Twisted Sister and this song, but all I can say is...WOW, it took on a whole new meaning to me now! I have spent the last 20 years working in healthcare and I will never look at another pediatric cancer patient without thinking of this! Awesome job Dee!
I have been a fan of Dee Snyder (Twisted Sister) since I was young. I have to say, this is probably one of the most powerful renditions of any song I've heard before. Having lost family and loved ones to cancer, this version really speaks to me. Amazing job here Criss & Dee. Love it! My prayers go out to Criss and his son.
Made me tear up, my 7 month old nephew was diagnosed with brain cancer since he was 2 months. He continues to fight strong, when he smiles and giggles brings joy to my sister. #cancersucks we just can't give up!

I just watched a documentary on Twisted Sister and it seems like Dee Snider has always been a pretty awesome musician and person.
The guy is doing better than most 61 year old men, period. His voice is awesome. Didn't expect this in 2016.
I don't think he's ever drank alcohol or done drugs. That might be one reason.

I can’t imagine the emotions and feelings these parents have. My husband is battling stage 4 cancer right now. Watching his children they r all in their 20’s) watch him go through this rips my heart in half. My heart goes out to all these kids and their parents. Keep fighting❤️

June 21st, my son lost a classmate at the age of 12 who spent 3 years battling cancer, this is something that no child should have to worry about or bury a friend.

My boyfriend used to work at a restaurant where Dee Snider & his wife used to get brunch up in either New Jersey or I think Pennsylvania. Dee always asked for "that goth kid" (aka my bf) to serve him cuz he liked him and gave him a big tip. Boyfriend said that he was so nice too! If you would have told me 30+ years ago when I first heard this song that one day it would bring me to tears, I would've said you were crazy.

as much as I love the original, I love this one more. I have a friend that's losing his battle with cancer and we would jam out to this song so for us this version has a more powerful impact on us.

Kudos to Dee and Chris Angel for raising awareness. Great version of this song, and TS is one of the world greatest hard rock/metal bands ever. They had such a unique sound and that voice of Dee's was SO powerful, and they worked their asses off and gave the middle finger to anyone that mocked them for their image or tried to alter it.

We just had the woman in this video as a speaker for a conference today. While this video brings tears, hearing her story about breaks you.
I had a cousin who was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma (which is rare for a little kid) and he survived two fights, my grandma is the one who took care of him throughout those two times.. he is a strong and kind hearted little kid and my grandmother is an extremely strong woman for going through it all. Dee Snider has won a lot of respect from me and children are worth more than four
Dee is a class act. He could come off as abrasive in his disdain for addicts and others who self destruct, but he saves his sympathy for real victims, like kids with cancer.

My wife was diagnosed with De-Differentiated Chondrosarcoma (Bone Cancer) back in March of 2017. Since then, I've watched this video more times than I can count. For me, personally, this particular video really took on an entirely new meaning after her diagnosis. So far, she's beating the odds and proving that only God can tell her when her time is up. Watching her fight cancer is by far the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I'm doing everything that I can, but it never feels like enough. She's given the term 'Warrior' a whole new meaning, and proving to me, our kids, the doctors, and to the rest of the world that not only is she a fighter, but when it comes to fighting cancer, she's not gonna take it... I love you babe! #FuckCancer #WereNotGonnaTakeIt

Hover over the video, go to settings (the little gear looking thing in the lower right.) There should be an option in there for "speed" (should say 'normal' by default.) Click on that and it should give you options to speed it up or slow it down. It's awesome.

This song was originally released in 1984. I was a dumb 16 year old and thought this song was awesome ""rebellion/party music." I've always thought the video was cool.
This version makes me understand how important an art form music videos are. Listen to the original and this version without the videos and there is minimal difference
WITH the video, it goes from "rebellion/party music" to a truly heartfelt song of defiance in the face of of probable defeat; Three years ago, my mum's doctor gave her six months to live because of her stomach cancer. Not knowing the song, the spirit of this version lives in her.
