Vac Daddy has a lot of suction, in fact if you bottom out at all it rips the hose they send with it wide open. They replaced it 3 times i finally gave up trying to use it. It's extremely cumbersome getting it back to the pool area. It needs a cart that will accommodate a battery. The power supply it comes with would be a great backup for when your battery runs down but power receptacles are surprisingly in short supply around pools. I really would like to use it more, maybe a year later some of this has been fixed.

The only thing id use this for would be with the vac to waste feature. There are tons and tons of equipment for maintaining pools but not much for major cleanups when things get real. Thats why I made a 4" trashpump for that specific use. No bags no filters, just leaves dirt straight out of the pool.

I agree with that. Have you used the VD for a vac to waste?

@@AquaticFacilityTraining Ihave not personally used the VD. I dont own one or plan to. It looks like a great tool. Im not against it at all. I just have something better is all. its gas not electric but its not for maintaining either like the VD is. I just use a custom vac head I fabricated along with a gas trash pump. To maintain pools I just use a riptide with cartridge filter.

ive made trash pumps off a optiflo above ground pool pump . the downside i have with those is the pump basket clogs in 10 seconds with algae muck and debris even using a inline canister . ill use my riptide with the green clean out bag big holes like a laundry bag on day one of flips then ill just have the pools topped off and flat vac to waste. if its a cartridge ill just remove the cartridge and retrofit a ball valve on drain plug of filter with a backwashe hose out in yard or drainage. ive used hammerhead , powervac and riptide liked the rip so much i got 3 now. the quality of bags on the rip to me is what sets the power vacs apart and the quality of the cart and vac heads. even tho they are pretty beefy and heavy . it was between this and the bottom feeder but with the price point of the vac daddy an the bottom feeder at almost 1500 it what keeps me away from buying either. that and the fact you only get aroun 2 hours vac time on either . i threw a 80 ah duracell on our rips and we get 4 days vac time off one charge . 110 pools

you have to factor in cost of vac daddy into the pros and cons. and the fact it cant even vac in a foot anf a half of water. riptide leads the market.
