BTW. You can get a ShoreStation factory made replacement winch tube 3000/4000 lb. that includes a new lift and winch cable and pulleys for that lift for well under a $1000. I believe the part # is 73488. Also That’s an after market direct drive that probably doesn’t have a limit switch. So then there’s always a concern the winch was over tightened possibly over stressing the cables pulleys which can really shorten the life of that winch tube.
I don’t know how many times I’ve seen the end caps fall off the SS poly bunks and gouge the boat hull with the sharp edge of the aluminum. The customer never looks for it or notices until it’s too late. Wood 🪵 bunks might not be as fancy, but they are safer than poly. In my opinion.

The general rule of thumb in the industry is to add 1000 lbs to the dry weight of your boat when trying to figure out what capacity boat lift you should shoot for. In your case I would look for a 3500-4000 lb capacity lift. I’m not sure where you’re located but if you’re in the Michigan area I have a very lightly used 3600 lb capacity lift I just took in on trade that I would sell for a steal.
