The in-flight meals and snacks are nothing to write home about. I guess the best hack is to check in early so there’s plenty time to enjoy quality meals in the Polaris Lounge Restaurant. Fill up with good food prior to boarding.
Before the flight take off, the flight attendants take order from the full price tickets traveler first, then the upgraded passenger, and finally the employees upgraded, the last will be the mileages tickets, that’s why the choice of beef or chicken is no longer provided, you suck with it.
Polaris is no comparison with Asian Airline club, even the breakfast , you can ordered the food, they bring it to your table, they provided more than 10 different choices of food, plus self serve buffets all days foods

What happened to United's famous ice cream sundae trolley, they were supposed to reinstate this service on all long haul international flights. So sad...United has not learned a damn thing, along with the other 2 US based airlines...this type of service offering continues to exemplify and highlight that non US airlines are always going to be superior than this crappy offering. Your service would have been more pleasing on Korean Air, Asiana, Cathay Pacific servicing ICN.
I use to fly Cathy or JAL, they provided ribeye steak , Chilean Sea Bass , And or Chicken, appetizer prawns…, UA long haul use to be serving steaks or chicken, champagne Dom Perignon, nowadays they serves Veuvu Clicquot, perhaps even worst. UA can’t compete with Singapore, Cathy, JAL and or Korean airline at all, service and foods has been down graded in the business class, not worth to fly UA business class. The Polaris lounge just a little above average, of course it’s is much better than United Club.
