Gary, I'm a new prospector from Australia and just want to let you know, your videos are hands down the best videos on you tube, I have watched them all. keep them coming mate!!
Gary, I have a degree in geology and my professors did not have the have the knowledge you have to share. Thank you so much for passing this information along. Do not be concerned with the length of you your videos, every minute counts.
Gary, you did a FANTASTIC job of demonstrating the process. Please do not think that your videos are too long. You are the ONE prospector that can make a video too long!!! You explanations are so beneficial to me and prospectors throughout our industry. Your Knowledge through the years of Experience .....they just cannot teach that in ANY School !!! The other prospectors just do NOT have your experience and to be honest your Passion!! More instructional videos with your passion and wealth of knowledge would be a sellable commodity!! I as well as the 6 buddies I have agree we would gladly pay cash money to have access to your Prized Instruction !!! The Bonus to us is your unbridled Passion that is infectious. America NEEDS to be exposed to the Passion you exude. Thank You, Gary. You ARE, " The Gold Man!!!!"
It didn't matter if the video was long or not. Your knowledge of the terrain and how you teach others to read it is exemplary. My family has learned a lot about crevicing and reading the river from you. Keep up the great vids.
Who cares about the length of your video. It's all the knowledge I'm here for and you've got a lot of that to share. I've learned so much from you and truly appreciate you sharing it
Just finished your video. Quite informative as usual. Thank you for teaching me everything I know. I'm just not in a good location. It's only a few miles from my home, and just wanted to experience it before I made a 2 hour trip. I was finding everything you show, iron, lead, red sand , black sand, everything but what I wanted to find. So thanks to you, i feel, i was in a decent spot. I only have one lung, so it's harder for me to hike with a whole lot. I carry my 50 inch sluice on my back. Long handled shovel in one hand, and a bucket with all my tools in the other. And after hiking a couple miles, I'm ready to start in the first place that looks half decent. I think I'm going to invest in a small cheap rubber raft, that way most of my hiking will be one way.
I just don't get how you can say with a straight face that your videos are too long. You are so naturally well suited to keep any serious gold seekers attention. I'm a relative newbie to this gold digging, panning and all and I KEEP re-watching as many of your videos as I can find the time for. I've had plenty of time lately as I'm recovering from a Total Rotator Cuff Repair Surgery. Please don't worry so much about the length of your videos. They are chuck full of valuable information that most of the time I am still wanting at the end...That is in no way or any fashion a complaint. Your knowledge is amazing and the more I learn from you the more I crave for more. Thanks for not only your Service but the information you so freely impart to the rest of us with a sincere and recognizable passion. Thanks again, Idaho Guy with the FEVER...LOL PS. I made a small order last year and am very happy with ALL the Items you sent me. Good Quality STUFF... I was slightly surprised at how quickly they arrived as well. Once the Surgeon gives my release & I'm back to work I'll make another order of your goodies. Thanks.
I have been prospecting my local area lately, and I am almost overwhelmed with so many spots that look good to me that I almost don't know where to start. This video will hopefully help me to better look for where to start concentrating, because right now I'm all over the place and I feel I end up wasting a lot of time. Thanks, and great video as always!
I am new to this channel (1 week) , but already a binge watcher ! This is without a doubt the most interesting and useful channel I personally have found on UA-cam, please keep the videos coming Gary , although I live in South East Texas (NO River Gold ) I find this very easy to watch and really enjoy your section of California !
That was some good gold Gary! Those were some bread and butter tips about scratching crevices! It was so kool to meet you at Oregon creek and hear all your great stories! Thanks for all the great tips and much aloha!!
Great video Gary very educational. Jeff was picking on you he is just jealous that he did not find such beautiful gold. The length of the video was good there is a lot of information in it. Thank you Gary for sharing.
Jeff and I are planning to do a little crevicing in the next week. I plan to work up high while he works low on the river. Should be interesting, technically he should find more gold than me. We will see!
Great video, you do such a great job with your commentary that I don't notice the time. Most informative videos out there on this subject, thank you for your time and effort!
Love the videos your literally giving me an education on how to read a river and follow the clues, I was all rip roaring and ready to buy a multi sluice and bring home half the planet 😂 now I'm going to be doing some metal detecting and crevice hunting till spring, love the long videos dont change a thing and thank you
Hi Gary, sorry I called you Jeff in another comment. LOL What I really thank you for is taking the time to give out all of your hard earned knowledge. If it were me after taking all of the time and energy, hiking, gas, etc., I wouldn't waste the time with all of this explaining as I would want to get every minute out of the day looking for gold. Granted, I do explain myself thoroughly when doing plumbing repairs to any of my interested clients to help them do their own next time. But I am getting paid and didn't have to go through what you do each trip.Thank you so much! Aloha, Paul
Brilliant as always. Hey GArY please could you consider doing one on how to find gold in smaller rivers?? Here in UK (and no doubt parts of U.S.) our gold bearing locations are often on very small rivers or even streams. They are maybe between 1/10 to 1/5 the width of your giant creeks! - and it's not generally nugget territory for sure - we tend to find tiny flakes, and on a good day a picker or too. I know the principles are the same, but I'm guessing, as always - you will have tips that are unique to the situation. Big Thanks.
An excellent teach-in with great content for beginners. Me? I'd snuff up every little piece because given time, it all adds up and with the price of gold per gram these days, given time you will have a nice little earner and there's no doubt about that. I've been gold sniping 20 years since I was a kid, and every stash of nuggets, pickers and smalls are safely laid into my bank's deposit box. Now my 10 yr old daughter has her own. Many thanks Two Toes - you're a star!
Two Toes your sense of humour keep you young! Thanks a million for sharing your knowledge and life experience it's worth more than a million as you are teaching the next generation of gold miners! Long live your wisdom and need to share it
There even heavier when they bounce off your head !!!! I know this from experience !!!! Looking forward to mining with you and you can teach me the finger snap !!!!
Scott,I am are car salesman and I'm retired,I have been watching your videos for a cpl.weeks and i really enjoy watching them .I really like the way that you go into detail on working the gravel and crevices.I enjoy using my metal detector in my spare time as a hobbiy.I live in Ohio near the Cincinnati area.I believe there is gold in our creeks,Everyone thinks i'm trying to put one over on them .We have some great looking bedrock in our creeks.I'm going to be doing more surveys of the area and get back to you if i find some gold.every flake counts right? Keep up the good work especially the way that you explain things.
This is one of my favorite videos of all time. This really helped me out in the field to pinpoint better areas to search, when at first glance they ALL look good. Thanks Gary!
Another great video Gary , very informative as usual , if anything we need instilled in our memories it's look for the trap ,gold needs something to get caught in ,and it can't sink past bedrock , thanks for sharing your knowledge, cheers.
Don't ever think your videos are too long. Every minute is straight knowledge. I always look forward to seeing your notifications in my feeds. Have you ever thought about setting up classes? I'm local and would take some vacation time from work to attend such a class.
Thank you for your video, the last few of them have been very informative. It makes me feel confident I'll find a good flake next time I go out.... And if not it's always enjoyable for me to just be at the river. Happy hunting
I dredged Butte creek in the 70's. That creek has some of the most beautiful gold around. Nuggets up to I/4 ounce were fairly common. There is a ton of fine gold in that creek. There are so many houses along it now, there isn't much access to the good area.
Love the Video Gary, like the rest have said, never to long a video ..... been watching and learning for years from you and this is one of the best ..... hugs to all from the mighty Rouge River and valley of S.Oregon ... Historic Gold Hill mining district⛏⛏🤠
Thank you!!!! Your videos are interesting, entertaining, and inspiring. I live in Alaska and just started prospecting this summer. Haven’t found anything yet but keep running to the rivers every chance I get before they freeze, especially after your videos.
Thanks Gary for your dedication to finding gold. Waitng for the Klamath water level to go down. Joined the New 49'ers. Ready to get in the water using a floating battery operated hookah and snipe the deep parts the old timers could not get to. Happy prospecting Gary.
I like your shinny tool comment, I have always carried an inspection mirror with me, cause the big fire ball in the sky throws out a whole lot more light than any flashlight does. 😃 Thanks for the video!
You are a wonderful instructor and KNOW what you are talking about! This was a Sterling presentation. Well Done Mr. TT !! Very Respectfully, LCDR John Sullivan, USNR (Ret.)
Even though I have been prospecting for a very long time, I always learn something new from your videos. I only wish we had so much water to work with. It looks to me as though the gold replenishes it self there much more than it does here in AZ. It must be gold working it’s way down from the ancient river channels up on the hill above!
Gary from another Gary thanks I have learned more from your videos than I have anywhere else please continue the good work and teaching that you are doing,
You an me, we got very different ideas of "large"! I would love to find gold that size on the creek's I work. Nice vid mate, perfect length, well informed commentary all anyone could ask for really.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I'm just getting into panning and I've really found your videos to be very helpful. Just bought one of those long crevase spoons from Pioneer Mining in Auburn and I can't wait to try it out!
Dear Sir, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us all. I did my first crevicing last Summer, and now thanks to you, I am excited to go back and apply some of what you have taught me. Best.
Thanks for the info. I've been prospecting gold and gems for a while. You reminded me of several things I had forgotten and gave me some things to think about.
Great knowledgeable video and not too long !! You keep it real and I never know what I'm going to learn!! Awesome thank you for pointing out such cool facts about gold reaction in rivers..and types of rocks .. Thank u. Hope to share a day in the future!..
30 mins and under is good for vids. Even if longer it keeps us entertained. Dont let any youtubers say vids are too long because sometimes the short vids keeps you searching too much and it's good to have some time spent watching rather then looking.
Hello Gary, I thoroughly enjoyed your video as many others I watched before. i would like to express my appreciation for the good content of your videos. This particular one was great to me. thank you for not taking the name of the Lord in vain and not using swear words. I like your logic and knowledge of prospecting gold. I`m from South Africa and our Gold is deep, but I`m keeping my eyes and ears open. I would like to do prospecting gold as a hobby. I`m looking forward to share your adventures with you in the coming video`s. Regards, Harry van Niekerk, South Africa.
I like when you say : look at what WE found... Please just send me my part. Ha ! Nice video. I just started to pan this year. Little amount of crevices where I am panning.
Hello Gary, that video was fantastic. The length was fins except I wish it was 1 1/2 hrs long. I have learned so much from watching your videos and the way you explain things. Please don't stop making them. God Bless you Gary and may your gold pans turn yellow. Oh, and thank you so much for sharing.
Gary I love all the videos I've learned so much from you in the past 2 years. 3 years ago I got all my crevicing tools from you and I've changed so many things when I'm down on the river looking for gold. The amount of gold I have been getting has slowly gone up from changing my techniques and tools all thanks to you! I left a voicemail last week on your work phone number listed on your website I'm hoping to chat with you about the TDI detector. I'm looking at buying the TDI SL special prospecting detector. The only thing I want to do is pick up the 4 x 9 loop just for helping with crevicing rather than the one that comes with it which is a little bit bigger. I know that you run the Jimmy TDI loop, The Miner John's 8 x 12 comes stock on the new TDI but I like the 5 x 9 for trying to pick up the smaller nuggets in crevices. As soon as I get the new detector I'm going to be up in the gold country in the next 2 weeks or so. Thank you for the great videos, it doesnt bother me if they were 2 hours long!
My answering machine is slowly dying, I can't make out the recordings anymore. When the weather gets bad and things slow down, I will replace the whole setup - like I was going to last winter. lol I'm old so I have a excuse - I keep forgetting.
You can pick up very small gold with the stock loop but, the smaller loop will allow you to get in between the rock and allows you to detect more areas.
Your knowledge and experience really shines through and translates very well. I have learned much already. I am in the desert and have still been fairly successful in applying the "Gold Science" you teach. I wonder if you might possibly have any info or techniques that might be specific to working "dry Washes" and other desert geology?
Excellent vid!Hands tell what a man do,and yours tell a story.Very clear explanation ,If dont understand,wasnt listening.Thanks for share.From southern cross,GOOD LUCK!
Very informative video. Thanks for sharing your skill and knowledge. This just might be my new hobby, along with rockhounding and fossil hunting, since I love hiking anyway.
Gary, I'm a new prospector from Australia and just want to let you know, your videos are hands down the best videos on you tube, I have watched them all. keep them coming mate!!
Gary 99% of your followers would gladly appreciate a longer video, Beautiful creek & shiny's . Can't wait to see your return video. Have a great day.
Gary, I have a degree in geology and my professors did not have the have the knowledge you have to share. Thank you so much for passing this information along. Do not be concerned with the length of you your videos, every minute counts.
I always say better to do it than to read it in a book.
I could watch 3+ hours straight of you doing this NP. I learn something every time! Thank You...
Gary, you did a FANTASTIC job of demonstrating the process. Please do not think that your videos are too long.
You are the ONE prospector that can make a video too long!!!

Some awesome bedrock there. Another cracking video Two Toes👌.
Great video! It's never to long when you're listening to a great teacher.
I'm new to the whole gold prospecting and feel that the amount of information I get from you is invaluable, I hope it translates into some results.
Like your hint about reflecting sunlight into a dark space!
Great lessons Gary I enjoy your long videos seems like you give plenty information and usually a great adventure two thumbs up thanks

Its on the list, that will be a good late fall video, when there is to much water in the larger creeks.
An excellent teach-in with great content for beginners. Me? Great lesson Gary as always. Thanks for taking the time to teach the rest of us.

thanks for posting Gary you are the master. I learned three new methods in this video.
This is one of my favorite videos of all time. This really helped me out in the field to pinpoint better areas to search, when at first glance they ALL look good. Thanks Gary!
Nice video, i've been mining for 9 years and I got great information on this one , Thank you.
Been studying up a lot lately on how gold moves through water and this video has been immensely helpful. Thanks so much for this video!
Another great video Gary , very informative as usual , if anything we need instilled in our memories it's look for the trap ,gold needs something to get caught in ,and it can't sink past bedrock , thanks for sharing your knowledge, cheers.
another brilliant and informative lesson on what a pro like you does to find gold. thank you :)
Nice gold. Thank you, very educational.
great information you can never learn enough from old two toes
Don't ever think your videos are too long. Every minute is straight knowledge. I always look forward to seeing your notifications in my feeds. Have you ever thought about setting up classes? I'm local and would take some vacation time from work to attend such a class.
Thank you for your video, the last few of them have been very informative. It makes me feel confident I'll find a good flake next time I go out.... And if not it's always enjoyable for me to just be at the river. Happy hunting
You make the best videos Gary, I am so inspired by your content, thank you!
I live in Chico ca, and have been panning and sluceing upper butte creek canyon, have you ever tried that creek?
I dredged Butte creek in the 70's. That creek has some of the most beautiful gold around. Nuggets up to I/4 ounce were fairly common. There is a ton of fine gold in that creek. There are so many houses along it now, there isn't much access to the good area.
Got it,...thanks for the reply and again, your videos are the best! And your vids are not even too long! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the educational content! Don't worry about video length, if its quality stuff (which your vids always are) we want to see it!
Thanks Gary for your dedication to finding gold. Waitng for the Klamath water level to go down. Joined the New 49'ers. Ready to get in the water using a floating battery operated hookah and snipe the deep parts the old timers could not get to. Happy prospecting Gary.
Great video Gary, thank you for sharing your years of experience. I would also like to see how you move large boulders and then clean underneath them.
Awesome video. I am a new prospector so I am taking in as much info as I can. That was a very informative video and I learned a lot. Thank you Robert
Even though I have been prospecting for a very long time, I always learn something new from your videos. I only wish we had so much water to work with. It looks to me as though the gold replenishes it self there much more than it does here in AZ. It must be gold working it’s way down from the ancient river channels up on the hill above!
I seek out the creeks that are fed by the old channels.
Gary from another Gary thanks I have learned more from your videos than I have anywhere else please continue the good work and teaching that you are doing,

Nice chunky gold. Great work today. Not a bad haul I must say.
I have only seen a handful of videos on this subject, but this clearly stood out as the best..! Thanks a bunch for great advice :)
I would love to see you move a couple of the larger boulders and see if you can locate some big nuggets!
Dear Sir, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us all. I did my first crevicing last Summer, and now thanks to you, I am excited to go back and apply some of what you have taught me. Best.

Please just send me my part. Ha !
Nice video.
I just started to pan this year. Little amount of crevices where I am panning.
Very informative! Thank you for explaining. Honestly I love the long videos. The more the better. Keep up the great work
You are an inspiration-- your energy and perseverance. I can't move about right now, so I go out with you and really enjoy it.
Hello Gary, that video was fantastic. The length was fins except I wish it was 1 1/2 hrs long. I have learned so much from watching your videos and the way you explain things. Thanks Gary, this was a very informative video. You are a doer and shower prospector.
Great, thanks. A class with class. Length is more than ok
As always priceless info thanks Gary for sharing you the man!
good info for sure !!!!
I love the long videos. You get to see more. Thank you for sharing. ;)
