How To Play Baccarat In Las Vegas:
The dealer then deals out the cards face up-two each for the player and banker-and whichever hand totals closest to nine wins. If you’ve bet on the player hand and it has the closest to nine, the winnings are simply double what you bet.
If you’ve bet on the banker hand and it wins, it pays 95 percent of your wager.When the cards dealt are greater than nine, you have to add the two together and drop the one (or two) to get the value.
For example, a hand of nine and seven cards dealt would add up to 16, and with the first digit dropped, the value in the game is six.
Here are some more rules to help you ace a baccarat game:
If either the player or banker is dealt a total of eight or nine, both the player and banker stand.
If the player’s total is five or less, then the player will receive another card. Otherwise, the player will stand.
If the player stands, then the banker hits on a total of 5 or less.

So the third card is the house edge, not 50/50
At 11:01 with the chart, I'm not sure if it's because the rules are different, but according to the chart, the player having 8 after the 3rd card would dictate if the banker draws, the chart says the banker is spouse to hold.
I'm a roulette person myself, I'm kinda understanding this one, but you lost me. Maybe one day

@budpaw8852 There's another Q&A about this in the comments. The answer is that the banker draw chart is based on the player's third card value (not the hand value) compared to the banker hand value. So the player drew a card valued at 5. The banker hand is worth 3. Based on those values, the chart shows a banker hit.
I agree the chart showed the dealer holds when the player has 8 and banker has 3!
This is because its the players 3rd card not the total value yet

The problem is baccarat tables are always in high limit rooms.

Thank you for the video, can you explain why anyone would ever bet on the dealer? The game is 50/50 either way. If you bet on player you get 1/1 banker pick takes 5%… so why would you ever bet on the 95% payout over the 100% payout? That part I don’t understand
Perhaps the banker is on a winning streak. - in my opinion, you win based on streaks.
@@PuzzlingGames yes, but mathematically, it’s just like a coin flip(pick heads or tails) … which means that any previous outcomes have ZERO effect on the next outcome. If I am understanding the rules correctly then there is never any reason to bet on dealer.

When first talking about a 3rd card, you stated the dealer’s obligation is based on the card drawn. But when showing the example you add the players drawn card to his total. Then the dealers next move is based on the total and not the value of the players drawn card. Can you clarify that for me, please?

In the last game. The player had 8. The banker 3. Your chart says "S" in that case. But in your game the dealer hits. Was that a typo in the chart?
It's based on the third card, not the value of the hand. Although the hand was an 8 the third card was a 5 and the banker had a 3 which makes it a hit for the banker.

If the player’s 3rd card is 3-9, then the banker draws a 3rd card. I think that is the most confusing part of the game. But it’s doable.

At 11:00 you got a 8 ( with 3 cards)and the banker has a 3 . He doesn't have to Take a third card ! Did I miss something ? On the chart it's written S ( so stand ) . Why did he took a third card ( banker ) ??
P is for the value of the 3rd card player got. his 3rd card was a 5 so the banker hits at 3 👍 he said it wrong in the video lol

Ahh makes sense now. It is the value of the third card for the player that dictates the hit or stand. He said it wrong, so it confused me.

I don't understand why anyone would bet on the banker, since the player is even money.
Because of the complex rules, the banker theoretically has very slightly better odds..about 51%. It's really only noticeable over the long-term...like 100 hands of playing but, mathematically, it's a simple fact.

It's easy because all you have to do is decide who to bet on...the dealer is gonna handle the rest
Sounds difficult to win money period. You win you only get what you bet back. So win =0 money.
No. If you bet 10 dollars and you win, you get your 10 dollars back, plus another 10 dollars. They guy on the video didn't explain it well.
