I'm a roulette person myself, I'm kinda understanding this one, but you lost me. Maybe one day

So the player drew a card valued at 5. The banker hand is worth 3. Based on those values, the chart shows a banker hit.

My local casino plays Gloden Frog Baccarat. They charge the casino banking company the commission, that's how they make their money. Players don't have to pay a commission on the tables anymore. Other games they do. But this is specific to non-Indian casinos in California.

I think the confusing part is him like he is the player. As I understand it, the dealer is both the player and the banker and you're just arbitrarily being on who you think will win based on nothing at all.
I really don't think the betting side of the game was properly explained or detailed.... It's the whole reason the game is played, not just to get a win - but to try to profit..
