  • The Seeds, despite having opened for many big names, never really achieved widespread success outside of Los Angeles. The main exception to this was the hit single “Pushin Too Hard” which reached a comfortable number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 in Feb. 1967. Furthermore, I took it upon myself to find a couple (2) of The Seeds true live performances (they released a studio live album in 1968) and combine the best of what I could find. The first of these shows was a radio broadcast from April 29th, 1967, at the Hollywood Bowl. Other acts presented on the bill included groups such as the Buffalo Springfield, etc. Anaheim, CA would be the site of our next show, recorded on July 22nd, 1968, at the Melodyland Theatre. Enjoy!
*IT IS WORTH NOTING THAT MY SETLIST ALTERNATES BETWEEN THESE TWO PERFORMANCES. Starting with “Introduction” and “Mr. Farmer” from the Hollywood Bowl, the show switches for each song beyond this.
    TIMESTAMPS:
    Introduction - 0:00
    Mr. Farmer - 0:23
    Night Time Girl - 4:26
Can’t Seem To Make You Mine - 7:14
Gypsy Plays His Drums - 9:40
    Pushin Too Hard - 13:41
Up In Her Room - 16:35
Tripmaker (Apologies for the annoying whistle) - 23:20
    Satisfy You - 26:07
