So, some suggestions. To get a more realistic shadow in Blender directly: create a rough 3d blockout of the character and use the "objects" "visibility" properties in cycles (only in cycles) to disable the "camera" option so the so the shadow is there but no blockout. Also, use render layers. The foreground and background can be on different layers and be added and blurred in the "compositor" in blender. Also, you can also add the original photo and background stock pictures in the compisitor although the controls kinda stink.
You guys have the best photography/editing tutorials on youtube. Usually I have to go to multiple vids but with you guys one vid explains everything about a topic. Straight to the point, making complex things simple, and also giving so much value. Im grateful for you guys!
Sure, you can learn all the 3D skills in the world on UA-cam but maintaining a positive attitude while trekking through the endless desert of troubleshooting is truly remarkable. The positive attitudes you and your wife maintain within every topic on here are this channels best quality. 👏
I love the graphic editing videos the most. This has some great tips, I would love to see you show your keystrokes for these editing videos. It would help a lot for a beginner to blender like myself.
ahh this is insanely good! i was looking for something like this as a tutorial and now i that ive found this i can start my journey and elevate my editing through blender! tysm!
Interesting video! Definitely something I want to play around with. Traveling everywhere for the perfect location isn't always an option so this could be a great alternative for the occasional creative post.
yess this is so awesome!! I want to take my cosplay pictures a bit further and this helped alot! thank you!! hope to see more tips on editing pictures!!
i'd love to see a similar style video but with unreal engine. i think it has a lot of potential with video as well as photos and would love to see the comparison between the two softwares, you did awesome in this video, Benni! :D
Additional suggestions: For superior lighting consider using and HDRI to replicate lighting of real world locations or make an HDRI from a similarly colored location. (clay pit?) Additionally cutting out the costume from the background and feathering using Blender's masking. You can even use a chroma key to make things easy when using a green or blue screen.
this looks great thanks for the tip. Quick question do you think you can teach us how to make different kind of foam claws? If so that would be great.😀
Здравствуйте Svetlana, could you please make a video on shaping foam using heat (for example if I need to shape foam into a hemisphere then how would I do it using heat? If you already have a video, please send me the link. Thanks you so much.
Hello, I think cosplays are just too expensive and I've seen "tutorials" from you and others, but none for a Yoimiya cosplay. Do you have any recommendation to get started so that I can someday make a Yoimiya cosplay myself?
hey , can you tell me where i can buy movement elektronics and stuff like that , I'm thinking of maken a clone commando cosplay from star wars . its for the led lichts in the visor and side lamp on the helmet , and for the knife that hides in the hand armer part . thanks
**hi Svetlana, Bennie** I've been watching, sharing and supporting your channel for roughly 7 years now. I just don't usually comment/can't afford to "join" any channel (sry)Anyway, **I need to know if you are using normal plastidip on translucent foam or if it's a special sealant?? Like a clear one??** Like you used clear contact cement before-. Pls pls answer my question if you see it, I don't have time to go back through all your videos for the answer O.o
First go to "view -> front" then add image as plane. When you add it from your current view it will just place it somewhere totally crooked I the 3D space
Hello Madam, I have been following you and your husband for a long time. I am always impressed with what you achieve. and I think you are certainly used to receiving congratulations. now I have a problem I am a meticulous person like you but I can't do itmy cosplay of (star kiler) is a very particular star wars character and land of video games I would like from you if it will be possible to have advice or if I have to go through you to make it happen. cordially and bravely. mr laute yvan
Min 3:30 Damn, you also have to say which keys you use to do that or show it. resize = S, move = G etc. You talk way too fast, don't explain things precisely or incompletely and make way too big leaps. you can't follow at all. Is still dont understand how did you rotaded the image. How did you change the position of the camera?
Actually insane that you dropped this tutorial entirely for free with all the necessary steps and links, thank you so much for this!

Good job. I even caught 1-2 tricks, that I did not know about yet. Is always good to watch stuff, even if you know about it already.
Oh. my... god... that is massively complicated. I'm glad you have the confidence to do things like that, Benny! You are a true hero!
Tremendous video in helping reducing the obsurity with Blender. Much love
Guess that's proof you don't always need a "Green Screen"
💯
especially not for photos. You can cut out anything pretty fast with Photoshops new tools. Green screen is more for videos.
@@ableryd3r Thanks for the Advice, i'm new to this haha
subscribed! you're the only channel giving out this much bts, knowledge and energy. keep it up and thank you!
Alles Gute zum Geburtstag Benni!
Happy Birthday Benni!!!

Probably not as much reactions as Svetlana, but I really appreciated this one as well... 😊
That is freaking cool. You have inspired me to get into Blender. Thank you for this incredible tutorial!
Leave it. none of this works. The guy doesn't explain it well at all. A typical trash trap
@@becher1380Seems pretty straightforward. I know this is an old comment but could say you say what he didn’t explain well?
so great! makes me want to learn Blender!! 🎉🎉
Interesting video! Definitely something I want to play around with. Traveling everywhere for the perfect location isn't always an option so this could be a great alternative for the occasional creative post.

Very helpful! Some of us really like the more technical videos
Thanks Benni, this was a most excellent video. Full of sweet techniques.

Omg thank you so much for sharing this info!
Thank you SO MUCH, this tutorial is so helpful and I can't wait to try this myself 🤩
It would be amazing if you could make a more in debth tutorial like this. In how to use Blender and Photoshop combined
Great video Benni! you did really well i really love this photo
Suggest having a cube in the photo so that f-spy can be used to get a accurate perspective and focal length.
excellent technique, beautiful result. I will definitely take inspiration for my projects and videos. Vero good 👍
Happy New Year
Very helpful! We need more tutorials like this
Thank you for this very helpful video!
You're very welcome
Love this you have inspired me to print more props on my 3d printer for my channel 😍 xx
This is so inspiring ! 🤩
Gracias por tan maravilloso video
And it’s really just that simple! 😳
Really interestin! Thanks for sharing!

Agreed, not using HDRI is a big waste
Please more videos like this 🙏
Great tutorial! more pls!
Awesome tutorial.. Thanks a ton
Dude, that's awesome! I'd buy your books!! 😏
Nicely done
I love this videos, I like sci Fi, and fantasy.
Thanks for this video, it's something I'm interested in doing.
THIS IS SO COOL
In a latest update of Photoshop, I could use a "select subject" feature to select subject easily instead I use a pen/lasso tool.
Bravo Benni!
I wanna try this, aaah!!!
Excellent! Thanks

Can i edit like you did in photoshop but in blender?
Since you've moved, have you found any cool new background photoshooting locations?
Bennie, you`re Wizard :D
Thank you for this video ;)

Cool video. What are your laptop specs and what would you change to improve your rendering time?

How can I open a PNG in Blender? The program does not recognize PNG files. Not even if they are transparent
Cool! What are advantages using blender, not only photoshop?
Hapy New year it veri cool
"Bridge" is no longer available
Do you have any alternative to replace that program?

I downloaded something via Quixelbridge. But I can't find the file anywhere. It's not in Blender either?
Can I use 220V-300W Portable Electric DlY Mini-Heat Gun on EVA foam?

this is fucking amazing

My image always ends up crooked in Blender. There is no solution on the net on how to straighten it out. That wasn't explained in the video either.
First go to "view -> front" then add image as plane. When you add it from your current view it will just place it somewhere totally crooked I the 3D space
Is there anyway that you can make a luna from helluva boss?
Põe a legenda em português do Brasil 🇧🇷🙏
If your goal was to make Svetlana look gorgeous, mission accomplished.
The process of extracting images has always been a nightmare
I don't know why Benni's face make me think of Alexander Skarsgård 😉
Waw..
Blender won't open PNG files? You are not explain it good

Can you make a Hayato's Jacket in the game Free Fire...??? I pay you...
Das mit der Wüste stimmt nicht ganz. In Brandenburg gibt es wohl eine (kein Witz). :D
I will stick to MidJourney 🙂

I'm new here but.... Hollywood is all we've had so...
Next step is to use a generated background from any diffusion stable neural network. Actually, i thought this video will be about neural network )
They come out better than those stolen images that tump put his head on and sold as his own NFT digital collector cards.
