  • Planning a trip to Arch Rock Campground in Nevada's Valley of Fire State Park? Our video showcases various campsites, providing viewers with a preview to choose their ideal spot amidst the park's stunning landscapes.
Nestled within the captivating landscapes of Nevada's Valley of Fire State Park, Arch Rock Campground stands as a serene oasis amidst the rugged beauty of the Mojave Desert. Named for the iconic red sandstone arches that dot the park's terrain, this campground offers visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the wonders of nature while enjoying modern amenities.
Arch Rock Campground is the more primitive campground of the two - offering 29 sites butted up against deep red sandstone providing plenty of privacy. Each site has its own potable water source, tent pad, a stand-up barbeque grill in addition to a fire ring, and covered picnic tables. The campground features dry camping so it has vault toilets rather than flushing toilets and no showers. However, the nearby Atlatl Rock Campground is more developed and offers amenities for use by campers at Arch Rock. Each site can accommodate tents, trailers, campers, or RVs. Arch Rock Campground does not, however, provide RV hookups but there is a dump station.
One of the highlights of Arch Rock Campground is its proximity to several of Valley of Fire's most renowned attractions. Just a short drive from the campground, visitors can explore the majestic formations of Arch Rock itself, a natural wonder sculpted by millennia of wind and water erosion. Additionally, the nearby Mouse's Tank Trail offers a leisurely hike through a narrow canyon adorned with ancient petroglyphs, offering a glimpse into the rich history of the region's indigenous peoples.
Beyond its natural beauty, Arch Rock Campground offers practical amenities to enhance the camping experience. Clean restroom facilities with flush toilets and running water ensure comfort and convenience for guests, while a central dump station allows for easy disposal of waste for RV campers. Additionally, a camp store located within the park provides essentials such as firewood, ice, and snacks, ensuring that visitors have everything they need for a memorable stay.
Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat amidst stunning desert scenery or an adventurous basecamp for exploring Valley of Fire State Park, Arch Rock Campground offers the perfect blend of tranquility, convenience, and natural splendor. From sunrise hikes to evening campfires under the stars, it's a place where memories are made and the spirit of the desert comes alive.

WOW!! Thank you very much for the tour. I’ve taken notes (as per usual when watching your videos) and have selected a few sites. Beautiful scenery!

I uploaded a similar video prior to COVID. I did both loops as well. The ones with hookups are always filled. The empty ones that you passed on the first loop had the "reserved" receipts posted. If you do not need hookups and have a smaller vehicle, #26 is my favorite. Close to the toilet, has water, tent pad, picnic table with cover, and a beautiful sunset view to the west. Now your chances of landing a spot are better, since the state park system now is on a reservation system.

Yup! Our first visit was pre-reservation, so we thought it would be fun to go back again. 😄

The only time I’ve been to Nevada was when I was a young girl, and remember zero about it. I hope to get there soon, and will definitely put this area on my list to visit. Such weird rock formations! You just can never imagine what all is out there waiting to be explored! Thanks for the video!
