    Nate you’re the MF’ing Diesel Transmission Whisper’er!!! Thank You for the detailed explanation of what’s going on inside my 68RFE! I have a tranny service coming up but nobody I’ve spoken with has been able to explain exactly what’s going on & why the transmissions fail over time. Im currently not having issues with my 68RFE (Thank God!) and have just deleted & tuned (including the trans) on my ‘14 6.7 Cummins with only 56K on it; Im running the RR Moonshine tunes set between 60-hp & 175-hp (nothing too crazy) for engine longevity & was worried ‘bout ruining my 68RFE, I’m now confident with this future upgrade it’ll prolong the life & reliability of the transmission for the day2day driving, towing 13,000-lbs (5th wheel) & occasional quick acceleration from stop lights🤙🏽Keep up the Great Diesel upgrade information videos Brother....God Speed &...FUCK GAS!!!⛽️ (I Love It👍🏽 Hahahaha!!! 😂)

    I ordered a 68RFE Xtreme tow rebuilt kit. I absolutely love it!! I did a Quick learn on transmission. it shifted a little weird at first, but I think it was part of the tranny learn process. I tow a 10,000 lbs trailer and Thank you Nate. your Informative Vid game me confidence on purchasing kit

    Can you make a video about your rebuild kits what comes with what kits and why things are added to transmissions to handle more power a lot of people do not understand basic transmissions including me, but you explained your valve body so well!

    Great video, you had me at the 26sec mark with "valve body is lowest quality piece of shit"... just bought your setup and can't want to get it into my 2016 Ram 2500 throwing 0871 codes. Thanks bro.

    2017...So if I just got a Dealer Warranty Rebuild at 98k miles (108k miles now) that they did basically everything But the complete Valvebody. They said they did a piston or 2 in the VB and the solenoid pack, Fluid Pump, Torque Coverter, and other smaller things. But I still have the Bumpy and hanging/lag shifting, sometimes hard bump on down shifting. All of this on non hard driving. Worse of course with Up shifting on harder accelerating and especially when got a engine tune with Trans tune too. Also only 342 gears and 37" tires (literally 36"). Plan to do 38's or 40's with 456 or 488 gears.
    Would just the $399 V4 DIY build kit do wonders and allow a higher shift pressure to not wear or beat up on the trans, or need more things replaced as in the $995 High Performance VB?
    Does the $995 purchase include what's in the $399 VB kit or they're separate to purchase and install? One or both are easy enough DIY installed?
    FYI...
    It is a 130hp tune with TCM reprogram too. It is all for moderate and full emissions in place truck.

    I’m considering a 24 ram 3500 diesel/68rfe towing 15k 5th wheel. Should I look for Aisen or?

    • @NextGenDrivetrainInc
      @NextGenDrivetrainInc  4 дні тому

      @@eberhoozen Either one has strengths and drawbacks, and either one is hyper reliable with a valve body upgrade from day-one. I would proceed with either one and just be sure to throw a valve body in it right away! The 68RFE is a little cheaper to work with and easier to find support for, but the Aisin will pull more weight with more ease. Neither answer is a wrong one.

    What would cause clunky 2 to 1 down shifts at real slow speeds like slowing down before my driveway. 48000 miles on my 68rfe. Stock trans

    • @NextGenDrivetrainInc
      @NextGenDrivetrainInc  4 роки тому

      Bad accumulator pistons! Valve body time! When they bottom out against the backing plate before a shift is complete, you’ll get a bang. 2-1 downshift is seemingly more common for this symptom.

    Phenomenal video and great info. Playing here to stay was icing on the cake🤘 yall will be getting my future business for sure. If you are interested in extreme long range shooting I'd be interested in trading services. I have a built 68rfe from a local shop but he even told me the valve body may need upgraded. Dont know what he put in it but am having trouble with 2nd gear lockup. Then again could be tuning

    Did ram ever update the 68rfe transmission? I am looking at a 2019. Is it exactly the same transmission as a 2007 when this trany came out?

    • @NextGenDrivetrainInc
      @NextGenDrivetrainInc  4 роки тому

      The transmissions are different brother! They changed from 2007.5 to 2010, 2011 to 2018, and then again in 2019. The units are all slightly different and the changes are primarily in the pump and valve body.

    Just found your video. If I buy this valve body up grade, what about the trans relearn? I think I can do this myself. But this is a lot of money. Can you talk about that.

    • @NextGenDrivetrainInc
      @NextGenDrivetrainInc  3 роки тому +1

      Yes sir! Easy day! A relearn is not necessary during install, but is helpful if possible. If you do not have the means to perform a quick learn, DON’T WORRY! Just drive the valve body at under 30% throttle for the first 100 miles and in this timeframe, the CVI’s will all hone in perfectly and this will substitute the act of the quick learn in final effect. For further support, give us a call at 1-833-382-5427!

      g b Though there is no specific answer, if it operates in the 50-110 degree over ambient temperature margin, it is generally healthy.
