Exactly what i was thinking. Ive never seen someone use the end of the roller in general. I was in awe at the precision. I wouldve opted for a brush. 😅

Hello, I am the Barbora from the video and I am very honored that an artist of such qualities came to our school (which is definitely not in such a great condition 😂) and destroyed the boundaries. Your wall was one of the main discussed topics of the festival. A thousand thanks!!! Ďakujeme ❤

The design is amazing it not only gives off the message of no boundaries but also shows the innovation of film and how it went from black and white to the amazing colorful thing we have today, absolutely love it😍

  • @happymicrobe8123

I like the design too! It is not super complex with a lot of detail, but that also kind of makes the charme. And it transports the message very well!

Use yellow Frog Tape or similar for freshly painted surfaces, it will also make your lines cleaner. It could also help if you prime the wall and allow proper time for that primer to dry before your painting. The primer will prevent chipping and ultimately make your colors more vibrant when using the right color primer. Another technique would be cool to see in some of your art would be tape-caulking, incredibly sharp lines with depth to the line, but takes a specific method and speed. This is coming from a 20+ year professional painter, not an artist. Great piece, always a joy to watch you paint.

I'm also a tradesman and agree on your suggestion of using a lower tack tape!! Always helped my out on problem surfaces and taking the tape off whilst paint is wet

So Doke, I’ve been watching your videos for the better part of two weeks now. Your work is awesome. And your accent is cool (I don’t have one since I’m a boring Midwest American so I like listening to them)
I had the urge to try spray painting but big pieces aren’t something I could manage. Proper proportions and stuff. But I did find a UA-camr who painted on canvas. So I dropped everything I was doing a bought some. Granted hardware supplies aren’t the best tools, but I wanted to start quickly since I had a day off today. Basically I’m saying I am now gonna do more spray painting. My first piece was just me following the other UA-camrs piece, which I couldn’t copy cause again, bare bones of materials. But it looks sick!
    I’m now hooked!! Thanks man

@Doke ..I love your work and have watched loads of your videos. As an artist myself and on this piece in particular, I've a question/critique from a visual point of view, why did you not paint the internal part of the camera in the same style of the colours to create a depth illusion? Just a thought..Much love and respect from London 🙏💜🙏

Very nice Work and Design. I Like it :)
    Just in case:
For preperation before painting you could use "Wallprimer" (if this is the right word, on german it's "tiefengrund") to fix the problem with lose underground also usefull if you have color/fluid soaking/absorbing materials to paint.
For thin rounded lines or masking canvas works like your "glitter" paining, you can use for example "3M 471 Scotch Fineline".
    Regards from Germany

  • @yevgenynoordermeer1533
    @yevgenynoordermeer1533 3 роки тому

Very nice work! Love your videos.
For very straight lines you could try a blemish line. Its useful for longer distances and also easy to apply if your alone and any surface. And it takes away the problem with the tape pulling of the paint.
Downside, you need a more steady hand while painting.
Loking forward to your next video.

I painted my new room with a geometric design and the previous owner put some type of adhesive to the wall for wallpaper and I didn't know this and used masking tape for spacers and when I was all finished with the painting and letting it dry a little bit, when I peeled the masking tape off the wall it started to rip the paint I off the wall but I managed to save half of the wall but other than that the other side turned out perfect, great video doke and I can relate to the pain of a fucked up wall

Well done, improvising when things don't go as you expected. However, for a next time: there's special tape for fragile walls... It's often pink or purple tape and it doesn't stick that well, but enough to be effective... Pro tip: first paint the edge of the tape with the colour beneath the tape... so if there's any bleeding under the tape it'll be the colour that's already there.... When this paint is just dry go over it with the new colour. Simple technique for creating really sharp lines using tape that's not likely to damage the wall...

I especially like the end of the roller being used like a big sharpie! Don't get me wrong, doke is a cool handle, but take your talent and create great work without it being your subject matter. Sign it someplace on lower right where a viewer has to hunt for it, not spread eagle all over your canvas.
