That Nightflight To Venus was a HUGE staple in our family. However, I want an original Atlantic but sealed. I know there is a reissue but I sooo want an original. Great post!! hahhahah!! LOVE IT!!
Boney M sold like hot cakes in the 70s in Germany, and back in the days when I was still living in Europe, you could find these records in the dollar bin in Germany, thanks for watching, take care 😊

I love this idea! Everyone has different “Guilty Pleasure” records. Edith Piaf is a must have for me. Been listening to her for decades. Music possesses memories. Nostalgia goes a long way when it comes to collecting vinyl records. ✌🏽
Thank you Steve, this one video was pretty personal indeed. And you're absolutely right, I can relate each of these albums to a specific place, or moment of my life. I didn't buy the Edith Piaf record myself, it belonged to my grandmother. So you can imagine, all the nice memories associated with it. Cheers, FVA

François Hardy had done a French cover of the one I mentioned (La Maison Où j'ai Grandi) Boney M was a band formed in Germany by Frank Farian, the one who reiterated the experience a couple of decades later with Milli Vanilli. Hey Romuald, thanks for the tip on Adriano Celentano. Just listened to his track L'Unica Chance... wow that is super funky! The bass, those chanted backing vocals and the wah wah guitar lead... so good. Not sure about Adriano's dance moves though... they need a bit of work! I always like a bit of Edith Piaf too. I'll need to ask my wife if she used to listen to Peter Alexander at Christmas too. Nightflight to Venus is a classic... love that album. Can't beat a bit of ABBA either. You're right... they were geniuses when it comes to melody. Great selection and would like to listen to some of the Alsace folk music, can you recommend a good track to start with?
Hey Jack, thanks for commenting. Alsace folk songs are not as you can imagine 🙂, our music is dominated by accordion and there is always a sense of humour, of candour, of joy or sorrow. If you are ready for the ultimate test, give ''In Strossburi Gett's kenn jumpfra meh'' a fair hearing, you can only either love it or hate it 😄
