Hey thanks, Steph.. I did get some good ones, and I have been enjoying John Prine again, lately. That Bowie Diamond Dogs is an OG orange RCA U.S. copy. Croce ! We all loved him in the 70's, and I remember how sad it was when he passed in that plane crash way back in the day.. "New York's Not My Home" is a good one. I like just about every genre of music.. it keeps it fresh ! Cool , and thanks

I always like seeing the scenery in your videos. I can't believe how many good titles were there for 50 cents. Those Van Morrison albums are both good and Bruised Orange is my favorite Prine album. I love that cover on the Tennessee Ernie Ford album.

It is the last remnant of the great ocean that covered the west all the way up to the BC border
Lake Tahoe looks very beautiful. So many great titles at the thift store: Christopher Cross, Cat Stevens, and Elton are a few favorites. The Duran Duran Arena live album is the first DD album I had in middle school. I had this on cassette tape. It has the bonus track "Wild Boys".
I couldn't believe it when I saw those two Duran Duran LP's ( 1 EP, actually ). I listened to Teaser & The Firecat a couple of days ago.. It never ever gets old !

If you do not have the Rockpile {to which I am sure that you do} you should check to see if the Lowe & Edmunds Sing the Everly Bros 7" is inside. Way to sniff out the wax. I picked up that Rockpile LP , and the crazy thing that happened was I had Skynyrd 2nd Helping on the table.. And forgot to pack it with the other 40 records ! Ouch !! I have been wanting a clean copy of that one, and the only studio Lynyrd Skynyrd I was missing. I hope to go back one more time.. To get over the sting, I bought the re issue for 22 online. It sounds great !

I saw Skynyrd in 1976 as a backup to {get this} Jeff Beck. It was at the Cape Cod Coliseum. A general admission show. About a month later I saw Frampton perform Comes Alive. That summer of 76 was a good one for shows. But 1977 was the absolute best for shows. I saw Queen, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, ELP, Yes, The Kinks, Heart, etc... Good to hear that we share the love of Lynyrd Skynyrd~

Was lucking enough to see them do the soundtrack to Sorcerer live about a year before we lost Edgar. George Jones is a legend and the older I get the more my appreciation for country music grows.
Part of the reason is this region I live in.. Historically good for picking vinyl out there in the real wild ! The other thing is I'm pretty pro at connecting with owners and workers at various shops that if I ask, often they have more records stored somewhere ! There were some great country titles and more records that I might go back for next week. Good to have you back home, Ben
Amazing finds JT. You had your son and if I come across a large find, I would call to my wife, "please get me a shopping cart". The Outlaws album with the song "Green Grass and High Tides" is a gem of southern fried rock. Thanks again for sharing.
I have been on a southern rock kick, lately Walter. Outlaws and Blackfoot are terrific, especially the early Blackfoot ! I did alright on this one, and I needed a new place to dig, although Bill's is still going strong. ( He must of had 10,000 records in there to start with last year ) !

I know ! I lost focus a little by not having it my stack. What I did when I came home is I ordered the repress online for 22.00. 2nd Helping is the only Skynyrd I was missing of the studio LP's. If it's still there when I go back next week.. Cool. If not, I've got one !

John Prine. I would start with his debut with" Sam Stone" and Angel From Montgomery" then Sweet Revenge then Diamonds In The Rpugh, and last of the four.. Bruised Orange ! A wealth of lyrics, textures, and music. Very cool that you appreciate George Jones, Ben ! Croce has some very timeless songs.. " New York's Not My Home" " Operator" several others.. And " Roller Derby Queen" !! I will give the TD debut Alpha Centurai a spin soon.. It's been ages since I heard it !

George Jones is a legend and the older I get the more my appreciation for country music grows.
Part of the reason is this region I live in.. Historically good for picking vinyl out there in the real wild ! The other thing is I'm pretty pro at connecting with owners and workers at various shops that if I ask, often they have more records stored somewhere ! There were some great country titles and more records that I might go back for next week. Good to have you back home, Ben
Amazing finds JT. You had your son and if I come across a large find, I would call to my wife, "please get me a shopping cart". The Outlaws album with the song "Green Grass and High Tides" is a gem of southern fried rock. Thanks again for sharing.
I have been on a southern rock kick, lately Walter. Outlaws and Blackfoot are terrific, especially the early Blackfoot ! I did alright on this one, and I needed a new place to dig, although Bill's is still going strong. ( He must of had 10,000 records in there to start with last year ) !

@mad4vinyl802 I pretty much screamed when I flipped by that Sundays EP !! It has their 1st single on it. A while back, I pulled their debut out of Bill's for 6 dollars, or so ! Right.. 4 John Prine LP's in the same box, with 2 that I was missing !

when at the hall I saw 2 fans wearing Blink 182 , Foo Fighters the other shirts were of my time period but I noticed when going to the malls
it's Metalica, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Kiss and Ac/dc I asked a sales person in the gift shop why are we not seeing Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jethro Tull and Cheap Trick he says there no big selliers like Ac/dc, Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd I told him it's not like that band the Flood ( the bands Jeff Shows)

Sure ! I do see T's around town with Led Zep, Skynyrd PF Cheap Trick, not so much Tull these days ( I might get one ) and other classic bands..

@carltweed942 No, I didn't know about Joe Val. I will go back again anyhow. That was a tough dig.. No internet, going in blind with lots of very good roots / country artists all around. Original US orange Diamond Dogs and The Sundays were two good ones.. All of the 40 records, actually. I will look at Joe Val. Thank you, Carl !
