I met a few people from Mozambique, while in Lisbon. They were super nice, and welcoming! The men, lovely. Hehe! When I go back, I was told, they’ll take me to have Mozambican food, in Lisbon.
Mozambique is a beautiful country I have never been there but from what I can see the country looks like prosperous and stable. Thank you Sly for this great video 👍🌹🌹
It's sounds like you were describing the locally made rice. I don't eat Nigerian made rice either, because they're riddled with stones. India is the one country that has perfected the production of rice, more than any country in the world
Appreciate the visit just wanted to say you could called it something better than sweaty, you could have looked for gyms with ac and with 1 or 2 days free trial, also if the country where you was at before was cold when you visit a country while its hot or in summer you will sweat a lot cause your body didn't go through the gradual process to adapt to the temperature since it was abrupt, that's prolly why you say it's sweaty not because it's actually sweaty Appreciate the visit tho
Great brother, when are you planning for a next trip, so I can guide and show you some more interesting places and very affordable to eat out around here
I have just come back to Kampala Uganda, from Maputo Mozambique, where I was for a month. There two different exchange rates, the official one and the black market one. Crosscheck and see.. Watching and following from Kampala Uganda East Africa
The local language in Maputsu(Maputo) is Tsonga/Shangaan same as in SA but different accent and dialect. Unfortunately Portuguese let the language die on purpose by banning the locals from speaking it, hence new generations can't speak Shangaan in Maputo.
The two hundred meticais note is green and looks like the American dollars. If you mix them up, you will be trouble. But whilst purchasing items in Maputo, i was corrected when ever i mistakenly overpaid, which is good about the maputo people
Well that makes sense since Bahia Brazil is a coastal area Portuguese colony and the slaves brought to the Bahian coast were Bantu central african slaves and Mozambique is also a bantu tribal costal country colonized by the Portuguese so both places are very similar.
Some people from Mozambique were taken to USA in the 1700-1800s, but they sadly since it was such a long boat ride, most ppl died on the ship, however some African Americans have Mozambique ancestors
@@neverlookback1244 yes some were also taken to USA as well. For some reason, ppl on the continent don’t believe that ppl from Mozambique, Madagascar, Angola and Congo were taken to USA. Not sure why they believe the slave traders were 100% truthful in where they took ppl. Example. Portuguese told ppl they were taking a ship full of Angolans to Mexico in 1619, but they ended up in Virginia, so now when African Americans tell Angolans, hey our ancestors were from there, they get told, no Portugal took people to Mexico and Brazil, not USA. Stop believing slave traders
The other strange thing i found in maputo is that people there ask for TIPs, after you purchase or buy something. I thought it is surposed to be VOLUNTARILY PAID
Oh honey you can say no entendo and walk away. It's because you're a tourist. I've never once been asked to pay tips . Mozambicans barely know what that is😂
Drying clothes on balconies may look "favela-ish" as you say, but surely in this "net zero" time it is something that should be encouraged and it should be illegal to forbid it!
Muitos até aumentam preços nas suas bancas quando vêm uma pessoa branca ou americana, because they know the currency exchange won't make a big difference to them. But to me it's about the lack of honesty that is disgusting to see among our brothers and sisters for the sake of wanting money.💲😓
Welcome to Mozambique 🇲🇿 hope you have a great stay

That is sad to see indigenous languages dying. I hope locals promote their native languages
Nah actually it's not dead we the locals speak it among ourselves but yes Portuguese is the main language
Welcome to mozambique 🇲🇿
Very nice ❤

Visiting Maputo sounds great! Can you get around town speaking english?

Looks like Brasil Rio de janeiro?
Some people from Mozambique were taken to USA in the 1700-1800s, but they sadly since it was such a long boat ride, most ppl died on the ship, however some African Americans have Mozambique ancestors
Most of enslaved people in Mozambique were taken to Brazil since both countries were former colonies of Portugal

And as Africans, we found it strange to be charged UsD 100 each as VIZA payments (VIZA on arrival)
92 Celcius or Feronheit?
