Hi Andy. Big fan of your show. Never commented before. Wanted to offer a little additional info on Iga's record. Since the beginning of 2022, Iga's record is 180 - 24, which is 88%. Her record against top 10 players during that time is 36 - 9 or 80%. Here is one I haven't seen mentioned. Since the start of 2022, she has entered 45 tournaments and has won 19 of them (8 on clay and 11 on hard courts). In other words, she has won 42% of the tournaments she has entered in that time, including 4 of her 5 grand slams, 1 WTA final, and 9 of her 10 WTA 1000 titles. And as you know, she just turned 23. She is not there on grass yet, but if she stays healthy, she will get there, just like her idol Nadal did.
I just love the relaxed and fun manner in which these guys go through the draw but at the same time dropping great tips and information on the players. Great show as always.
Great review Andy, as always! I would have had Sabalenka winning Wimby if she wasn't injured. Just today, during the press conference, she said she can't serve and might even pull out. Hopefully, that's not the case, we shall see. So with Sabalenka being injured and Rybakina being ill, Gauff is probably the top favorite
Watched this video today before seeing any results. And my word did Andy got the majority of his picks in the first round right for the men's draw. Having Shapo beat Jarry and a few other notable wins. Only big miss was on Michelsen
Wow I never heard so much contention & standpoint from Roddick regarding this draw‼ His consensus can be applied to every Major! Bottom line there are matchups for every single player in the draws that give them trouble‼That means there's depth on both sides of the game now.
I feel like Andy glossed over some interesting matchups in early WTA rounds. Since this is grass, there is so much scope for potential upsets. I personally don’t think Marketa is going to have an easy path to defend the title with many banana peels like Volynets even before approaching Iga.
35:10 I think Diana Shnaider deserves at least a mention and has quite the fighting chance to frustrate Pliskova and move her around the court. She won Bad Homburg and moved into the top 30 today. Up and down sometimes but plays the clutch moments very well. Tough spot in the draw.
I think they might have recorded that before Bad Homburg and Eastbourne finals, didn't mention Kasatkina winning Eastbourne either. Also didn't replace Cocciaretto with Danilovic.
Andy you were my favourite when you were playing, which is why I first tuned into the podcast. I just love it. Wish there had been all this analysis and inside view of tennis behind the scenes earlier. Thanks All, great show 💖👏👏👏
Ostapenko might beat Iga, 0-4 can get in your head!, but Tomljanovic won't be easy. She plays well on Grass, did beat her there in 21 and they had a tight match this year.
Hey men!!! Congrats on the Shaw as always!!! I think the Italians could give you some surprises... I think you will start to get to know them better!!! Greetings from Italy ! ❤
32:15 Picking Kasatkina through at least the 4th round is aging well…tho sadly the Sabalenka one may not. I’m hoping she can be fit and healthy 35:41 I so hope you’re right about this! 🤞🏼 #Grassaka
Uh…I think everyone seems to have forgotten that Iga has added 10+ mph to her first and second serve. If you look at the match averages, she is faster on average than Coco with a far higher level of consistency and level with Rybakina now. Not saying she serves like Elena but I think people are going to be surprised, it’s why she is so dominant this year, that one fluke loss to Noskova aside. And her movement is a massive asset like Steffi’s was.
Great analysis as always really enjoying your takes and picks but HOW did you not say the name Diana Shneider?!? I feel that's an oversight. She should beat Pliskova and could streak to 4th round and further. Pliskova Shneider is one of the picks of the 1st round matches....
Andy, you never cease to impress me. I am a certified Iga fan, she has always been unfairly analyzed to the point that most commentators make negative comments against her no matter the surface, to unsettle her and just coz they dislike her or they dislike her consistently beating their faves. BUT YOU, I take note of your comments why Iga is vulnerable on grass. What you said are all valid and well but fairly analyzed. However, I think her team and iga are built different and she becomes wiser and i believe she will win this year. And, so brave, smart and bold for you to still choose her despite her vulnerabilities on grass. Says a lot about how well you know tennis, and as as yoda of tennis, you know that Iga is a generational talent and cant be dismissed easily. She is just godly on clay and outstanding on hard but she just needs to get used to grass. Please reserve a podcast on the fairness and cleanliness of draws coz iga is the only ranked 1 player who gets the toughest draws every damned time. No less than iga says that, she gets draws tougher than when she was unseeded. How come, lower half always has no big hitters and they are all reserved in iga's draw. I think this draws can be manipulated and they really make things hard for iga. How many times has almost all say that iga always gets the toughest draws. What are the odds of that happening 99% of the time? I hope iga gets even better because they never make her breathe, and she thrives on that as her common draws TO MAKE HER EVEN GREAT coz she gets to face all big players.
I could easily see Giron upsetting Zverev in the second round. He played extremely well against Hubi in Halle. I got Alex de Minaur winning it all, but I would also love seeing Tabilo or Musetti making an insane run. Shapo is my wildcard.
I have been a Stricker fan since last year's US Open when he beat Tsitsipas and I think landed in the quarters. He has had an injury that kept him out for months, but I am hoping he at least gets past Fils.
Pity that Sinner and Alcaraz are same half of the draw given Joker may not be fully fit. Great opportunity for someone in that half of the draw. I think we'll see Korda, Draper or Hurkacz in the final.
is this the same Korda who was getting similar hype last year then went out in Round 1 to J. Vesely but this year he's got a shot at making the final? okay. With 99.999% certainty Draper and Korda will not make the Wimbledon final. Hurkacz has the game but not the mentality and can't play the big pressure points.
@@_MrAvocado_ You're missing the point. If Joker's knee pushes him out, who are the seasoned Wimbledon finalists I'm overlooking in that half of the draw? There are none. Korda is a great all round player, Draper just won a grass tournament and has the perfect game to do well, Hurkacz has a great game for grass and is by far the most experienced in that half. The point is that if the knee turns out to be an issue early on, the last 16 in that half of the draw will have very few big names bar Hurkacz and, personally, I like Korda and Draper to do well. And if they do well, they won't have to beat any big player to get to the final. But feel free to list all the other obvious picks from that half of the draw. There's really only Fritz, and I'm not convinced his form is that great right now. No Andy, you are not crazy. I actually think, that even if Djokovic wins his 2-3 rounds in 3 sets, he will retire once something more difficult and longer occurs. He didn't play well this year and didn't have many opportunities to train for such a big event since his injury, he had no chance to rise the level. For me, there is no reason to believe he will be in SF. The final for me looks more like Sinner vs Hurkacz. Also, personally I don't see players like Michelsen, Nakashima, Sonego or even Khachanov and Zverev going so far in the competition.

Iga is only in the game with a chance at Wimbledon until she plays a power player who is playing lights out not missing like a Rybakina, Sabalenka or Osaka. Doesn’t matter how well she plays on faster surfaces if they are on Iga will lose.
I feel bad for Shapovalov. He is the most naturally gifted tennis player I've ever seen... and he's never won a major. His unforced errors kill him. I don't know what's wrong. Bad coaching. Not enough discipline. Shapovalov is kind of a Renaissance man too. He's a gifted musician and loves animals. Maybe he was never able to focus enough. I don't have an answer. I just feel badly for Shapovalov.
He is 25 and has won $ 11 million plus and now lives in Nassau Bahamas to avoid Canadian income taxes that are used to pay for governmental services. Don't feel badly for him particularly as he doesn't know you from Adam. Feel badly for all the homeless folks in NYC. Sports fans are an odd bunch.
Why? What does it mean "fun"? Is she not smiling enough? Talking jokes while serving? Not playing 3 sets all the time? Or maybe she is winning too much?
You guys are taking Shnaider over Pliskova??? Pliskova is playing terribly atm and Schnaider literally just won Bad Hamburg. I think Azarenka has a terrible draw.

Most naturally gifted you’ve ever seen!!!!!!!!! You must have not watched much tennis. Were you watching during Roger’s era
Oh please, I've been watching tennis since Joan Rivers was married to Mozart.
@@davidhunternyc1 then why make such a silly comment to say shapovalov is the most naturally gifted you’ve ever seen
Carlos
He is 25 and has won $ 11 million plus and now lives in Nassau Bahamas to avoid Canadian income taxes that are used to pay for governmental services. Don't feel badly for him particularly as he doesn't know you from Adam. Feel badly for all the homeless folks in NYC. Sports fans are an odd bunch.
Well there goes your women’s bracket.
Chuckster!
DM winning vs Novak shows the IQ of the guy and show ! Nothing more to stay. Novak will win with one leg vs DM on grass
I expect to see an instagram story by Ms Decker trying to cancel Andy again. #anothertreadmill
My favorite for the title is Naomi Osaka. You heard it here first..
Iga is fine but just not fun to watch. Go Gauff, Sabalenka!
Why? What does it mean "fun"? Is she not smiling enough? Talking jokes while serving? Not playing 3 sets all the time? Or maybe she is winning too much?
Sabalenka -Rybakina FINAL
You guys are taking Shnaider over Pliskova??? Pliskova is playing terribly atm and Schnaider literally just won Bad Hamburg. I think Azarenka has a terrible draw.
