Got to say mate , you are top bloke. Never been disappointed by your content, advice and presentation. You are helping me become better at photography. Priceless.
Got to say, my heart skipped a beat when I thought this was going to be a negative comment! And then it made my day when I read the second sentence! Thanks so much, and I’ll try to live up to a 3M standard 😄
Oh my God. I really like your explanation. You're completely great about finding lessons to teach us. I watch all most all your videos. Thank man. Keeping it up.
Very thought provoking! This has me thinking a lot about color and mood. Amazing how you can present this so thoroughly in a short video Spencer. This is one I will definitely revisit from time to time. Thank you!
Sure thing! Glad you enjoyed it. Any time you’re thinking about color and mood in photography, I consider that a big win. Always helps me take better photos.
👍 for another great lesson. Very clear and insightful explanations on colors. I probably never really pursued some of the nuances you talked about, but goes to the adage your can learn something new every day’.
Thank you, Michelle! I admit I don’t always think about these things when I’m taking pictures, but when I do remember them, I see a pretty clear improvement in my photos. Glad you learned something from the video, and best of luck putting it into practice next time you’re out photographing!
I love the quality and practical content you provide in this channel. It's also great that you show us sample pics of the points that you are discussing. Makes it easier to visualize what you mean! On a side note: I'm not sure now where I read it but I remember you recommend the book The Art of Photography (Barnbaum). So I ordered it! Excited to receive it soon. I just hope that as this channel continues to grow, someday soon you will also have your very own merch! Just sayin.... :)
Really appreciate it! Yes, that’s such an awesome book, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Thanks for the kind words about my channel, too. I’ll do what I can to reach that point!
Thank you, Natalia! Yes indeed, I just finished filming the background and example footage I’ll need for those videos, plus all the sample photos. I still need to write and film the presentations, but compared to what I’ve done so far, that part will be much easier.
@@PhotographyLifeChannel Goes without saying. Your presentation is concise and lucid. Can confidently share your videos with any photography enthusiast. Totally excited for the astrophotography series.
@@PhotographyLifeChannel Hiya. Just waiting for Tropical Storm Eta to pass by today. We may get up to six inches of rain 😯 All the Best from The Bahamas.
Thanks! I’ll make a video about that next year, but can’t do it as part of the batch with the other astro videos because I don’t have the equipment for it at the moment. It’s on my list though!
Looks like the Z7 II is a big enough improvement on the Z7 that it's what I would recommend for photographers considering between the two of them. It fixes the two biggest issues with the Z7, which are the lack of a second card slot, and the non-removable shooting information that covers the display. Between the Z7 II and the Sony A7III, I'm a Nikon shooter and tend to prefer Nikon cameras side by side with other brands, but the A7III is a pretty killer camera as well. They're for slightly different audiences, though - first you'd need to decide if you need the higher megapixel count of the Z7 II, or are good with the 24 megapixels on the Sony A7III.
@@shebinbiju7238 Image quality is identical between the Z7 and Z7 II. Both of them will have somewhat better image quality than the Sony A7 III because they have 45 rather than 24 megapixels, and base ISO 64 rather than base ISO 100. At ultra-high ISO values, the image quality differences between the three cameras will get smaller and smaller.
@@shebinbiju7238 Sure thing! And yes, if it’s within your budget, the Z7 II would be my recommendation. The regular Z7 is still a great camera though, you can’t go wrong either way.
Q. I saw forever ago that Nasim (and I thought you too?) were unhappy with LR and were looking to switch to something else but then I never saw anything about a switch and just kept seeing bits about LR. Did y'all never switch? If not, why? I'm so over issues with my PC and LR (doesn't matter what PC & LR version I've had over the years, LR just makes awesome PCs suck) and would love to find something else but haven't seen anything that can replace both it's editing capabilities and it's catalog/organization/labeling capabilities. Thx.
You're remembering correctly! I've now tried Capture One, Exposure, and ON1 as potential replacements. The only one that's an improvement, in my opinion, is Capture One. Unfortunately, it's only the editing side of things that it improves, and the organization is less than stellar. It's also a lot less intuitive to use. These days I'm mostly using Lightroom and partly using Capture One. It's not a situation I'm thrilled with, but I have yet to find the ideal solution. Wish I could be more helpful...
@@E_House Sure thing! Same here. There are a lot of options out there which *nearly* work as a replacement, but all the ones I've used have some fundamental issues that prevent them from being a full replacement. Capture One is the only one I'd consider, and it's much faster, but it takes some workarounds on things like organizing and exporting properly.
You are a great communicator and are superb at explaining your subject. However, I'm not a lover of the 'excessive hand gestures' that infects so many presenters. Like a lot of post editing - a little usually gives a better result. Meant to be constructive as I always seek out your presentations.
Thank you, Grant! I agree, it can be distracting sometimes. I’m a big gesturer when I get excited about a topic, and I always find myself needing to tone it down for these videos! Will try to do it a bit less in the future 😂
